  • In the past month, we have collected over 1.5m kg of trash with Interceptor 006 in Guatemala.
We are still learning from operating in this harsh environment, but we’ll build on this positive start and keep optimizing the Interceptor Barricade for this one-of-a-kind river.

The force of the climate deniers is still extraordinary. And exhausting to confront. You'd think the weather itself would be enough evidence, but it's doing little to sway them ...
Dunning-Kruger effect has reached tsunami levels. What can we do, please?
      Paz y luz to all.

River pollution, dumping trash in it, should be strictly and severely punishable by law, either a very high fine when being caught for it or straight up jail sentence if ever this particular offense is judged to be real serious, dangerously impactful and alarming.. There should be no mercy whatsoever, all should be duly punished severely without exceptions.. 😒😤 Then only people would finally learn and understand how devastating this act really is that's why all these severe laws and punishments have been set in place, making it be a well deserved lesson for them and also not to mention that this gonna then turn into an intimidating and scary warning to all those future offenders, which even the mere thought of committing such an offense gonna be terrifying for them haha..* 😂😂

    • @christophkogler6220

@@denisevilladain these situations it's often as much the individuals fault as the governments (or the lack of government). When there is no garbage collection system in a large city, the waste still has to go SOMEWHERE. It usually sits on streets until hard rains or gets dumped in the nearest river. Obviously these people are partially to blame as they are the direct source, but when garbage collection literally is not available, what else can they do? Bury the trash themselves in an unsafe way, burn it and breathe the toxic fumes? That's nearly as bad as just dumping it in a river, isn't it?

What's worse is that much of this is government in our country. We in Canada were told for years that you need to recycle and we did. Then China stopped taking foreign recycling about 7yrs ago and our country acted like it was business as usual. Right up until early 2020 when we find out that our recycling is actually send to Indonesia and small Asian countries not to be recycled but where it stays in open fields and next to beach. We then find out that Canada also does the same in Phillipines and that their president was sending back ships full of recycling (really garbage) saying we can "choke on our garbage." Turns out the recycling sham was finally revealed to Canadians but then the insane two years of lockdown came and it got forgotten. So I, my family, friends and neighbour's all did our parts but it turns out local, provincial and federal bodies did not and actually covered up the scam until Phillipines and Asian countries turned out government in.
Our local government also has all these feelgood programs but a few years ago dumped over 1 billion and half litres of sewage in river.
The St Greta love fest in the city left more garbage and littering than most festivals because most people love to virtue signal but have zero problems throwing their Starbucks, McDonald's wrappers on floor.
Corporations and governments have a huge role in this as do people.

*Yeahhhh, that's what we need.. All should come together, be united as one to combat pollution, help in cleaning and clearing each and every polluted area and also join forces and minds to educate our future generations to always keep our environment clean and breathable at all cost and as much as possible, learning how to always have this keeping the environment clean mindset at all times, just like how they always love to keep their own houses all neat and shining clean.. 🤗 That also including when traveling to any foreign country, everywhere should be treated with this exact same mentality and gestures, only then our beloved planet Earth gonna be looking like a real QUEEN that she is..* 😍🥰

Which is done through explaining to a public who doesnt care about the future of the planet/environment they live in, that they cant throw trash out their window which when rain arrives gets swept into the river and out into the ocean.
