Dick Gregory was one of the most brilliant minds of and in American history. His words are as true today as they were when this was recorded. He was a teacher of liberty for all peoples. RIP Dick ❤️💪🙏

As a 72 years old Black American Man living in The United States Of American and listen to the speech Dick Gregory gave at Kent State in 1971, our Country remains just as ills in 2021, as it was then. In fact, one could say our condition as a whole, has changed for the worse. Why? There are numerous reasons for the sad state of our health decline, such as the citizens of our Country's inability to recognize the Good people from the Bad, or just look the other way and hope things will change for the better. News Bulletin. As long as the power decision-makers of our country continue to treat the Black Americans Race as an unclean sponge, allowing immigrants to receive financially assistance, whereas we as a Race get to talk about reparation, instead of a Money payout for the cruelty our Ancestors experience. Just a damn shame.

@ Bgood2life, As a white man, I will never fully understand the feelings or injustices that people of color, Black Americans in particular, because I never lived it. I can only imagine it, and empathize with it. I was an angry and violent young man. When my crew went out on Friday night, we would not start fights, but we ended them. We brawled in the bars and in the street. I could not , at that age let the fact that my grandparents had to sit at the back of the bus, or use a different bathroom, and hear them say "yessir" to some white kid , when HE should say excuse me sir, in respect for my grandpop! I would have been 5 times as angry had I been a young black man. Chances are that I would be behind bars for attempted murder. Slavery has gone on since man walked on two legs. Slavery would not have made me angry, but the B.S. that was heaped on my family and myself would have made me a ticking time bomb.

@@bgood2lifealways36 That does not sound strange to me . I would grab a beer with you any time and we would find many common beliefs, we might have different skin, but I think we are two men that could very easily talkabout any number of topics. I wish you all the best my friend. I think both of us are quite aware that this system, penal system that is, is broken, and it has been for a long time. Cops are totally out of control, innocent men are put in the stir every day, and it must stop. You know, when I was in my 20`s I was deathly afraid of doing time for a crime that I did not commit. Well ,it almost happened, but my reaction to the accusation sent me in to a fury right in the police station. It took 4 cops to pull me off the detective. His name was Steve Toth, and I bought my first car off of him. They all knew I was indeed furious at their accusation, and backed right off when I told them to do any an all searches and lie detector tests, witnesses, blah blah. They never called me back in for questioning. I will never support the Death penalty, and that is one big reason. Sorry I chewed your ear off, but a flood of emotions came over me. Peace!! 🕸😲
