    That’s a Powermore engine, basically a Kohler clone. They’re pretty good, I had the same one on a Cub Cadet push mower and it was powerful and smooth running. Pretty easy to work on too, plus parts are cheap.

      Thanks! I did some work on a cub with this engine. That’s how I found out about the carb vent lol. But yes it ran great and had plenty of power

      I used to think so too, but after working on a bunch of them that weren’t ruined by customers running them without oil or with mouse nests in them they actually seem much better than I gave them credit for. Not as good as Loncin but not that bad IME.
