@@loriann8551 I'm in Tulsa and I have neighbors that constantly harass, threaten my life, and assault us. Every single one of them have ignored every part of their conditions for a deferred sentence except paying the fine. Guess what, the second they pay that fine. They complete their sentences. It's so biased. They allowed them to be an hour late on multiple occasions without reprimanding them. On one occasion the perpetrator was late and the judge took it out on my husband. It's a shit show. Right now as we speak one of them is going to court for saying "I'm going to kill you" on CCTV and is still continuously driving by our house having his kids yelling profanities and video recording us on his cell phone. It's horrible. I promise you don't want to have to deal with any court in Oklahoma!

[3] The Court: Okay. I understand.
[4-10] Dr. Faltas: And I want to put on the record once again Ms. Helms making faces at me or at the jurors when she doesn’t hear me and gestures and this is all to my detriment. This is going to be a recurring issue, and if there is an appeal, there is going to be an issue with my ability to obtain the transcript from her. And I want that on the record, if it pleases the Court.
[11-21] The Court: All right. It’s on the record. And witnesses should not make faces. None of the participants should make facial reactions to anything in such a way as to cause a juror to form an opinion of any of the participants based on expressions made by anyone in the courtroom, be that person a court reporter, a judge, a law clerk, a bailiff, witness, anyone, spectator. Poker face, everyone, as to everything and we’ll follow that rule in this court. [¶] Okay. Now, with regard to the computers, they’re at the police department. Agree 100%. Jurors are not allowed to have their phones on because they want them to listen attentively, free from distractions...but the judges can text/use phone during trial? No, it shouldn't be allowed. Judge and lawyers are not more important than jurors, witnesses, defendants, or court attendees. The rule of no phone use in the courtroom during trial should apply to them as well.
P.S. they can look up case law on their computer rather than their smartphone to alleviate any question. Even then, it should be done during motions/sidebar, etc, not testimony/direct evidence because they should be listening and paying attention. 🙄
