It's bold, it's beautiful but it does come at a cost. I didn't even mention the display stand that sells on Focus Attack for $70!!

That's why I ordered two Seimitsu LS-32 Evo 2022 sticks. One to play with and two to admire 😁

Shame not using it, but I get the sentiment of having it as an art piece too. I use mine as my daily driver. The extra shafts are really nice, I put the +4mm in the 40th body and the stock length in a second LS-32 with an SS plate. Boom, two LS-32's with the ball mounted at proper height, both with gold plated shafts. Makes a good combo with one being shorter throw as well.

I'm definitely gonna put mine in a clear top case and use it, then display it when I'm not playing. It is art!

Yes, please use it! If you take a closer look at the pivot, you will notice it has an improved mold compared to a standard LS-32. Not only is the quality much higher, meaning a much smoother and more accurately molded pivot surface without any noticeable defects (Big difference to the standard LS-32). It has a slightly improved pivot shape and better shaped grease traps to keep it running longer without re-greasing.
I also understand anyone who will just display it because it looks really nice as display art piece.

@@arcadedbeast This explains why my 40th anniversary and normal 32's feel different! I put the Seimitsu steel pivot in both of them, on the 40th anniversary it completely removed pivot hop while on the older 32 there was minimal difference.

@@zenithjcoke I'm getting the steel pivot in the mail on Friday or on Monday :) can't wait :)
There's some small manufacturing variances on the classic LS-32 pivots on the base and some hop less than others and i'm pretty sure the more the stick is used the more the pivot and the bearing settle in.
Also it's possible to use the thicker silicone grease that Sanwa uses (Shin-Etsu G40m) and with that the hopping is minimised. I generally like the Shin-Etsu G501 that Seimitsu uses because it's less sticky to handle and slippier in the pivot and doesn't have a smell like the Sanwa grease has. But it's great to have both so i can fine adjust between the two levels of friction.
Also i don't take the pivot hopping too seriously because it happens mostly because of heavy handed use and not by using some control with the switches.
I personally have an LS-32 on another arcade stick for general games and another arcade stick just for Tekken 7 where i have the LSX-Nobi-STD. I didnt like the bat top but the STD model works perfectly with a ball top.

@@arcadedbeast awesome, let me know how the steel pivot works out for you! I'm happy with mine, especially in the 40th for reasons above. The other LS-32 has pivot hop for up, down and right directions but not left which kinda makes it apparent. I would rather it has it in all directions than one feeling different. I'm only playing fighters and have a hard time being gentle with the movements in the heat of moment haha.
Good call with the 501 grease. I've got both 501 and g40m, but probably only relubed the 32 with the latter. Worth a shot. Loving the Nobi as well, running the standard myself and am loving the Nobi bat. Wish Seimitsu sold them separately.
Sidenote, still waiting for that VLX video on your channel! ;)

Cars are art, and we drive and maintain them. So that's what I'm going to do! This has been sitting around and I'm going to install into a white Hori RAP4 for good ol SHMUPS and 2 games.

Nothing wrong with that! The white and gold will look great together

I use a regular LS-32 and think it's a shame that the 40th anniversary one is better in some ways. Like using regular e-clips to retain the shaft instead of circlips. I'm also a big fan of the feel of a circle gate after using a Korean stick for a couple years.

Hi, I have some LS-32-10 joysticks, hovever, i didn´t find any info on the LS32-10 or any difference between the LS 32-10 and the LS 32-01 besides the LS32-10 being very bulky underneath, works great though, do you know if there´s anything that makes them different? great video.

The question here : did Seimitsu FIXED the pivot ?
And Also : the actual "normal" LS 32 : do Seimitsu also fixed the pivot for those "normal" LS 32 too ??
Sure it's cool to have the choice ( AT LAST .... ) of the length of the shaft.. but can we buy those shaft for the "normal" LS 32 ?
I guess seimitsu made a nice collector bundle for this joystick ... and that's it.
I won't argue : some people buy mini arcade console....

I have the same models but not the Anniversary and I will say that the only downside + weak link in this model is:
    - A strange solution to replace the gate (probably it could not be otherwise)
a spring (yes, I know it's a penny thing) that lasts a maximum of half a year and then becomes loose which translates into a larger deadzone.
Interestingly, in the cheapest Chinese, it lasts, lasts longer, maybe I came across two weak pieces.
I read a lot of good things, etc. about this model, so hmm
I was planning to buy this Anniversary model for my Cab, but I paused, as you said if someone is not a collector, there is no translucent panel, there is no point in overpaying;)
Would I buy it a second time, hmm, I would rather not try other models
