I'd definitely have some return bands on the carb, from the inlet and high speed nipple, to the slide...enough so that it can overcome the resistance of the servo gears... I test by unplugging the receiver pack with the throttle open in various positions, and look to see that the bands will close the carb fully... cheers...
Fairly new to Nitro racing, I have some .12 engines for 2wd trucks, and my son has been racing a Nitro Buggy with an AD3 engine. I just bought a Flash Point FP02 that will be getting broken in soon, and also had a B21 Ty2 engine serviced that I got from a friend... can't wait to see how they do compared to the AD3. I definitely still want to try a Reds, an FX K303, and a Nova ... You totally sound like you're related to the guy who does the AVE channel of tool review videos.... or at least from a similar area up north and maybe have watched him some....lol Cheers
I’ve been enjoying my nova b3r Just grabbed an os b2101 type s I’m eager to finally try an os engine as that was the goal until the nova was released I couldn’t resist
FYI the best carburetor ever! Made is and will always be the novarossi period how do I know because I've owned them all nova,os,reds, pico, lrp, triton, alpha, all
F tlr best grease for those parts is associated green slime, the only thing I use tlr is shock oils and diff oils and if your not racing you Wana go 100k in the middle and 50k front and rear that's what the legendary botijel the king of tlr bashing alway preached 100k in the middle and 50 front 50 rear puts all the power to the ground, nice video and difference between engines is longjefty the Italian will out last the China man keep up the good work my man👍
Also you need to take off the venturie cap off, pull throttle all the way open make sure the throat pulls open to the size of ventury I would run a 7.5 for stock, then on en points when you brake there needs to be no kick back when braking go watch jq engine tuning or set up highly!!!!! Recommend
@@thenitronation5815 I’m here because you click baited me successfully. I’m Looking for any sort of actual feedback on this engine in terms of performance, tuning or durability? Vs the OS as this video is named. I’d name this video “removing my OS engine and installing a nova engine”.
@Gggggghhvvbbb I love my nova but they have lots of quality control issues so I’m not so sure id recommend one over an os, you get an os you know it’ll be perfect both tuning and reliability. The os in that video had a little over 7 gallons and all original parts on it. My nova b5r was junk from day one it just never ran right and the thing kept crumbling so nova took it back and replaced it with a t6r evo and that thing has been perfect.

Looking forward to seeing this thing run.

Your problem with linkage is its a loss they suck! Balls but you do need a return spring or band period it's your only fale safe
did u rluse the original dynamite clutching on the nova? engine mounts were the same?
Yessir
I took the cluch off in my losi but where do those shims go
Likely behind the rear bearing
Which clutch shoes are those that have been lasting you that long?! Part number please if possible. Thanks!
They are the dynamite max life clutch shoes part # DYNP5188
❤🎉😮😊ไฟไฟไฟแอดพ์😊
You got no spring or a few rubber bands that Amani sells for return
It does help but not required
you replace and throw things away too much...
Who says I throw things away? I like to keep thinks fresh
Long video, contains none of the information I was waiting for. Thanks for the time waste 👍
That’s awesome!
@@thenitronation5815 yeah right, why don’t you make new video on how to wipe your ass? Could be informative. As much as this video.
Right on will do, if you don’t like it then why are you here?
