After seeing Spice on the Professor’s show, it’s awesome to see them on Game Knights! They were as much of a riot as I hoped they be, especially with the running gag with the monarchy deck.

I'm not even an hour into the video yet, but I just have to say, the production value on this is AMAZING. I haven't watched any of the previous live episodes (yet) and I knew that the Command Zone folks are consummate professionals, but even given that I am blown away by how good this is. Amazing work - thank you to everyone involved in preparing, presenting, playing/performing, and polishing this perfect product!

I don't know if it would have mattered but when the strategy became to mill Josh out, Jimmy should have wheeled prior to Josh's turn. Remember he had a full grip that he had been shaping to what he needed vs a random 7 from his library.
That was an awesome game to watch! Between the commentary (in game and out) and the game play itself, I had a great time! Thanks for sharing with us.

The new generation of magic players, especially the ladies, are just killing it ! It's amazing to see just how much the game has progressed in the last 5-10 years ! Cool to see people making a living from what was/is just a hobby for so many of us !

This game was so long... and I loved every f*ing second of it!
Nice episode! In case you're curious, since you mentioned the 'th'-like sound in "Barcelona" at the beginning: this is a regional difference. In Latin America, we pronounce Zs and soft Cs like an S. (Soft C in Spanish occurs before E or I.) But in most of Spain, they use a different sound, which is the one you heard. This is the sound of the letter, so it happens for all words, not just that one - even simple words like 'cero' are pronounced differently.
Of course, this isn't typically a problem when understanding each other; pronunciation in Spanish is very simple, and thus it has a lot of leeway for this kind of regional difference without hindering comprehension. I was in Barcelona myself three months ago and had very little issues with this, and whatever language issues I had were with people who only spoke Catalan in their daily lives and weren't at all used to Spanish. (I'm from Argentina, for reference. The differences in dialect are massive, but we can still figure it out, fortunately.)
Always awesome to see yall play!! Do notice that Josh really like combo/value which is fine but I feel the power level is sometimes skewed slightly. He doesn't always win but just noticeable.

wow the team brought their A game to Barcelona what a thrilling live battle, amazing production all around. Stoked for Josh, since now Jimmy, Rachel, and Josh are all in the finals together and they all had to earn their spots against some great players and decks.

This was really fun, the one thing that bothered me was when the commentators called out info that another player might not have known which changed how they might have played. Outplaying your opponents is part of the game, and if they don't know they will lose for one reason or another by an effect you got then it feels smart. having that called out feels bad if you would have own. I will say its different if another player reminds you as they are in the game.
I love how close this game was but how it also showed that the most expensive deck had the better answers and won (although just barley) but it was close, not some crushing defeat we all kind of picture with one deck towering over other ones in prices. It really comes down to synergy in deck construction and piloting. Solid win Josh, well earned! Also thanks for bringing on the spicy boi himself Spice8Rack and knighting him.

maybe Josh should lean into it and make cedh videos? I would watch that, cedh is cool, it makes me a bit sad to watch games where he wins because of rhystic and mana drain and other top tier competitive cards against more casual decks
Kobra kai guy (jacob) played the snake guy, it just works
Josh got lucky but when jimmy activated the bitter reunion, he could have used thassa to tap the magus so it could not activate since it did not have haste yet, allowing for more turns and josh would still have 1 to activate the bitter reunion for attacks.

Going through the decklists, I noticed the smallest non'bo in the colorless deck: Myriad Landscape can't fetch Wastes since Wastes don't have a land type.

This live works surprisingly well, but since this is excecuted professionally at this level, then I would like to remark two points where I felt could be improved:
1. Only bring audience members up for decisions where one would sometimes use a die to decide, though the card decision from Josh is fine because of the randomness.
2. The commentators should only comment on what has been done, and ofc describe why certain actions were taken. Not notify the players of possible moves, combos or traps. That kind of felt like that guy at the lgs thats not in the game but tells out loud what players should do.
In general the production value here is great though, it was a blast to watch! :D

The question was "what is the highest combined power and toughness of any creature that is legal in commander" . It was not a to cast etc.
The question is only meaningful when referring to printed power and toughness on creatures (which in turn means they have to be cards, which Marit Lage is not), because otherwise you have plenty of creatures that can be arbitrarily large.
(If you count the P/T of a token as created, then many cards like Shark Typhoon can create tokens as large as you wish: cast a huge X spell for X = 1 million and get a token with seven-digit stats.)

I had the same thought with it. It is technically a legal creature to play but based on what answer they gave I am guessing that meant the largest that could be cast.
I do watch most episodes of Game Knights pretty soon after they go up, but I rushed to this one due to the name Spice8Rack.
I was not disappointed!
Wow, I really thought Josh shot himself in the foot there with almost no cards in his library, then he breaks out a triple knockout out of nowhere, that was CRAZY! totally did not see that coming!
