Thanks for a detailed review. That setting with the Bios - well I wouldn't let Aver off the hook for that. I bet you are far from being alone with that problem. Oh, yes, and whilst I'm in Taiwan - great to hear a midlands accent! Cheers
Would have been nice to see a comparison with an elgato at the same price point. I think elgato are quite expensive, would be interesting to see your thoughts on whether the higher level brand is worth it or not. Corsair/Elgato tend to lead the way with software which I guess in this product is crtitical
I wish reviewers did more actual capture examples. I'd like to see the encoding/quality of the device. I purchased an HDMI capture device which seems grainy/low res, I'm looking for something crisper.
They really should have put a bit more work into the looks, seems very lightweight considering how easily it moved on the desk with an HDMI cable put into it.
I bought an avermedia product last year from amazon here. its been quite reliable

Just ordered one, thanks
No 4k VRR passthrough? That's a dealbreaker. Besides that I enjoyed your review. Keep up the good work.

How do you get your game to play full screen on the monitor?? Everything is hooked up and the light is blue and I see nit on my OBS/ect!
thank you!
Hey mat what is that cabinet you have behind you? noticed it in your last video, is it metal? I like the lighting showing through etc.
Nice review would have liked to have seen how long it took do make the video with the overlay example.
thats a pretty kick ass looking card for £160. Ill see if Amazon stock it and try it out for a few weeks first !

So does it bitstream the video or is it doing transcoding?
cant see them taking too many sales from elgato - how do they rate on build quality mat?
Love the cardboard packaging instead of oil based plastics.
Nice review mat, quite a lot of detail - is their software stable enough in general use? any crashes or problems with changing settings?
nicely done !
so will a ryzen 5 2600x work fine with this?
You should get Leo reviewing capture cards! I could imagine his face already 🤪
VRR support is pretty cool and passthrough.
I like Avermedia stuff.
Bravo Mat - what is your accent? its pretty cool.
How hot does it actually get?
Rec without PC ?
Shame VRR passthrough isnt supported at 4k.
Does OBS work well with Avermedia?
perfect
If you have a Ryzen, try disabling C-states... or just get a capture card that is not broken.
Instruction manuals have been getting thinner and brief for years now.
Not really something im interested in, was expecting to see Leo or Luke doing it, but this guy seems quite good at this stuff.
Was so hoping it was going to be HDMI 2.1. Really disappointed its HDMI 2.0.
Wait wait
Hi
GC551G2USB - that name really rolls off the tongue doesn’t it. Live Gamer Extreme 3 isnt that much better either.
He can't capture HDR content.
Good review mat - it looks pretty poorly made, probably some chinese knock off, but technically seems quite capable.
Seriously AMD Ryzen just isnt as good as Intel.

Does this let you play in 4k 60fps while recording 4k 30fps?
i am using this and it has almost 0 latency
