So the primary difference is that the blowback unit, aw/we tech have a larger blowback nozzle. But it it can handle co2 unlike tm which is primarily green gas. Most parts are compatible, from barrels to springs to it internal parts. The rear sight dove tail isn't compatible with aftermarket sights if you want to change it on the RED slide. Leading to a expensive purchase of gaurder/airsoft masterpiece/etc slide.
I usually just upgrade the barrel, hopup rubber to a maple leaf/cow/etc, and a different outer barrel. For recoil spring, I'd recommend a aip 120 hammer/recoil spring.
From many techs i have spoke to, they have said that its actually a good quality hi capa out there, everything you get is all metal with exception of the grips which polymer. No fear many standard 2011s real ones have or comes with polymer grips most of them do the higher end ones will come or ship with metal, mostly aluminum. And cheaper route than a TM, with TMs talkibg to a lot of buddies who does their own stuff they have said that TM is great but you have to do a lot of work equals a ton of money down for it, the main upgrade would be the metal slide because if yoy are running the plastic slide you'll need to use blue gas and not green definitely not red. Back to airsoft, I do own a hi capa (got i hate saying that word) which is an alright one the only thing I hate about it is the proprietary grips and some internal parts magazines on the other hand it can use many different wazoo hi capa magazines. Currently looking into the AW customs since it's more customizable and seems to be really good. Only benefit of the one I have is that its CNC metal and not a casting which AW custom uses for most of their hi capas
My experience with aw customs isn’t fun. I bought the emg sti tti 2011 and I’m disappointed with the quality control and the durability of the gun. When I inspected the gun the first time the slides paint wasn’t durable and under the slide, it wasn’t perfect where there’s missing material and wouldn’t effect performance but come one I payed $195+. And the hop up was made from cheap pot metal and broke from daily maintenance. The ambi safety on the right was flimsy. On tm the rear blowback screw that screws into the slide from the back would protect the frame from the hammer which cause immense wear. I was really sad that aw/we make good looking guns but please revise their internals. Overall tm is more durable and more customizable and aw/we can only have hop up and barrel customized and some lower. The blowback system they use just decreases the life on the hi capa. That’s my experience but I hope you have a better experience than me
Actually I’ve have a built Tm hi capa and in comparison it wasn’t like it was worth the Tm tax, I’ve even switch from ngrs to kwa and I’m have better results and not having to be stuck with Tm but this is my own experience. Cheers! 🤙
Where's the update sir on the upgrade of this unit.....thank u
Blake your voice is like warm butter to my ears.

I appreciate you I need to get back to this life got busy haha
The rear safety sticks out more for a more positive disengagement of the grip safety.
I understand that, under the grip safety there is a cover that sticks out about 1mm more then the rest of the grip

Update on part 2?

I had to stop this series, I would have loved to continue - but i had to sell the pistol.
Update on this?
Sadly no, I’m looking to get back in to video making.
Any updates on quality? Would you recommend this or a tm?

@@beazer1987 with aegs, yeah I'm with you there. I have a money pit of a hi capa so I might be slightly bias.
