I met TE in 2007 when I was 16 and had a brief word with him. He said if you practice 1 hour a day and keep at it, you can become the best guitar player in the world. He looked at my right hand and noticed I had grown my nails out. He said, "I can see you've grown your nails out, so I know you're fully committed". This man is a complete inspiration. I'm sorry that I'm not at his level, yet, but I'm still plugging away trying to be the best player I can be.

I don't believe there is a single TE song that would fail to lift me up into a warm, fuzzy, happy place. There is something truly magical in the music he plays.
Poetry in music. Tommy is not "just" a virtuoso. He is a poet and a genuinely warm human being whose heart shows in his performances.

It's hard to believe this video is 10 years old now....I haven't heard this song in forever. This was around the time I went and saw him play in Nashville too. I was just a kid back then...Anywho, I'm glad this video is still up. Tommy was and remains my number one most influential and inspirational guitarist. He's a musician's musician ya know?
I wonder,, why is it that many of us almost cry when we listen to the beautiful way Tommy Emmanuel plays a melody yet many - although they do enjoy listening - do not feel the absolute talent he shares. Listening to Tommy Emmanuel play a song we've all heard many times, absolutely absorbs every pore of my being. An amazing experience hearing him share his mastery of the guitar.

I don't have much experience about love but,it makes me feel some memory of love.I can imagine the woman Tommy saw she was exactly beautiful woman standing in light with long and elastic hair.I never know how he could express the emotion.
I'm happy, because I can hear such perfection and emotions, expressed by guitar playing.
TE is unique guitarist, one of my favorites.

What makes a great artist is when you can listen to the same piece over and over and not get bored. Tommy is one of the very few artists who can achieve this. Just love the guy.

if you're a musician, you know you can learn the chords, fingerpickin, etc., but no one can feel it or play it or make it ring like tommy.

Saw Tommy at the Birchmere in Virginia on June 12th...it was THE BEST show I've seen. He's a true master of the strings. Treat yourself to one of his shows...you will NOT be let down.

I was fortunate enough to have seen Tommy in concert a couple years ago. Somehow I lucked out with Front Row, Center tickets. The most amazing Guitar payer I've ever seen & heard. He makes it look so easy and he has so much fun.

The thing (well, one of the many things) about Tommy is that you don’t need to know a thing about his technical prowess to be moved by it. Many virtuoso players can only be appreciated by those who know something about the guitar and can only be appreciated on a technical level. Tommy’s music can deeply move anyone.

I'm sitting here listening to this song for the umpteenth time and it is so beautiful that it brings me to tears.Mr.Emmanuel is absolutely amazing. His acoustic playing is second to none. My fave is Angelina followed by this and Those Who Wait. I wish he'd come to somewhere near me so I could go to one of his concerts.
i saw him in Belfast last November and what an artist to see for your first concert...unbleivable stuff Tommy, his music always calms me down when im up tight and brings a smile to my face
I saw Tommy Emmanuel two days ago in Theatre "The Mythe" in Goes (Netherlands) together on stage with Theresa Andersson, a great talented musical artist.
She was really amazing with her incredible "One Women Show" on stage.

ten years ago he passed away, i mis him every day in my life.

I remember listening to this song, I was 9 at that time (25 now, time flies like crazy..) and my father was always playing guitar (and still do) so the only thing I was searching up on YT was guitar videos. Headphones on, chin on the desk and eyes closed, sometimes looking at the sun setting.. Good old times. I always comback from time to time just to listen and appreciate it over and over again. I will never be bored of this song.

You have to appreciate tommys playing style, people who don't play guitar and people who do. I mean the way he has made his thumb in his finger picking style COMPLETELY independent from the other fingers is astounding! Also with how he is able to handle the frets with his left hand is astounding at that... Tommy emmanuel is, in my opinion the best guitarist around.

Tommy Emmanuel is the greatest acoustic guitarplayer in the world! I was on his concert in two weeks ago in sweden! This is my favourite song and I love it!.. I was so happy to meet Tommy and shake his hand and he signed my record I bought! He was so friendly and nice.. not arrogant like other artist who thinks they are the best! With love and respect.. Can't stop listen to this song it's to good! Love it!
Saw and met him last night at his first ever concert in the Central Valley. Australia to Visalia! Totally entertaining, and an extremely nice guy. We especially loved his heartfelt acapella verion of I Saw The Light!!!

I saw him in concert 2 months ago and ended up front row center stage too ... 90 minutes before the show, they added some tables and I was able to trade my 9th out of 10 level ticket for the very best seat in the house. I was so close to the action that I could see wood dust falling off the guitar during the pick grinding part on Initiation. This has been the best show I've seen in my life. I can't imagine seeing a better concert than this one. Pure talent and incredible performance.
I saw him in Austin, Tx this past August and he was phenominal. He also invited out Larry Carlton and Monty Montgomery. I couldn't believe I was sitting 20 ft. from my favorite guitarists of all time!
I got to see Tommy live in Atlanta last month. It was the most amazing thing I've ever heard and one of the great musical highlights of my life!

Yes i knew the song "I still can't say goodbye" from Tommy's album
"Endless Road", that came out in 2004, two years after the dead of my Father.
Tommy recorded his album "Only" with the song "Since We Met" on this album,
on in 2000.The title of the song "Since We Met", symbolizes for me our lifetimes story of all the roads that we have traveled together, from my cradle to his grave. Thank you for your remembrance to this song, i just now listened to the song, and it made me silent.
