for the willer/raptor thing, the main opinion in the Korean community is that Willer and Execute seemed to have split calls and they wanted to unify the shotcalling around execute bc the whole team minus hena is so aggressive.
As for Leaper, he was a streamer that caught CvMax's eye when CvMax was playing in a streamer tournament a few years back. That tournament, 2 players caught CvMax's eyes, 1 was Leaper and the other was Pyosik. That's why he was a DRX trainee during the CvMax era but couldn't find a way to the first team and went back to streaming.

if ap junglers and engage supports continues to be meta in worlds patch. GEN-G will dominate completely

You know as much as GENG have choked at worlds they have equally been completely fucked over by the meta shifts were as teams like T1 have benefited massively. I’m not making excuses for GENG or taking anything away from T1 but I do genuinely think if the worlds patches hadn’t deleted Zeri from the game 2 years in a row GENG may have won in either 2022 or 2023

all teams are meta dependent. it's what makes the Golden road so hard. JDG was top team last year as the meta didn't shift much until worlds.
Geng are in same boat if the carry jungle goes away o can see the team struggling alot more if canyon can't gap his opponents.

Wolf on fire this episode. Some very good points about LCK CL and how players/Western teams see it.
On the point of no Normal Draft games in Korea, do you also not have Quickplay ? Draft is not there in many SEA servers also (due to population) but Quickplay allows you to pick your champion and role. No way others can steal it.

What wolf said about LCK challengers, promotion/relegation, and Griffin is an extremely important and nuanced take and LEC should fucking take notes.

The only reason me and my friends learned league at a later stage was because of covid burned out from CSGO and 1 friend played LoL.
That summer was an absolute slog but couldn't go do anything social so we just all learned league together.
Would never have gotten into LoL if I was not literally locked inside.

1:05:27 I think the point isn’t that it’s easier to carry in valorant but rather that your gameplay isn’t affected by someone trying to ruin the game. In league if someone runs it down the enemy gets 20 kills and you can’t 1v1 them whereas in valorant even if they have 100 kills your still on an equal playing field

Thank you, Wolf, for being so genuine in your criticism of the LCK-System although it can get you into trouble at Riot. I think, one can really feel how dedicated you are. And how sad you are to see that this competition on the highest level, which you have grown to love, gets very potentially watered down. I’m with you in being frustrated, that a product with so many very, very dedicated fans and so much potential as the LCK, isn’t allowed to be sustainable.

I don't usually agree with Wolf's in-game analysis, but damn is he spiting fire with his fearless draft and relegations take. I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS! The main reason there seems to be less young talent in the past couple of years is a direct result of relegations not being available. The thing about relegations is. It's a purely meritocratic system.

I appreciate Wolf's enthusiasm and love for the future of League but I don't know how its remotely possible to recapture that S1-S5 early years of League where it seemed like everyone was playing the game and everyone played the game with friends. The game is a mess right now, too many champions, too many things to learn, too many mechanics to understand, and it's never stable and it always changes forcing you to either be in the game fully or out of it completely.
Monte is 100% on this, if you played CS 1.6 and never seen Counter-Strike since then, CS2 wouldn't be that drastically different or difficult to understand. League through various patches and seasons has acted like entirely different games throughout its history. People who played thousands of hours of league in its early years wouldn't recognize this game today if they haven't played in a while. For new players why try to play a game like this when there are others with lower barriers to entry with a similar strategic feel to the game.

Who would have known... Riot not managing the toxicity well enough and favorising an excruciating climb environnement solely to get players to play more and more and weaken them to the more and more aggressive skin marketing, leading to even more frustration ended up killing the new player pipeline. Shock.
Some players in our community are legitimately ill now, and its not fun, go on and play soloQ on higher elos and you wont go 3 games without meeting a burnt out wreck of what was once a human being, if not 10 of them 💀
And the situation is lower elo is maggoted by these players as well because their accounts were so doomed they see their only salvation in restarting an account. And riot wont bat an eye because thats just "more players" and more skin sales.
And the worst part is, if and when league dies, these execs and managers will just move on to spread their rot on another community

PerfecT was the best kt player but so was Casting in the games he played. The reality is that Pyosik and BeryL are garbage, Bdd can't carry and Deft is playing a useless role. Their teamwork is nonexistant right now because BeryL isn't really a shotcaller, people just made that up to cope with a bum like him winning Worlds twice (spoiler: that's what happens when you have the goat mid-jungle + Zeka turning into prime Faker). kt is just a waiting room for Zinie, Hype, Way and HamBak being promoted next year. Let them go 18-0 in LCK CL and Zinie collect his second MVP, and wait for Griffin/Damwon 2.0 next year.

What I think riot needs to do is bring out a beginner mod for league.
5 champs per role that switch every day or every week.
And if some dum bass league veteran tries to get in there and overperforms for multiple games block them or promote them from the mod.
    It should be pure beginners.

  • @iamSol__
    @iamSol__ 5 месяцев назад +1

Here is how they fix it. No more new Champs. Only reworks. A global market for skins where they make a percentage off of each skin trade. As a result league will become eternal. Ez.

Not to be that guy (ok i'll be that guy) but there is no GOAT of right now. There is no GOAT of the last 13 and a half months. There is a GOAT. And he is the GOAT, and the strongest current player playing that position is not the GOAT unless he is in fact the GOAT with a GOAT's resume. Chovy is not the GOAT. You can call him the MVP, the best player in the league, you can call him a rodeo clown for all anyone cares. But the GOAT is something else, dear fucking god. This is not entirely about you but every freaking show that misuses the term.
