I'm only in exactly 73% of this game so far (mission 9-2 from main story and few side to do) and I LOVE IT! I love the simpler sprites, simpler controls, no voice acting. That's what FF is for me. Too bad there is no 'active pause' and controls are a bit janky, but this is a great game. Characters, story, addictive as hell gameplay loop. It really surprised me in very, very good way. :)
Dude incredible quality content. Can’t believe you don’t have more subs! Found you through the chocobo tales review, just thought of it randomly after like a decade. Big ups from Florida :).
To be honest, the Judge of wings looks rad. Like, it's art looks like FF12 art, while the rest of the art looks like Tactics A2 art. Bache looks weird.
I played that game on a emulator... with mouse and keyboard... it is the same... the hitbox of characters is a bit bigger than the characters so the point and click issue is the same... the secret: move your troops toward the healer instead of the healer toward the troops... for the rest... Kite and Filo are actualy pretty importants characters for the background story of ff12 original... probabily as important than that "dark grey Baagan" in the bazzar street (that guy was actualy the best buddy of Reks)... or that Seek lady in the Nalbina forteress (that Seek had a crush on Vaans brother)... Kite is supposed to be Vaans best buddy but in ff12, he could not follow Vaan because Vaan could not make the "treasure room raid" with a partener... Penelo was there in ff12 just because she have been seen taking the tissue from Baltier that led her beeing kidnapped... and for Filo... at the begining of revenant wings, she is actualy the former official commander of the Buccaneers batallion of Rabanaster (equivalents of scouts or cadets in Canada and US)... her title is almost as important as Bash (i suspect him, in revenant wings, to be the new secret king of Rabanaster as he is the quenn bodyguard, counseller and general of the army and mostly the only "free to mary" grown-up close friend of the queen)... the Buccaneers batallion is not just a bunch of random kids... it is a group made of all the orphans kids of the "empire war" in Rabanaster... in revenant wings, Kite join because he is a friend of Vaan, Filo join because of duty... monsters apear in the childs playground... she have the duty to do something... but Vaan took the lead and she just followed... (i guess the little 12y old red-hair girl could not resist the abs of the hero who looks like a gay Aladin ... or maby it is Aladin who look like a gay Vaan... not sure... i dont understand style)
I'm not an RTS guy either. I did like this game but I never felt confident I ever fully knew what I was doing. Definitely a frustrating game but a cool expansion on XII.
I remember owning this game, but I didn’t play it much. I can't remember why. It was probably the controls. I mean, I loved Warcraft 2, so I can't imagine it was the genre. The story actually sounds kinda interesting, though. I wonder what it would've been like if it were never tied to XII.
I'm starting to think these fantasies aren't so final

Oh, and the portraits - probably best in the series. White Mage of Sky Pirates is SOOO CUTE! :D

thank you bug armor!
this game is why I wanna get a DS again, I loved it and I never played the first FF12
This game desperately needs a remake on PC or remaster for God's sake
Okay so I saw your 12 review, clearly Revenant wings came knocking at the end.
