If you have 2 possible ideal pitches, I’ve had success soft selling both and switching it to hard sell when I find out which one it is, both preserving good contact and budgeting hours. Might be coincidental, but it’s been pretty consistent
How do you go from a soft sell to a hard sell? When I try that, the pitch that I need to use for hard sell is locked because I used it for hard sell and every other pitch will be all X's.
Once you upgrade your recruiting in coach abilities you can stack a hard sell on a soft sell. If you sway them you’ll have two ideal pitches to use and then it’s pretty much wraps for other schools
Seems like a lot hours to commit. 70 the first week, if successful 60 the next. I've haven't found the need to do this kind of over spend very often. Maybe year 7-8 if you've maxed everything and have stacked top 5 classes, you might as well aim for all the 5stars.

Offline Dynasty :- I have had 8 top 5 , four of those were #1 overall, recruiting classes. I rarely us sway. My singular focus is to get 5* scholarship asap...in first 3 weeks, the Pipeline, then Open....if they are not interested, I cut them loose. The best time, I've found, of recruiting is actually scouting players (if you have the hours) to look for those 4-5* or 3-4* players. I also found that the later the recruiting season goes on....3-4* gems pop up amazingly. Another thing I do is use EVERY single hour as I can on my gems.
Wait does scouting the player generate interest from the player? I just got the game and thought I had to check dms at the cheapest to tell a player I’m interested
@@tlit no offering the scholarship IS the communication "letter or email" or whatever that they would receive. DM'ing the player is just having the HC in direct text communication with the player like I once had with one of my prospect college coaches myself. Its sort of extra but not what is required. And no. Scouting doesn't help unless you really want to know their top stats or compare to another similar player on your board so you can choose between them and save points elsewhere.
Yes this is huge! Always, always check if they have a dealbreaker. Sometimes it’s information you already know, but sometimes it’s not and that makes the difference, especially when at a small school. You might be able to start hard selling big recruits much earlier.
I do to that. If his deal breaker isn’t a green check but I got two others that are green check I go use a hard sell on that until I found the dealbreaker is highlight and line up with the other two interests.
@@corywallen4137 if you're number 1 on a prospects list by a solid amount and his deal breaker triggered after you used points on him, don't take him off your list. 9/10 times he'll commit to you on signing day. This has happened when I had a four star gem FS with Sam Houston. I got to his number 1, no one else did anything and he locked me out, still signed with me lol. It's happened several times but he was the best one that did it
IMO sway is pointless and should never be used. It’s a massive waste and you’re better off 99% of the time soft selling or hard selling. Also if you can schedule as many ppl as possible to the same visit that way even if you lose it offsets the penalty for the loss of influence. CF25 recruiting isn’t hard and after a few hours ppl should figure out the system fairly quickly.
This is so wrong. You should use sway as early as possible in order to get 2 possible pitches. Then you can hard sell + soft sell for max influence. Also u can sway and soft sell early on in order to get bonus influence

first season at Southern Miss (2-star school) and got eight 4-star recruits from utilizing a double up method after using Sway ... If their motivations are similarly in line with another motivation trio then you can Sway a person into another high school attribute of yours that can then be used to Soft Sell (20), Hard Sell (40) and optionally DM a player for the remaining 5 if you have 65 points available to invest in any particular player position. I've outraced & outbid some of the biggest schools such as Ole Miss & Miss State for top tier talent even as just a little Sun Belt school. Its like Sending the House on steroids. And if you keep your list short enough in the early stages & only go for top talent, the method works absolute wonders despite lacking the hours of big schools.
I've been doing the exact opposite, almost never using visit. I value my hours that get used on other players too much. By week 4/5 when the 4/5 star key recruits are decided, I might use visit to win a close recruiting battle. Without knowing coach abilities, pipeline, and school grades there becomes too many variable to know which are the most important.
@@astrosfan5288 I don't think so since Hard Sell is 40 hours and the most hours I have seen available to put into a recruit is 75. That said, you can soft sell 2x so if you are trying to decide between 2 pitches you could do both. Idk how effective that is though.

Once you use a hard sell, you have to stick with it, because if you get rid of it, it's greyed out and you would then have to soft sell or sway to different motivations. IMO once you hit the right hard sell, you keep it on until they commit. Or if you're losing them and can't add more hours, just give up and go find their replacement by searching for someone with zero offers. Easy to get someone to fall in love with your school midway thru the year and you're their only scholarship.
Pat attention to the green arrows, count them. A lot of times early, you get more green arrows using 40 hours on all the activities rather than 50 for send the house. When you combine the hard and soft sells with those and get the most green arrows you get the biggest impact, this has helped me a ton. When a school with more prestige than is dramatically further ahead and offered a scholarship it's best to back away and use your points. Also when building a team scout for the first couple of weeks and then start pushing for gems that you're in the top 5 of, wasting time on a guy Alabama or another high prestige team is going for can ruin your class.
@@ihateskete2675 it all depends on total points you can spend per recruit. Pretty sure you can only do one pitch per but can combine with other regular pitches if you have enough points. I have the best luck combining soft sells with contact family.
I found the perfect formula for me , but I'm also a 4 star school now in franchise , you hard sale early on the guys you want but I got 75 points I also friends and family, each week you change depending on how close the next school is, so if you got a big lead on a 5 star you can dial it back on him n hard sale on someone you not 1st , as soon as you can do a visit or hard sale you do it if you only have two checks sometimes you can go out to his deal breaker , whatever his deal breaker is will be one of his green checks that will help you hard sale earlier, but yea each week you or two you need to be changing up yo approach depending on how far ahead or behind you are
You also gotta play with your lead. If you’re sitting at #4 and they about to hit top 8; maybe spend your hours on the guy about to hit top 5 when you’re at 6/7.
This! If I'm firmly in a players top 5, I'll put my hours into a recruit where I'm not and worry about the other guy when he drops to five. Same with top 3.
Is it still better to hard sell if your school has terrible grades in their 3 ideal categories? Obviously you should Sway if you have time but you don’t always have the time to do that.

How to use the sway option was probably the most helpful. I used this option in my first dynasty with Coastal Carolina on a 4 star gem (can’t remember position because I didn’t get him, most likely athlete.) I didn’t know you had to remove the sway pitch to use a hard or soft sell (still could afford since I could spend 75 points on a recruit), so the one I wanted to hard sell was locked. Thought the feature was useless. 🤣🤣🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Here is a tip i found. If you are behind on a recruit. Dont worry as he progresses into his top 5 or 3. You cna overtake other teams because the AI recruiting doesnt notice it and you can make a major jump when he enters his top 3. Sometimes they keep hours in for high end players like top 5 stars or 5 star gems but still a good idea not to give up too early
I'd disagree with this. Especially in the first year or two when you don't have the ability to spend 75hours on players. If you are even recruiting and the other schools pipelines +2 or more you should move on. Time is too precious to waste on a player that is likely not heading your way anyways.
I need to know when to back out in pursuing a player..also when dealing with 5 stars should i go all out? Or do i avg my hours out equally amongst the 35 recruits? I started with Memphis 400 hours n yr 2 bumped up to 600 hours
Spreading out your hours equally is a recipe for disaster if that means you aren't maxing out players. 4-5 stars and even some 3 stars need a lot of attention, especially when you're a smaller school with less hours. I recommend going all out for most 4 and 5 star.
Preseason you should pull in all the top level stars you can3/4/5 depending on your school that season and scout them to remove any best or highlight the gems. If you have hours left repeat the process with the next level down graded players. Once you get maxed out the preseason should allow you to fully scout about 40 players while offing 35 scholarships. Priority should be given to guys you have a higher pipeline score with. I believe it acts as a multiplier to the interest gained. If you are pipeline 2 and a pipeline 5 school is interested, if you don't have a huge lead (1/4 of the bar?), you are never going to get that player.
Idk about yall but I still hard sell on low grades you can still get the commit and also to save hours for other players I soft sell tell it’s the week of the recruits visit them I hard sell
Idk if you figured it out but you have to back out of that guy after you erase the soft sell. Then click on a random guy then go back to the original guy and hard sell the one that won't be blocked anymore
This doesn’t go over when you should use each recruiting action. Should I hard/soft sell if I have a yellow grade as one of the checked priorities? What’s the difference in sending the house vs soft sell or hard sell when they don’t match up with 3 greens?
@@cbaiia If selling is an option, you should be selling. 2green and a yellow is fine, unless you are competing with elite programs with a +2adv in pipeline.
Bro I can’t get more than 6 people to commit to my team. I’ve recuited all season long sending the house, setting up a visit. I’ll be the #1 school with a big lead over the 2nd school and then all of a sudden boom they commit to a different school.
Go after guys with no offers and go after guys in your pipeline, they’re much easier to recruit, if you dont have many recruits by the transfer portal, throw all the 3 stars with no offers an offer as well as send the house and you should be able to consistently be able to get 15+ players in. Also schedule visits as soon as you can.
Just for clarity the Bordeaux comment is false. They do actually have have legit influence. However as far as the actual reason that doing soft sell, family and DM have less impact then just hard sell is because the impact isn’t guaranteed. You can do do all 3 and the only option that works that week or for that recruit may be the DM. The arrows are the max influence that action can have, but doesn’t guarantee that’s the influence they will have
I rarely hard send i usually send the house and schedule visits. It usually move me to number 1 on their board but ill usually end up losing recruit after being number 1 all season. So i assuming i need to hardsell?? To get them to commit after im number 1 ??? Someone help me please

Its counts to your hours that you can spend on that player week to week. Basically you cant send the house and hard sell at the same time unless you have maxed out your recruiting tree
I would also suggest that you soft sell at the same time you try to sway. Soft sell even if you know their ideal pitch and sway to a better pitch if you can. If you are successful you can follow up the next week with that Hard sell.
You say that “the next week {after a soft sell} that you would have went in and hard sold.” But when I undo a pitch of any kind, that pitch is locked out and I can’t use it again. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?
I have had this happen, I think it is one of the bugs in recruiting right now. Sometimes the hours are incorrect. I have had success backing out of the recruiting page and going back in and that seems to fix most issues including being able to do the pitch.
I just finished my first year and in the first week of preseason heading into my 2nd year it only lets me send scholarships to recruits (the add action button is greyed out) is this normal ?
I enjoy playing the game but I must ask this honest question.... how is going through all the recruiting b.s. fun and enjoyable? Seems like a lot of work to me for not much reward.
It could be my OCD tendencies but I thoroughly enjoy looking for better prospects to play with the next year. I recently played a Dynasty with Baylor where I found a 5 star QB that had crazy speed, deep throw acc, and throw power. It allowed me to explore more of the playbook. For defense I like finding the fastest MLB I can user with. After playing an entire season you figure out what your team's deficiencies are and I enjoy trying to fix them. For me, it feels even better when you start with a lower tier program and somehow manage to pull a superstar talent.
What if I’m using a 1 star school and two of my grades are good (in the Green, B+, A-) and one grade is had (D-), do I still hard sell? Or will it hurt me due to the one bad grade ?
There is little to no value in chasing a dead dog....aka a far better team/establishment with more hours. Cut yer loss on those...they gone! Free up said hours to hit the gems...it is especially rewarding....and.... if you get Gems which need to be offered...then through the house etc on them....Unless they are being head-hunted also.
Nah I realized it was my team prestige being too low anything under 3 stars is 700 hrs max. My team hit 4 star prestige after winning the natty and we instantly got 1200 hrs that offseason. I actually started out with a trash school (Temple) so it was difficult to recruit who I wanted vs who I could get but I made it work with only 400-700 hrs for 3 yrs.. My first year only had 400 hrs 😂
I would agree, unless you have a really bad score in a category or two (D/F). I would hard sell 2 green and a yellow all day. So long as you aren't trying to get a 4 star player to a 1 star program immediately you should be ok.

**SECRET TIP I FOUND** Lets say you want to hard sell a recruit that is close to committing and you only have two of their three motivations (so missing one for the perfect pitch) if you hit LB to go back to the players "OVERVIEW" it will show your their "DealBreaker" which is 50% of the time that third motivation thats greyed out. yeah it's really messing up my chances with a lot of guys. Happens to 1 or 2 guys every cycle and it's always the ultra competitive ones.

Real ones know this is gold. I've tested this out multiple times and it is by far the best combination you can use if you are desperate.

The visits are hard because they only do games later in the season and they rarely make it that far in my experience.

I love the recruiting because it’s very realistic outside of the visit glitch and only thing it needs is to flip the recruit

I'd disagree with this. Especially in the first year or two when you don't have the ability to spend 75hours on players. If you are even recruiting and the other schools pipelines +2 or more you should move on. Time is too precious to waste on a player that is likely not heading your way anyways.

I’ve noticed some players have more influence from Soft Sell than Hard Sell.
I need to know when to back out in pursuing a player..also when dealing with 5 stars should i go all out? Or do i avg my hours out equally amongst the 35 recruits? I started with Memphis 400 hours n yr 2 bumped up to 600 hours
Spreading out your hours equally is a recipe for disaster if that means you aren't maxing out players. 4-5 stars and even some 3 stars need a lot of attention, especially when you're a smaller school with less hours. I recommend going all out for most 4 and 5 star.
Preseason you should pull in all the top level stars you can3/4/5 depending on your school that season and scout them to remove any best or highlight the gems. If you have hours left repeat the process with the next level down graded players. Once you get maxed out the preseason should allow you to fully scout about 40 players while offing 35 scholarships. Priority should be given to guys you have a higher pipeline score with. I believe it acts as a multiplier to the interest gained. If you are pipeline 2 and a pipeline 5 school is interested, if you don't have a huge lead (1/4 of the bar?), you are never going to get that player.
So is lvl 50 cap for your coach? Bc im lvl 50 with 51 being my next lvl but only getting the xp and its not moving to 51

Idk if you figured it out but you have to back out of that guy after you erase the soft sell. Then click on a random guy then go back to the original guy and hard sell the one that won't be blocked anymore
How is the CPU able to schedule visits on week 15 and 16? That’s after the regular season is over. We are not allowed to schedule during those weeks
This doesn’t go over when you should use each recruiting action. Should I hard/soft sell if I have a yellow grade as one of the checked priorities? What’s the difference in sending the house vs soft sell or hard sell when they don’t match up with 3 greens?

So in your last example, had you scheduled a visit earlier than the competing college, do you think he would’ve come to your school?
Bro I can’t get more than 6 people to commit to my team. I’ve recuited all season long sending the house, setting up a visit. I’ll be the #1 school with a big lead over the 2nd school and then all of a sudden boom they commit to a different school.
Go after guys with no offers and go after guys in your pipeline, they’re much easier to recruit, if you dont have many recruits by the transfer portal, throw all the 3 stars with no offers an offer as well as send the house and you should be able to consistently be able to get 15+ players in. Also schedule visits as soon as you can.
Just for clarity the Bordeaux comment is false. They do actually have have legit influence. However as far as the actual reason that doing soft sell, family and DM have less impact then just hard sell is because the impact isn’t guaranteed. You can do do all 3 and the only option that works that week or for that recruit may be the DM. The arrows are the max influence that action can have, but doesn’t guarantee that’s the influence they will have
They need to fix the recruit glitches
They fixed ultimate team patches and added more players. Really shows you how they released an unfinished product

I rarely hard send i usually send the house and schedule visits. It usually move me to number 1 on their board but ill usually end up losing recruit after being number 1 all season. So i assuming i need to hardsell?? To get them to commit after im number 1 ??? Someone help me please

Its counts to your hours that you can spend on that player week to week. Basically you cant send the house and hard sell at the same time unless you have maxed out your recruiting tree

yes, unless you gain a big lead then you can use the hours on another player. If you fall behind with a lower pipeline, I'd also suggest moving on.

Why would you do anything other than send the house if it is more hours?
Theres not really much that matters into the top 5 use those extra hours to stay 1st easier than coming back from behind
I would also suggest that you soft sell at the same time you try to sway. Soft sell even if you know their ideal pitch and sway to a better pitch if you can. If you are successful you can follow up the next week with that Hard sell.
You say that “the next week {after a soft sell} that you would have went in and hard sold.” But when I undo a pitch of any kind, that pitch is locked out and I can’t use it again. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?
I have had this happen, I think it is one of the bugs in recruiting right now. Sometimes the hours are incorrect. I have had success backing out of the recruiting page and going back in and that seems to fix most issues including being able to do the pitch.
I just finished my first year and in the first week of preseason heading into my 2nd year it only lets me send scholarships to recruits (the add action button is greyed out) is this normal ?

I enjoy playing the game but I must ask this honest question.... how is going through all the recruiting b.s. fun and enjoyable? Seems like a lot of work to me for not much reward.
It could be my OCD tendencies but I thoroughly enjoy looking for better prospects to play with the next year. I recently played a Dynasty with Baylor where I found a 5 star QB that had crazy speed, deep throw acc, and throw power. It allowed me to explore more of the playbook. For defense I like finding the fastest MLB I can user with. After playing an entire season you figure out what your team's deficiencies are and I enjoy trying to fix them. For me, it feels even better when you start with a lower tier program and somehow manage to pull a superstar talent.

I think the player is on a visit with another school that week? Lock isn't usually there the first week visits are available.

yes, and spends less hours! Send the house generates interest to keep you in top5/8, once you get there you have to sell your program.
There is little to no value in chasing a dead dog....aka a far better team/establishment with more hours. Cut yer loss on those...they gone! Free up said hours to hit the gems...it is especially rewarding....and.... if you get Gems which need to be offered...then through the house etc on them....Unless they are being head-hunted also.

Maxed out coaches after a season or 2/3 depending on your sliders and coach XP gains.
Nah I realized it was my team prestige being too low anything under 3 stars is 700 hrs max. My team hit 4 star prestige after winning the natty and we instantly got 1200 hrs that offseason. I actually started out with a trash school (Temple) so it was difficult to recruit who I wanted vs who I could get but I made it work with only 400-700 hrs for 3 yrs.. My first year only had 400 hrs 😂

I would agree, unless you have a really bad score in a category or two (D/F). I would hard sell 2 green and a yellow all day. So long as you aren't trying to get a 4 star player to a 1 star program immediately you should be ok.

**SECRET TIP I FOUND** Lets say you want to hard sell a recruit that is close to committing and you only have two of their three motivations (so missing one for the perfect pitch) if you hit LB to go back to the players "OVERVIEW" it will show your their "DealBreaker" which is 50% of the time that third motivation thats greyed out.
