thanks! It's a great race and they have a mandatory kit list of things you need to take including some nutrition that'll you'll want as a back up or inbetween aid stations and 1 litre of water minimum.
Superb and so education to watch - and such fond memories being up in Snowdonai last year...' There's not many 51 year olds I know' well at the moment I'm 53 coming out of injury and enrolled into 2024 Trail Ultra ... (not the 1000km) just the 35 Miler may be next year - well done and I take my hat off to any one who can take a 100 km Mountain TRAIL RUN - its a BEAST!!!! Ooh you did the UTMB tooo OMG... does this qualify you to run with the UTMB Ultra Trail Mount Blonc ? Might have to change my enrollment.... Just watch the last 10 minutes and it reminds me of finishing XTERRA Trail Marathon and the bar was on the third flight up in my hotel in Anglesey - on lift.... what a beast to get room service 😅😂🤣
thanks @2spoons I believe this helps towards entering the UTMB by collecting running stones. We got 3 stones for this distance. It's also a qualifier for Western States lottery if you complete the 100km or 100m race.
Great video mate, could see me on there few times up to the 4th climb where I safely had to retire, went into it with 2 bad achilles injuries, bad next year, well done mate 👏🏻👏🏻💪🏻
Hi Jason, I just had a watch as Dad shared with me. Looks tough but also a beautiful route. Tempted to train for my second 100k I was telling my partner I need a challenge to aim for.
I am all good thankyou. I just am slowly working on my house and enjoying Dorset life. How are things with you and your family? I am seriously thinking of signing up for next year so I have something to train and aim for. I can sympathise about how you felt toward the end as I remember on the last few k of the 100k I did my feet were so sensitive and it felt like I was barefoot and could feel everything with each step. I also had similar difficulties as your friend, but going up the stairs once I finished 😂
@Mark Turner that's great 👍 we're all good thank you. Do it 😅 you have a year to prepare then! I did a 100k charity walk last year and this is on another level with the amount of climbing and decent so make sure you train some elevation if you have a big hill nearby. I literally went up and down my local hill for about 6 hours when training and only covered around 1500m of elevation. This has almost 7000m! The 50km race would be tough too.
@Big Sky Adventure Running nice 👌 same for me.. I had about 50 people go past me on the last section where my quads were done and I struggled to carry any pace downhill!
Well done on your completion. Thanks for sharing
Very well done, thanks for sharing your experince 😅😅😅
legend. vlog and 100km trail run.
Well done. Great video. Im going to do it next year hopefully. What did you bring with you(food, water etc)

Great Video and great race Jason, happy to have share the journey with you in my silent and grimacing roles 😂🙌🏻💯
Great finish at the end
Was great to share it with my 3 year old 😀

Great video! Just what I’ve been looking for for my recon 😊
That looks so such a beautiful route. I am impressed you made it and still had energy for a commentary.
Thanks Steve, we certainly got lucky with the weather for the great views!
Amazing race and great footage my friend. This race is on my list for sure. Cheers from Brasil.

Hope you're well Mark. Yeah I definitely recommend it.. it takes some time and dedication, but well worth it at the end!

Hi there...is the course pretty easy to follow
Hey, yes I find most UTMB events easy to navigate as they usually have little flags or way markers to follow.
Great video
Cheers mate 👍
Great effort , great video , I shared it to show some of my road running mates the fun I had
Thanks mate 👍 my first video of this kind!
@@997081 nice enjoyed it, I only finished about an hour ahead of you . Heck of a race . My first continuous 100k
@Big Sky Adventure Running nice 👌 same for me.. I had about 50 people go past me on the last section where my quads were done and I struggled to carry any pace downhill!
@@997081 I was laughing watching the video. That long last slow climb then another f%#king hill before the track. Enough to make you weep 😆
❤
That ending got a sub LOL
Haha you should of seen him when he got to the spinning doors at the hotel.. they were moving too fast for him to make it through 🤣
What camera do you use?
Used a GoPro 10.. first time using it but it seems pretty good 👍
Fantastic! I have this event booked for next year. Can’t wait
