While it's not necessarily related to the honorable mentions (though TimeSplitters 2 and Path of Radiance would have been dope), I do have a couple of things I'd be interested in seeing change for future seasons of Madness. 1) Actually requiring everyone on the panel to play the games that are being compared. It doesn't have to be the whole game - maybe just an hour or so - but the idea of avoiding the dreaded "I haven't played this game" is very promising. We don't need another FF9 scenario. 2) Somewhat related, I'd like to see the preconceived notions idea dropped. Previous seasons were really bad with panelists coming in and already making up their minds regardless of the arguments presented - this season was much better about that in general (except for Shane with Paper Mario IMO). Since Madness is centered on the debating, the end decision should be about that, not just catering to some in-built preference by default. 3) Not getting derailed on some tangential topic. The Zelda vs Tetra dispute on Wind Waker vs TTYD was the worst with this, since it basically contributed nothing to the actual decision. Seeing stuff like that get pruned out would be nice, just to keep things a bit more focused. 4) Lastly, Jeff. Namely, don't change that. Jeff was awesome this season and improved a lot as it went on. I would LOVE to see him back - he's easily one of my favorite guests you've had, probably tied with Jirard for best boy. No matter what, Madness is great. For the Twilight Princess being considered as a Wii Game: THANK-YOU!!!!!!! I made a few years ago about how Twilight Princess was the launch Legend of Zelda game for the Wii and other commenters practically chewed me out over it because it was also on the GameCube. I never had a GameCube or N64 growing up (parents didn't see the need to buy them since I was happy with our SNES, Atari, GBC/GBA, & Computer) so my first 3D Zelda experience was on the Wii with Twilight Princess and I always considered it as a Wii Game because it was launched when the Wii came out.
@Spaceman Alph I have a Wii U (got it for a good price at work) and we have BotW with the downloads on it because we couldn't afford the Switch when it came out. A few months later, the local second hand game store had both it and the game for a reduced price that we bought them. It was marketed as a Switch launch game than the WiiU so I consider it a Switch game more. But it is nice that now my husband can play his game on one system and I can play mine on the other.
Breath of the Wild is a Wii U game though- it was developed for the Wii U and also released on the Wii U (as well as the Switch). In any event, there is no difference between the versions outside of performance, so that makes it a game for the lesser system in my eyes. Yes, I consider Twilight Princess to be a Gamecube game over Wii though it could be argued that since Nintendo released it first on Wii (albeit deliberately holding back the Gamecube version for Wii sales, not because it wasn't finished), that makes it a Wii game.
@Spaceman Alph I'm aware of games starting development on one platform and releasing for a different platform, but in this case it did release on on the original platform. It was also advertised as a Wii U game before Switch development was added. But if you go strictly by sales numbers, then yes- Switch version > Wii U version, as well as Twilight Princess Wii > GCN. We can all have our opinions and agree to disagree though.
I grew up with the GameCube, and have about 56 or so games for it. Some honorable mentions I found myself and friends going back to a lot (in no order) were the Super Monkey Ball games, Mario Party 4 and 5, WarioWare Inc., the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, Burnout 2: Point of Impact, SSX Tricky, Simpson’s Hit & Run, NBA Street, Freekstyle, Need For Speed Carbon, StarFox Assault, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Crazy Taxi, Madden 2005, and SpongeBob: Battle For Bikini Bottom.
They probably thought it was, boring story wise but liked most of it. I enjoyed the story personally but since its such an underground game I don't even know if they played it.
its 2020 and im rewatching episodes of madness because it was one of my favorite series on youtube when it was happening and I really miss it and really really want it to return sometime.
There were a few games i would've loved to have seen any of these over kirby or sonic adventure 2: Viewtiful Joe Killer7 Fire Emblem: PoR Tales of Symphonia Fzero GX Eternal darkness And REmake Those would've been cool to have seen (and i know some of these were mentioned in the vid)
Path of Radiance is a classic. I'm not mad at anyone for not having played it, but if you can find a way that's reasonable definitely put it on your list.
@@danny2256 They're not good. At all. The games aren't consistent. They aren't fair at all. It's stupid perfectionism and constant luck dependency. Might as well play slot machines.
I disagree that they're luck dependent based on the multiple experiences I have with PoR on hard mode and my playthroughs of Genealogy. Genealogy specifically lets you save any turn, removing the risk of bad luck. It's also fairly forgiving in other ways. The only luck based things in PoR are two boss fights, and even then you can give yourself very high odds of success. It's really only punishing on harder difficulties. Saying they aren't good is your opinion, and saying they're great is mine. I understand you not liking them, but there's no need to get angry about it when someone believes they're good.

Can’t wait for the new content, keep up the good work guys! ☺️ Maybe it is an interestinng idea that each of the guests or speakers pick one game they like as well, by preference a lesser populair one
When are you guys going to do SNES Madness? A Link To The Past, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Earthbound, Kirby Superstar, Donkey Kong Country 1 & 2, Final Fantasy IV & VI, Super Mario Kart, Street Fighter 2... the list goes on and on. You might even finally get Peebs' Harvest Moon game on there. I mean, probably not, but maybe!
Thank you for the Eternal Darkness love. That was my absolute favorite Gamecube game and still something I get together with friends to play through once in a while. Some others that I loved: Prince of Persia - Sands of Time, MGS Twin Snakes (goofy af, but a really fun alternate take on the first game), and Star Wars Rogue Leader. Good ending to a decent season, guys. Thanks!
Probably the Gamecube games I've played the MOST were Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, StarFox Adventures and Assault Which I Loved and possibly my favorites. I also think I may have played Pokemon Channel WAYYY To much, there really wasn't much to do but, Watching tv and hanging with Pikachu, Had so much fun doing that for some reason. Also liked the Splinter Cells games.
I love the fire emblem series and always wanted to play Path of Radiance on a Gamecube, but good luck finding a copy for less than $90 (usually over $100, 90 is the lowest I've seen it lowest winning price in the past few years), I have played Radiant Dawn because I won it on ebay for somewhere around $30. Why can't nintendo re-release PoR or virtual console it? They have wii games on virtual console, so gamecubes are definitely possible. I'd rather givie Nintendo money for the game at a reasonable price than some person that no longer wants their copy and selling it for double the original. That is how supply and demand works, but the supply issue could so easily be solved by Nintendo.
You guys did great this season! The PS1 season was pretty bad but you guys all did the Gamecube justice and also made this very entertaining and informative. Good work fellow nerds.
This was the best season yet, and best lineup of hosts! It really seemed like everyone had strong knowledge and opinions on all the games (which I didn't feel was the case in the PlayStation season). Great stuff.
Maybe for next season you guys have a set list of things u need to hit up for each video such as Gameplay Art style Online/multiplayer components Number of players Genre of game it is Etcetc Cuz its easy to look back n say "yea we kinda let it get away from us n we didn't mention blank for game X. Maybe just having a bullet list will help to get all the points made b4 editingthis stuff takes place
More hands on it would be nice and a veto for games like Sonic Adventure 2 no matter how high it places. Are they now going to have to exclude it from the Dreamcast episode if they do one? Because it isn't fair for it to take a slot on both.
I also was surprised to not see Ultimate Spiderman as well as Donkey Kong Jungle Beat on the bracket! It's a pretty amazing game to me and had a unique style of playing it. Especially when you watch speedruns of it or you get really good at the timing and such, it really highlights the beauty of the game's graphics
Maybe you guys should do a bracket introduction/veto video at the beginning of these? Maybe a blind veto. If there's unanimous agreement you can boot a game out or force it to qualify against a new game. Idk, just spitballing.
I'd implement ANYTHING that would exclude Sonic Adventure 2 over a dozen other good GAMECUBE titles. Are they now going to exclude it from the Dreamcast Madness if they do one?
Eternal Darkness and both Baiten Kaitos games are still some of my favorite games of all time after all this time! Also Fire Emblem was pretty nice but I prefer the handhelds ones.
Romeos - yeah i’m surprised it got a sequel now that I realise how little it sold... also I didn’t like the changes to the battle system they made for the second one.. the poker style combos were so cool in the first one!!
Was happy to hear that Pokemon Colosseum and XD made it to top 16, can't wait to hear your guys thoughts. It's definitely a very niche title nowadays, a cult following but not really much else going for it. A unique concept that hasn't seen light again. Get Genius Sonority off the puzzle games and lets get back to another Shadow Pokemon adventure.
Thank you for bringing up Metroid Prime, Furst. That game absolutely deserved a better contest. (I personally go back and forth on whether the first MP or whether MP: Echoes is the better game, though.)
@@Xetelian I suppose, but I only discovered PSO on the gamecube.... And it was the only game o. The gamecube that officially supported online play! Which I paid for and played! It was amazing!
REmake, Eternal Darkness, F-Zero GX, Tiger Woods 2003, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Mario Party 4, Star Wars: Rogue Leader and WWE: Day of Reckoning 2 should have all made the list ahead of Sonic Adventure 2. Man, now I think about it, the GameCube has an INCREDIBLE library of games; as strong as any console that has ever existed.
My little brother got the game cube and I got the PS2 and Xbox and I never got around to playing any GC games until much later on the Wii and ate through his stack of GC games like crazy because it was just such a good bunch of games.
What if you guys did a spin off show where you broke down an episode into a series of 1v1 debates and called it Total Madness? For example, if there's 4 guests plus Lee as host, there could be 6 combinations of 1v1 guest debates where each person votes for the game they like after each debate, with each person, and its worth a point each time. Most points after all debates wins. The host could still settle tie-breakers.
The best new wave race game would be wave race X pilot wings, I've said this for a while. Get your first jetski, win races, buy a yacht and bouys, more jetskiis, then get a hydrojet, rings, and ramps, wake boarding, surfing, an innespace craft, an actual dolphin. It all takes place around a beautiful polynesian island where different bouys, rings, and ramps open race courses
TBH I think Mario Sunshine should have gotten more love. It has some lower lows, but even now with the switch and all PC games, I still find myself wanting to play Sunshine instead, just because it's fun and I love how the movement feels in that game combined with the colors and music.
Thank you for clearing up that you consider Twilight Princess a Wii game, I was a little bit confused as to why it wasn't mentioned. However, I played the Game Cube version, and based on what I see other people mention, the Game Cube version is better. I have heard that the motion controls for the Wii Version feel very tacked on, and I have also heard a lot of people complain about the camera controls in that game. I can't wait until Wii Madness is a thing so I can hear your thoughts on what is probably my favorite Legend of Zelda Game.
No one even mentioned the Mario Golf, which is the best MARIO SPORTS GAME OF ALL TIME. Also, I'm happy they at least acknowledged Fire Emblem and Tales Of Symphonia 💕
Aside from Sonic not being on the bracket because it's a port, I'd say the games on here all deserved their spots. The GameCube just had an incredible lineup. We could honestly make an entire new bracket of GameCube games, exempting each of the games from this one, and still have a solid list.
I do see the time problem, and sadly the time problem will become just more impactfull (if the case is continuing with consoles), the later and later titles up until now have just so more depth then the earlier ones, that one could use a half day on just one tiitle from 2015. I do however find it very entertaining and faciniting what the focuses on each game is and what one game gave to the gaming world, while the other maybe was just a good game. it will become more and more madness like in the future and i do wish you luck on this!
I think any of the top 5 other options you guys mentioned would have been great in the bracket, as well as tales of symphonia. None of them would have likely won, but I think especially tales of symphonia would have been good to talk about
There are *SO* many good games for the GameCube! Sunshine, Melee, Wind Waker, Path of Radiance, Metroid Prime 1&2, Double Dash, F-Zero GX, and the absolute best of them all: Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix
It would be a cool idea to do 8 games by vote and then one game chosen by each of the panelists that didn't make the top 8 to fill out the roster; so everybody kind of has a horse in the race while still trying to fairly compare the games in the list. Because the most entertaining parts of madness for many people has been watching Austin lobby for Animal Crossing and Arthur, or Jirard and FFIX.
I like the idea of the madness crew getting one pick to add to the bracket, knocking off either the lowest voted fan pick or a unanimously agreed pick. It would be a way to talk about great games that perhaps didn't get enough sales to win the vote, but could be better than popular contenders if you sit down and play them.
I love this series, but I hope for better seeding. I say the poll winner gets the 1 seed and the one that squeeks in at number 12 is seeded number 12. It still allows for upsets and doesn't have great games like Metroid prime lose both matches while Luigi's Mansion, animal crossing, and Mario sunshine win matches.
I bought Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance specifically because of Marth and Roy in Melee. I didn't even know anything about the games. But man did I love it. I've fully played through it at least twice. Maybe more. But, damn is it good. I didn't know it was so expensive. I really think Viewtiful Joe 1 or 2 should've been on the list. F-Zero GX was also great, but for some reason, it's so hard to get anyone to play it with me.
More people should play Chibi Robo and Eternal Darkness!
(Also, how did we forget to mention Rouge Leader? =O)

It was originally planned on GameCube but got delayed and the Gamecube version was released a month later so it's both in a way.
Went back and watched this, still good content. I’m hoping for more!
F-Zero GX is literally the greatest arcade racing game of all time. I still play Time Attack to this day.
That game changed my whole view on racing games. I would literally shake from excitement when I got a chance to play it
Facts my favorite game on the GameCube
Path of Radiance is my favorite game of all time, I love it soo much.
I think this is my fav part of madness. I love when they just sit and talk about video games, I would love a podcast of this
I grew up with the GameCube, and have about 56 or so games for it.
I really enjoyed the conversations and arguments this season, given some of the more out there game choices
Was glad to hear you guys talk about Tales of Symphoni a little bit, still my favorite game to this day.
Sonic Adventure 2 was legitimately one of my favorite games on the Gamecube.
WAS* obviously not IS because that game sucks. Its not Sonic 06 bad but its not as good as any of these other games.
Sonic 06 is better than SA2B
@@Xetelian no it doesn't I really recommend people that think that watch Ruby of blue's video
It really isn't a bad game it's just not for everyone
Mines too until recent years
Damn... You guys got me back into my gamecube collection. Now im enjoying these adventures once again. Thank you for that
Custom Robo and Starfox Assault needed to be in the bracket
YEAH, Custom Robo!!!
Hell yeah Custom Robo was great
They probably thought it was, boring story wise but liked most of it. I enjoyed the story personally but since its such an underground game I don't even know if they played it.
I wanna thank madness for teaching me how to pronounce Jared's last name
Well, it taught you incorrectly. You can choose either Kabenbauer, or Nabenbauer, but not both.
its 2020 and im rewatching episodes of madness because it was one of my favorite series on youtube when it was happening and I really miss it and really really want it to return sometime.
There were a few games i would've loved to have seen any of these over kirby or sonic adventure 2:
Viewtiful Joe
Killer7
Fire Emblem: PoR
Tales of Symphonia
Fzero GX
Eternal darkness
And REmake
Those would've been cool to have seen (and i know some of these were mentioned in the vid)
Why can't i stop watching this series.
This is madness, I say!
Take a drink every time Space Hamster says "like" at around the 3:35 mark.
I wish Timesplitters 2 was on this list, many hours of my childhood playing that game.
I agree, but it was a multi-plat
And Future Perfect. I still play those 2 games like crazy to this date.
Path of Radiance is a classic. I'm not mad at anyone for not having played it, but if you can find a way that's reasonable definitely put it on your list.
It's not a classic. Genealogy of the Holly war is better than that garbage, and Genealogy sucks more ass than big rigs.
@@neintimesthegeek1337 Genealogy is also great. Why are you so mad about games you don't personally enjoy?
@@neintimesthegeek1337 Genealogy is shit, Thracia is even shittier. Sacred Stones shit on them both even Binding Blade with Roy being shitty until endgame
This is my favorite season by far, thank you for improving the show after the ps1 season
"Fixing" the show? Lol
I didn't mean the show was broken , I meant that the third season just was awful , if you saw it you would know what I mean
@@10millionsubscriberswithno75 I thought the PS1 season was great, what do you mean?
FF9 vs ape escape
But in all seriousness caddy was interrupting during the first half of the season, and after that jirard was the only person who provided actual arguments not just saying " I disagree " . But if you like the season it's fine by me , it's none of my business.
@@10millionsubscriberswithno75 I see what you're saying about Caddy but I think that's more of his personality. He's very passionate about the PS1 and it shows. If he didn't interrupt as much, would there have been better discussion? Maybe, but I don't think the season suffered because of it
Can’t wait for the new content, keep up the good work guys! ☺️
Maybe it is an interestinng idea that each of the guests or speakers pick one game they like as well, by preference a lesser populair one
I would love to see everyone do a Zelda Madness. figure out what everyone thinks is the best Zelda
If I ever get on there I will beat the ever loving crud on link to the past. So many better zelda games.
Majora’s mask would probably win
That's a very good idea
Is this bracket before or after BotW? Cause that's the best one no contest
I know this is a not very popular game but Custom Robo was one of my favorite games.
Thank you for finally mentioning Tales of Symphonia ;o;
Christopher Steitz I got Poe for 70$ on eBay. Not much better, but better
Got mine for 75 euros
well if you can you can emulate it , the game is really good only bad thing are the animations (for me it might be the febs fe game and my favorite)
Path of Radiance is still my favorite FE. If you can get it for a reasonable price, you'll enjoy it.
If you have a newer android phone or a competent windows pc, there are ways of playing Path of Radiance.
Thank you for mentioning Phantasy Star Online, Jared. It was appreciated.
Man i miss this series. Who else is here in 2024 hoping they randomly drop a new season?
Are you guys still gonna do the LAN Mario Kart DD still I think that would be pretty cool to see
You guys did great this season! The PS1 season was pretty bad but you guys all did the Gamecube justice and also made this very entertaining and informative. Good work fellow nerds.
Not GC exclusives, but TimeSplitters 2 and 3 were the most-played games on my Cube.
You guys need Scott the Woz here with all this Chibi-Robo chat going on.
I hope this comes back someday
This was the best season yet, and best lineup of hosts! It really seemed like everyone had strong knowledge and opinions on all the games (which I didn't feel was the case in the PlayStation season). Great stuff.
Maybe for next season you guys have a set list of things u need to hit up for each video such as
Gameplay
Art style
Online/multiplayer components
Number of players
Genre of game it is
Etcetc
Cuz its easy to look back n say "yea we kinda let it get away from us n we didn't mention blank for game X.
Seeing the Tellius love from Forrest and the comments does my heart good.
Fire emblem was better than half the games in the bracket.
No Soul Calibur
No matter how you sing it, it's still a niche title and the games arent easy to pick up and play for everyone.
You cannot be more incorrect right now.
@NormalBoots, could you please release the total poll results so we could see all of that juicy data?! Thanks!
I loved baten kaitos. I'm always so sad that practically no one has heard of it
Romeos - yeah i’m surprised it got a sequel now that I realise how little it sold... also I didn’t like the changes to the battle system they made for the second one.. the poker style combos were so cool in the first one!!
@@YoshMaster yeah, the second one wasnt as good. Definitely likes the first better. And let's be real, mizuti was a beast. Lol
What happened to Austin at the end there? He checks his phone, seems to get nervous trying to interject and then runs out. Hope everything is okay
Battalion Wars. Now that is an underrated game series. Not many have heard of it.
Pokemon Madness will be something to behold.
Hello!! I love your channel! I cam because Bill Wilkins sent me 😂
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance easy win, my wife and I play it every year
Was happy to hear that Pokemon Colosseum and XD made it to top 16, can't wait to hear your guys thoughts.
Jeff: “Sellout!”
Austin: “Where’s my check if I am selling out?” 🤣, I gotta use that joke at some point
Phantasy Star Online was so good.... I wish it made it....
I'd rather they save the Dreamcast games for a Dreamcast episode. SA2 should not have been on the GC series.
@@Xetelian I suppose, but I only discovered PSO on the gamecube.... And it was the only game o. The gamecube that officially supported online play! Which I paid for and played! It was amazing!
Thank you! Someone mentioned Tales of Symphonia!
Super Mario baseball is my favorite GameCube game.
LET"S PLAY A BASEBALL GAME!!!!
18:11
That face where ppl are trying convey sumthing but u just wanna punch them.
Its Jared signature
17:25 I love how PBG is the one to call out the casuals. Love this guy.
Please do a Gamecube madness where you all choose the games you want so we get a little more variety :D
I get so happy when anyone mentions baten kaitos
TBH I think Mario Sunshine should have gotten more love. It has some lower lows, but even now with the switch and all PC games, I still find myself wanting to play Sunshine instead, just because it's fun and I love how the movement feels in that game combined with the colors and music.
Haha! That’s the same Austin image in the thumbnail for Ytp Tennis PBG Wanders Gamelon
Wait, what about Donkey Konga? Donkey Kong Junglebeat? No Bongos mention? Those were fun.
I can't wait until Wii Madness is a thing so I can hear your thoughts on what is probably my favorite Legend of Zelda Game.
this was a good idea so many games that didn't make it on the bracket but at least they got their due here
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles anyone?
That game is not that good honestly.
@@Andrei3253 While it may not be the greatest, it is certainly better than Sonic Adventure 2.
@Solyndros I can't wait either!
nope. didn't have four GBA's
Cant wait for the remake!
No one even mentioned the Mario Golf, which is the best MARIO SPORTS GAME OF ALL TIME.
Also, I'm happy they at least acknowledged Fire Emblem and Tales Of Symphonia 💕
Maybe they are saving it for Gameboy Color Madness, which is clearly the best Mario Golf game
Confirmed PBG uses those Hank Hill butt inserts lol
ROUGE SQUADRON
I adored Fire Emblem Path of Radiance. Real happy to see it included
Aside from Sonic not being on the bracket because it's a port, I'd say the games on here all deserved their spots. The GameCube just had an incredible lineup. We could honestly make an entire new bracket of GameCube games, exempting each of the games from this one, and still have a solid list.
The biggest tragically are fire emblem and tails of symphonia
Chris Metz truuuue
Maybe Custom Robos...I know it might not be top tier but I think it was worth mentioning...
Sunshine, Melee, Wind Waker, Path of Radiance, Metroid Prime 1&2, Double Dash, F-Zero GX, and the absolute best of them all:
Dance Dance Revolution: Mario Mix
Soul calibur 2 not talked about but it's in the video's front picture lol.
Literally 2 sentences spoken about Soul Calibur 2.
It ain't fair.
SC 2 still holds up as a fighting game and everyone bought the GameCube version just to play as Link, myself included.
I'm loving that Persona 5 bgm!
