Thanks so much for this video Ron. My next drone purchase will probly be my last so I want it to be the best for me. I will be 80 the 9th of December and I just passed the retest for my 107 certificate. SoI am good for another two years.
Congratulations on your 107 retest. And if the Air 3S was my last drone purchase, I think I would be pretty happy with that choice. Thanks for watching John.
It’s about time a comparison video is made. I can’t tell major differences between the two. Thank for doing this. Based all things equal shooting auto I am glad I didn’t invest in the newer model. Thus to me one pays for the new features.
Hi Ron, nice video showing the comparison between the Air 2s and Air 3s. Thank you for sharing. IMO both the videos and photos look very similar. Interesting that both showed the partial moon in the sky. The Air 2s has an SDK that allows it to be used for mapping applications. A first time drone pilot would be well served buying the Air 2s that costs much less than the Air 3s and is smaller for traveling.
Both these drones have good cameras, you can't go wrong with either one. I probably won't recommend buying a drone as old as the Air 2S (buying as new), but if you already own it, you might consider holding on to it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for your support.
The initial take off and flight to the end of the pier highlighted one thing for me right away: the color profile on the Air 2S is richer and more vibrant. The ocean was a deeper blue than with the Air 3S. Detail wise, they were both fairly even, but if I had to pick one over the other in that category I'm leaning towards the Air 2S. As for the pictures, once again, I'm not seeing much difference, but I'm giving the Air 3S the advantage with the 50MP photos. And I'm watching this on a 30" PC monitor, just for reference. Good side by side, Ron.
Hi Ron, thank you for taking the time to do these comparisons. I also own the Air2s, and recently purchased the Air3s. I've been doing some of my own comparisons as well. I agree with your comments that if you are upgrading from Air2s to the Air3s for camera quality, probably not worth it. However, in terms of new features, AI assisted RTH, longer battery life, night flying, then the Air3s makes more sense. One of the things that always annoyed me about the Air2s, is that Master Shots, Quick Shots are not supported in 5.4K/30fps. Never understood DJIs reasoning. Similarly, using the camera zoom only in video mode and not for pictures. Thank you.
Great comparison, Ron. The Air 2S video seems clearer, but maybe because the A3S horizon was below 2/3 vis a vis the A2S; the 50 Mpxl photos are great.
Nice comparison video Ron. I have both and enjoy both. Although you won’t see the difference on you tube i do believe the 3s is a good upgrade all around. A slightly better camera and all around flight experience.
I like where you live…. no people to deal with when you’re flying. Perfect place e to fly the Neo being how annoying it can be with the high pitch noise from the props. lol
I think the air 2s photos and videos look better. Better performance with the air 3 s. The tracking isn't bad as far as tracking air 2 s tho had mine chase me around the yard with lots of trees and hanging moss and low hanging electrical lines and it only crashed one time when I was showing off fir this chick
Really Can't Tell The Difference between the two. I have the Air 2s. And waiting on the The Mavic 4 pro. Hopefully to be released before 2025. But not looking like it. The Mavic 4 pro will be the last Drone i buy in my Life. So needless to say super excited for it to be released

Great video and comparison Ron
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked it.
@ you’re welcome
Thanks, Ron, for this informative video. It may help some of us who had the same question. Waving from The Bahamas. 🇧🇸
Glad I could help, and thanks for watching!
I’m glad you did this Ron. Great comparison and in your closing comments you were on point.
Nice edit/work.
I'm glad you enjoyed the comparison, a lot of people had requested this video. Thanks for stopping by Bob.
@ I was one of the requesters thanks Ron
I have the Air2s and i'm thinking to buy the Air3s for second drone 👌
Thank you for the test 🙏
Like 👍 👍 👍

Glad it helped you make the right decision, thanks for watching.
Nice job, Ron!
Nicely done Ron.
Thank you kindly

Great Video Ron, perfect points.
Great comparison Ron! The Air 2S is still a legit drone, but the features and tele camera on the Air 3S put it over the top.
I totally agree with you. I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for watching Marcus.
Nice comparison video mate, g’day from Australia
Perfect!! Like your videos!!!

Thanks for your comments and feedback Brian. The Air 2s is still a strong contender in the drone space.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it! I never really used the 5.4k video mode that much because it was capped at 30fps.
Great comparison Ron. The air 3s is the clear winner, but the air 2s also still holds some weight.
Thanks for your feedback, the comments are split pretty even as to which drone camera is preferred.
Nice Ron, maybe another comparison of imagery could be done at twilight
I'll add it to my list, thanks for the suggestion. But I can already tell you the Air 3s will look better in most low-light situations.
Great comparison, Ron. The Air 2S video seems clearer, but maybe because the A3S horizon was below 2/3 vis a vis the A2S; the 50 Mpxl photos are great.

That's a great looking beach. Where is that if you don't mind me asking? Great job on the video.
Thanks for sharing. 👍👍👍
Margate City, NJ. Thanks for watching my friend.

Thanks for watching and for your feedback, I agree the 3s is an overall upgrade and worth it.

I got the beach all to myself in the off season. No one to complain about noisy drones. Thanks for watching.
I love my air 2s

I don’t see any stutter …..👍🏽
This is a stutter free zone.
I like the video of the Air 2S MUCH better! Clearer and better color. In fact my Mavic 2 Pro shoots much better video quality.
