    Very informative. I like your style and speed. You make it look so simple.. I have been The Sewing Machine Doctor for over 50 years and before the seam-Serger was available it was very difficult with a single needle lock stitch machine to produce a simple garment. You should be proud of your talent..

    I love Footie pajamas!
    Reasons why I love Footie Pajamas:
    1. They have sock-like feet attached to them
    2. They’re all in one piece making it a onesie
    3. They keep you warm at night with blanket-like fabric
    4. With the feet part, you don’t have to wear socks or slippers because the pajamas cover all of the feet like socks
    5. They can have a hood too
    6. They come in different colors or designs (which means the pajamas are the same color shirt/jacket and pants since they’re all in one piece)
    7. They look so cute (especially on children)
    8. You will look so cute sleeping in them even under the blankets
    9. The pajamas are full length with long sleeves and pant legs (in which the pant legs are long so that the feet are sewn onto the bottom)
    10. The feet have (usually white) soles to prevent slipping
    11. Perfect for colder/cooler weather
    12. They have pockets to put their stuff like iPhones or your own hands
    13. If you need to use the bathroom however, you just take the top off and put them to your feet (you’ll might have a butt flap because you’ll stay warm in the bathroom without removing the sleeper)
    14. Back then, a tailor in London sewn socks onto pajamas because of termites (white ants)
    15. And best of all, they’re easy to put on and take off!

    Two things: use fabric footing for the feet or dot on fabric paint on the feet for grips.
    Also, for ease and simplicity, sew the bottom of the feet on BEFORE attaching them.
    Other than that, cute tutorial!☺️🌈🩷🎀💕 I loved the dance at the end🩰🪩🕺🏾💃🏾

    I would use puffy fabric paint on the soles to prevent slipping.

  • @jimsutton4456
    @jimsutton4456 6 лет назад

    April:
    I am a novice sew'er who like to make a birthday present for my wife. I'd like to make a warm [double layer] onesie pajama using two layers of material - polar fleece outside and sherpa fleece inside.
    I have NOT seen a tutorial that addresses this full suit onesie type effortbefore, THANKS SO MUCH.. How would you suggest I form the full onesie with the two layers of material?
    Thinking through your video, perhaps I would essentially make two onesie's - one of each material and then fit them inside each other -- with the final assembly being one of outside seems or perhaps the long zipper opening --- and the adding hood and arm/leg contrasts? Or would you approach the two layer onesie another way?
    Seems like a great video tutorial topic for you !! Thanks for any suggestions you can offer me.

    thank you so much for this tutorial, I search the internet for ages for a onesie video but couldnt find one, I ended up making onesies the same way you did, one question though, why do you make the legs different sizes?

    • @coolirpa
      @coolirpa  11 лет назад

      because the back side legs have a longer crotch (room for your butt) :)
