The Blue/Copper version looks the most gorgeous! But I wish it would have been not photochromic, so either cat. 3 or cat. 4. But I want to protect my eyes against strong sunlights during mid days and also in the evening so are photochromic lenses fine?
They are good looking shades! 😎👌. I use photochromic all the time in very bright situations (in the alpine in snow ❄️⛰) and find them safe and effective. Hope that helps!
@@Engearment Nice, thanks for the reply. How fast do they react when start wearing them in house and then going in full sunlight outside? The shades are indeed damn looking good! Much better and gorgeous than from overrated brands!
@@Engearment Damn, I'm more inclined to get the Blue/Copper mirror, this color combination is not something you see every day. Do you know it's been out of production or just out of stock temporarily?
Well, I do not spend any time on glaciers. 😄 But these are doing good for our conditions here in CO. I think category 4 is more in line with what you are looking for :) 😎
Hi, just a small update. So I got the Smith Embark Blue/Copper and it's a damn fine one! The visuals are very great too and I'm surprised despites it's in cat.1-2 levels, my eyes doesn't get hurt in sunny weather and it gets better over time. But the visuals are really very effing great! I might even get the Gardenia to complete my sunglasses collection lol. Smith does a very good job on the Embarks.
@@Engearment Yeah, I'm loving the Smiths too! I see the Copper/Blue Mirror has been sold out in EU too, I can't blame because it's a damn cool looking one and blue/copper is a very great color combination. I ordered the Black Matte/Gold to complete my collection and it should be delivered next week!
These or the Barra's? These, i must say, are pretty insane, especially the ChromaPop PhotoMirror Copper Blue mirror, but those are nigh-on impossible to find!!
Ah yes, one last question. Whats'the length in widt in cm? They usually only measures the temples, not the actual length in widt. This is important to me and as you've mentioned, they're pretty big which might be an issue.
These look really great, do you know if one of the lens options is a photochromic one?
They do have a photochromic that is out of stock
@@davidwave7650 Thanks, David!
There is Photochromic Copper Blue Mirror. I bet it sold out fast! I will check to see if more are anticipated.
@@Engearment Thanks, Sean!
Julbo Chameleon lens rocks
Cheers
It says it's a Cat 1-4. I'm looking for a Cat 4, so I'm wondering if it'll actually give me a Cat 4 rating when out on the glacier
Hello, I am not 100% sure as I used the 15% VLT in this test. Let us know if you do wind up getting them and how they work for the glacier travel!

@@browsing8866 They take about 20 seconds to fully transition. But I would say less than that time to be functional. :)

@@browsing8866 I am not sure on that. Sorry! And I wish it was a faster transition as well. Someday... :)
VLT of 15% on glaciers? Hope the sun doesn’t come out lol

Anyone using these on the water fishing, at the beach? That's where I'd be spending my time and I'm wondering how they'd do.
I used them at the lake and I would imagine they would be good for fishing. We do tenkara and these provide great coverage.
Great review

Hello! I have not used that brand before, so hard to say. I did use these for the entire splitboard season though. Would love to try those lenses too!

First review video of these glasses
Nice! Glad we get to be the first. 😎👌
