Easy Crochet Baby Blanket - White Waves

- If you are looking for a fast and easy crochet baby blanket, you will love this free pattern. It has an interesting texture and is created using only basic crochet stitches. Note, you would use an easy one-row repeat for the whole blanket after completing a foundation row.
You would crochet it with easy-to-find Bernat Baby Sport Yarn (in white).

Lovely pattern. Was able to follow without spoken instructions, however, I am an intermediate crocheter. Not sure this would work for beginners. Think you need a different music choice, it distracted me. Although, I just turned down the volume. Thank you. Look forward to more tutorials:)
Can you please update written pattern? Row 1 is to single crochet 1st stitch and double crochet in 2nd stitch, chain 1 skip one 4DC in next 4. Which to me means 4DC in each chain but in your video you're putting 1DC in each of the next 4 chains.

I too was wondering about the border. It says to make the same stitch on 3 sides but being a beginner it would be helpful to see where to place the stitches on the sides. Also still wondering why the tutorial of words stops after about 5 minutes into the video.
I can’t figure out the border. I see the verbiage “basically do the stitch on the 3 sides” but the sides don’t have the same stitch. 😢. I want to give it as a gift but it doesn’t look finished. Can you please post a video doing the edges!!!

I apologize if I missed border instructions. However, stating that the border is basically the same stitch repeated around the 3 sides is not sufficient! I love the pattern but am at a standstill. Not sure how to create the stitch in the side and bottom rows, and I am not a beginner. Would really appreciate more detailed instruction. At this point, my blanket looks incomplete, which is disappointing after the time put into making it. PLEASE provide more written or a video for border instructions, Thank you
Please get rid of the creepy music! It's more helpful if you talk through the pattern. Every level of crocheters can listen as they work and follow along vs having to read the screen AND watch for the stitches.
This is actually helpful for the hearing impaired.
I was trying to make it for a wider audience, no matter what language they speak.
@@craftmart I think you did a good job, however I do think you can verbalize what you are doing as well as keep the pattern on the screen. The music to me is a distraction to the point that don’t see what you are doing. I do enjoy seeing the patterns on the screen. I also want to thank you for putting out this video.

After watching this video my question is you only sc into last dc post then 3 sc then 3dc into the space? I am asking this because I am dyslexic and my pattern is really off.. I love the pattern really want to learn it.

Do you repeat row 4 only to get the desired length. Or is it row 3 then 4 repeat? Beautiful blanket.

Keep repeating row 3 until 30 inches or however long you desire
Your row 1 is straight and not slanted. It does not match with the rest of the pattern. May I make a suggestion? If you begin row 1 the same way as the tulip stitch is (it's similar, a flat version of this pattern) then, your row 1 is slanted and will match with the rest of this stitch pattern much better. I've recently done a baby blanket in this same stitch pattern. Here's how I did it. Make a chain with multiple of 7. Row 1: 2 dc into the 4th ch, [skip 3 ch, sc into the next ch, ch 3, 3 dc into same ch of sc just made], repeat [ to ] through the row, end with: skip 3 ch, sc into the final ch. Then, continue on with row 2 and so on in the same way you've been doing. Try it, you may like it better. Oh, and another thing I did differently. For a straight edge, I did 3 dc (3-ch counted as 1 dc) rather than 2 dc at the beginning of each row.
