As Tainos i believe we are all instinctually drawn to the ocean. We lived for thousands of years sailing and surviving in its waters. its the last 500 years that has ripped us away from her

Christopher Columbus was a terrorist, he was the devil who tortured and killed innocent Native Americans and took away their lands. Christianity is a terrorist.

My Father is half Puerto Rican half Italian My Mother is all Italian. My Grandfather said our people lived in the mountains of Puerto Rico that's why we're tall and thin.
I don't look like either or , I've been told by a girl before that I'm not Puerto Rican because I don't speak Spanish.
That hurt. Who is she to judge me. My Great Grandmother was a full blooded Arawak and Great Grandfather was a Spaniard.
I still feel I need to learn more about my Ancestors no matter what people say.❤

Taino is not just from Puerto Rico. They didn’t originally speak Spanish (Moorish Latin) either.
Ask them what we’re the original “Spaniards”? There should be 3-4 ethic groups-study those and find your path.

Puerto Rican is somewhat a nationality and definitely a cultural ethnicity. It's not a matter of race or spoken language, it is what you culturally identify with based on heritage.
The people of Puerto Rico, just like many other Latin American countries are made up of many different races and cultural ethnicities. Puerto Rico itself was inhabited by natives and colonised mainly by Spaniards, but also by people from other European countries and even middle eastern and Asian countries.
Just like Spaniards from the iberian peninsula, also came people from the canary islands, Portugal, France and Italy. There were also people from Morocco, Lebanon and Syria. And finally there were also emigrants from the different parts of China.
So technically you can be from anywhere you want to be.....you are human and a citizen of this world.
P.S. The only thing you won't be able to be is a Martian..... besides they're green coloured!....like a green banana. (Plátano Verde).

As a young boy my grandparents would tell me they were Taino or hill people my grandfather would make trips to the ocean often I have always been drawn to it in a very spiritual way everyone loves the beach but my link to it seemed to be different almost trance like still is I often spend great amounts of time in our wilderness areas always solo. as I was taught I started each trail-day drawing a circle in the dirt placing a pebble in the center and covering with soil as I was told when younger just to show acknowledgment and thanks to the forest. Not sure of the true meanings of this act but was told it was the proper Taino belief.

🙏 Indigenous American Arawak resemble not certain significance (no etymology) over the hypothesis that "Might be the aboriginals Ethopian migrants once entered into the Indian subcontinent ; thereby made an escape to the north eastern route all the way through kamchatka to bering and hence the Alaskan!
