The 2025 update is disappointing. When will the modeling improvements and character rigging enhancements be implemented? I’m a fan of C4D, but Blender’s features seem better. It’s unfortunate.
Perfect timing, my Maxon One license expires in 2 days. If they hadn't have raised their subscription prices, I would have renewed my Maxon One but I'll be getting just the C4D tier this time.
Can we get some proper tutorials on scene nodes? It's so complicated that even professionals aren't making tutorials on it... Honestly if 2026 doesn't have full scene node release with proper documentation and a push from your side to make some educational content around it, it will be extremely disappointing... I was expecting it from this release to be honest. I keep seeing the insane stuff people make with geometry nodes and Houdini nodes and I'm starting to feel very limited.

Not enough for the money. Blender + Houdini is too good. I would never stop using Houdini but I would definitely consider moving to Maxon One with a fair Indie plan. A lot of Houdini users already pay for Red Shift and I would love my destructive workflow to be in C4D.
Keep going, you're losing your customer base one update at a time, with your outrageous subscription prices and updates that bring little to no real improvement. Each new version promises more but delivers nothing but cosmetic changes, bugs, and features no one asked for. You’re charging premium prices for what feels like minimal effort, well done!
While I can't argue with your rant about their price policies, your rant isn't particularly constructive. I mean, what exactly should Maxon update to please your demands?
@@mistertamura6190 I'm not the OP but the snapping and pivot point manipulation tools for starters... Competition has had better tools for that since over 15 years ago. Some changes to those would be a huge quality of life improvement imo
I was hoping for that, maybe in a 2025.x incremental update. At least an SPH modifier for particles, it would probably be slow but it would be something.
Oh yeah, after decades(!!!) they updated particles and pyro (wow), so just wait for like a few years and they will born "some liquid sim" while the other guys jump on to Houdini (spoiler: it's not so hard and scary)
Maxon, enough with too much focus on Mograph, its time to focus on Modeling & Character tools like as seen in Maya and Blender. C4D is serious lacking in these areas. Any character tutorial I see done with C4D is always laughable. I'd never seen any such characters being modeled as seen in Maya, Blender, Iclone etc. Come on guys. If you want us to stick to C4D then you gotta LISTEN to you customer base. This release does not seem like any major Update to noise about.
Maxon is a disgrace. Holding good companies like Redshift and Red Giant hostage. Not resolving bugs that's been there for years, for instance Trapcode Particular is barely usable. LIMITING the number of seat switches per day AND increasing the subscription plan price. This is utter GREED. Back in the day I recommended C4D to everyone getting into the 3D business, now I tell everyone to stay the heck away. Even Adobe's policy pales in comparison to what Maxon's leadership is up to.
Another boring C4D release video. Fun fact, it starts with examples of former Insydium employee amazing Mario Tran Phuc. Unfortunately the XParticles showreel from 5 years ago has more diverse and complicated examples than this video.
Every 3D software has its own purpose. For example, Cinema 4D (C4D) is great for motion design and MoGraph animations, while Blender and Maya are better suited for modeling. When it comes to character design, ZBrush is ideal. For more procedural operations and simulations, Houdini is the go-to. Personally, I switched from Blender to C4D, and I love it. Blender is excellent for classic animation and modeling, but when it comes to simulations and procedural animation, it falls short. if it will implement more stuff like xparticles maxon i would love it
It's more particles, pyro, colour and mograph stuff. I can think of a lot of things that would have been unprecedented or unparalleled to see in C4D, and particles swirling in pretty patterns don't quite fit the definition IMO.
Maxon is playing with us. I don't see anything important in this Cinema 4d release. Let's look at an example from Houdini 20.0 to Houdini 20.5 brought tons of new and powerful things, in less than 1 year.
Hello everyone! It seems you still haven't fixed the collider issue in Pyro. Here's the gist: an object with the Collider tag still lets through Pyro's fire and smoke. The situation gets worse when the Collider object moves. Pyros smoke and fire simply don't see it and fly right through it. Neither Turbulence FD, or X-Particles, and FumeFX have this problem.
