My dog has a great life on a acreage in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. He has access to AC and heat as the seasons require and fresh water and home cooked food and expensive dog supplements, and he always has at least one human home with him. He gets to go to petsmart and pick out toys 1-2 times a year, and is being trained for emotional support service for my pre-teen son. He has as good of a life as any dog could have… but he is so attached to us, that he definitely prefers to be with us, no matter what. We could lose everything and llive out of our tent and have to forage, hunt and trap food, and he would still be happier and healthier with us than anyone else. He is a part of our family. Family shouldn’t be separated just because of hard times or because you live a life with less creature comforts than is socially acceptable. Bless this man. Glad he got his good boy back. Hopefully the “activist” learns not to separate family just because he would prefer all animals have cushy lives. They need food, water, and love. And they usually are better in the elements than we are, so if a human is fine living outside, his dog is probably perfectly safe being right next to him.

Every homeless person I've ever met with animals treat their animals better than themselves. They absolutely love their animals. The animals get fed first and we have vets who treat their animals for free. I rescue cats and dogs and they come from homes where people have everything but just don't want them anymore and just dump them and worse some were cruelly treated first. That pup looks in great health and his human friend loves him.

When I was homeless, my dog was homeless with me. She ate half of everything I ate. We slept in the car together. She protected me. I got my footing and off the streets. She was with me the whole way. I always took good care of her. Even giving her all my food at times. She passed away from cancer but went on a life journey with me that I couldn't have pulled through without her. If anyone tried to take her, she would aggressively let them know they stood no chance of taking her away from me. I still cry about her today. 😢
Statistically, dogs belonging to homeless citizens are very well cared for in terms of food. Most homeless put their pets over themselves in terms of care.
A homeless man in my town was always seen with a bunch of dogs, and the dogs always seemed well fed. The man had lost his mind after a tragedy, but when the dogs started to come to him, he took as good care of them as he could.
These people “claim” that they are helping animals from these people, but if they truly want to help the animal, then help the animals humans, by helping them you help the animal. You choose to separate them from their loved ones claiming it’s for the animals greater good, but it’s for the humans and animals worse because of how they care for each other. Unless there is visible or obvious signs of animal abuse of any sort, whether physical or other means, do not take the animal away from their family. Help the family so they can help their pets so they all have a better life. Humans like this man only see one side of things when there are four, the side he sees is that he is helping this innocent puppy. Another side is that of the bystanders where they see a man forcefully taking a homeless man’s dog. The third side is that of the homeless man or any victim from men like him where their closest and possibly only friend is taken away unprovoked by men that claim to help the animal. The fourth and final perspective is that of the animal, or in this case the dog, where some stranger comes to him and takes him away from who they see as a loving father and this man as a monster who wants to take him away from his family. The man says he does it to help the animals but only sees it from one perspective, HIS perspective, but claims that he sees it from the animal’s perspective. Men like him are the reason many people have lost their closest partner for the animals “greater good” when it is with the people that raised them. If you have read this far, I hope that you understand what this all means, and that if you choose to help an animal with a man, choose to help them by supporting them together, and not take one away from the other. May you all have find great joy in your life, and help improve the life of others.

Statistically, dogs belonging to homeless citizens are very well cared for in terms of food. Most homeless put their pets over themselves in terms of care.

A homeless man in my town was always seen with a bunch of dogs, and the dogs always seemed well fed.

Wht abt that bit**? Huh?
