For some, she may still be seen as the love interest of "King Kong" but the movie "Tootsie" is what comes to my mind. It will always be one of my favorites and helped introduce drag to a mainstream audience. The same can be said for Susan Sarandon with "Rocky Horror Picture Show". The fact that Bruce Dern had a tie from the very beginning with "Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte" and that not only he, but Jessica, Susan and Faye Dunaway of "Mommie Dearest" all are tied together with the fact that they acted with Jack "Little Shop of Horrors" Nicholson...Well, I suppose that's something the Joker can truly smile about!
I always appreciate the effort actors go to to recreate iconic scenes. Susan is right, it’s a technical skill. Jessica is a master at it. Look at her work in Grey Gardens. It’s uncanny how she emulates Big Edie.
Jessica and Susan are icons of their own era playing some of the most iconic women in Hollywood. Class act , love them both

I was young but I did see whatever happened to Baby Jane but now I realize both Betty Davis and Joan Crawford were great actresses but in Hollywood they aged out. Jessica and Susan were amazing.
I love these actresses. Both are so talented and beautiful.
I can't believe how good this was. so much detail. it's mind boggling to think of how much work went into this but the end result is incredibly good entertainment. best thing I've seen since Helen Mirrrem won the Oscar.

Kirk Barkley She sure was!!!!! Till this date, I'm still doubting whether she deserved the Oscar for "Frances" more than Meryl Streep for "Sophie's Choice" back in 1982 - both world class performances, though!!!!!

Katherine zeta jones was "Magical" in this also, was not even aware of who she actualy was until a number of episodes, when i finaly caught a touch of her normal accent, then i realized it was her, she was utterly captivating in every scene
it seems like they digitally added in Susan's face in the shot where Jane is looking into the mirror and puts her hands over her face. The hands look like Bette Davis' hands, older and veinier than Susan's hands.

Wonderful actresses, but in this movie on this day, Jessica Lange out-acted Susan Sarandon. Her interpretation and performance was superlative
