Alien 1979 - FULL Movie Summary

- The 1979 film "Alien" is arguably the best science fiction movie ever made and I've rewatched it countless times over the years.
Music: Atlantis by Audionautix • Atlantis - Audionautix
The movie begins the commercial space tug, Nostromo, loaded with mineral ores and bound for Earth. Nostromos’s crew is in cryo-stasis and consists of seven members: Captain Dallas, Executive Officer Kane, Warrant Officer Ellen Ripley, Navigator Lambert, Science Officer Ash, and engineers Parker and Brett. The ship, with its myriad compartments and advanced computer technology, looks eerily empty, mirroring the vast emptiness of space surrounding it.
Then the silence is interrupted by the ship's central computer, named "Mother", detects an unknown transmission, activating emergency protocols and awakening the crew from cryosleep. As power surges throughout the Nostromo, it seems as if the vessel itself awakens, with corridors gradually lighting up. - Кино
I'm starting to feel this channel is even better than the actual films. You've given them so much more depth. Well done and thank you.
Well said
The comments added nothing to this masterpiece, it was just some paraphrase on a story a child could understand by himself. I will never pay one pence for this, but twenty pounds easy for the artwork !
@@xaviercrepin2930 Well, that's very narcissistic of you. The commentary is the best part in my opinion.
How would there be commentary without the more creatively intensive part, the original art? I get that you love philosophy but wow, to call someone else naive when you’re praising a shadow of the colossus. I love that amount of irony
Best part of my day: a new Kroft video 🤘🏽
How old were you in 1979?
"Hello guys, Croft is here"
Automatically pulls me back to better times😊
When were the better times?
Everything is perfect in it: the script, the directing, the cut, the lightning, the scenaries, the mapping, the design, the creature, the soundtrack balance between silence and noise, everything !
I was 2ys old when this move came out. I was first introduced to Alien when I was 7 years old. My sister at the master mind behind me watching this Master piece. I thank God I got to this it because now I'm at 2024 and it looks the same has if I was still at 7yrs old. Love it.... Go Alen,Aliens,
Alen Romulus.
When i hear the Background music im happy :)
I watched it in theater at 14years old in 1979. It was for me revelation really. I m a huge fan since 48years !! It s my favorite movie, I watched it a million time. I was not frightening, I was fascinated. 👍🏻 I love your channel thanks from Paris France, sorry for my English
I love the background music.
This without doubt is the best sci-fi movie of all time. I also had watched this movie countless times. If fact I’d say this is probably the best movie ever. I can’t wait for the instalment. I can only hope it’s going to be in the cinemas.
Hell yeah! The Alien/Prometheus franchise is the best and even though alot of people don't like the Predator franchise tied into it I still love those movies as well
what instalment?
Where were you in 1979? I saw this this movie in the cinema when it came out in 1979. I was 16.
I was very scared because I knew nothing about what was going to happen.
Only Alien and Aliens, not the other "movies".@@generaleerelativity9524

I’m from Australia, I also seen Alien in the cinema when it first came out. I went with a friend who said he couldn’t sleep after watching this movie. I guess he was disturbed by the scene where the alien bursts out of John hurt’s stomach.
Amazing how well the special effects hold up
Yes. It has aged well.
the best sci-fi film ever made. yes, even better than 2001
2001 is a little over rated, excellent movie for it's time though. I like 2010 better.
Well mate... about the movie call: True. One of the best.
"Kroft" is doing video breakdowns now!?!? Kew-elll!! Been listening to all your Alien Universe facts n theories for years now and always look downward to the next!(the next Kroft video, and Alien movie), lol. Best of luck with the breakdowns bro! And in life in general
I remember watching ALIEN as a child. SCARED THE ABSOLUTE HELL OUT OF ME! So it took a while to go back to scary movies, I'm sure it would be okey...THE THING!! So I waded through another wave of nightmares, clearly things will be better since I grew older...TERMINATOR!! So I went through a 3 way nightmare fest for about a decade, but I'm sure as an adult I should be able to handle...
You should watch Event Horizon.
Kroft is an absolute legend.
We need a sequel to this franchise right now. Its been too long..
A good sequel though. They got worse and worse after aliens, but still good.
@@dustman96 yeah man, I genuinely hope they turn the franchise around. The recent movies had promise but fell so damn short. The alien franchise has such a crazy potential. Same thing goes for star wars but they decided to go PG.
@@augustortiz I never could understand why they can't just make another really good movie. It's not like they don't have a guaranteed payback no matter how much they spend. This happens to too many good franchises. Terminator is another that comes to mind, and Jurassic Park.
@@augustortiz Oh yeah, star wars, star trek, lord of the rings, etc
@@dustman96 dude I couldnt agree more. They have basically blank checks and the ability to hire the absolute best but somehow they always end up fucking the franchise sequels up. I saw this video (ruclips.net/video/4Z-QCDyL2q4/видео.html) of David and it gave me goosebumps knowing how much potential Prometheus wasted. It could have taken it forward but we got a tiny clusterfuck of unwanted material and unanswered questions. Let's not even talk about how shit the Disney crap has been... It's seriously depressing because movies in general have been so shit lately.
amazing breakdown of the movie man! always looking forward to your alien content! you should do one for interstellar too
New Kroft Video🤗Love From India❤
omg dude nice! Could listen to you talk about Alien for hours.
The Thing and 2001 are right up there with Alien.
Good call, the thing was most excellent.
Hello Kroft, I just wanted to say I love your channel. I just enjoy your videos so much. Your's is the only channel that I get so excited for and immediately click whenever you post a new video.
Hope you are well and great job on the awesome content.😁
Excellent! Just watched this last night, again…for the umpteenth time. :). I’ve seen them all, except Covenant, but Alien still scares me the most. Looking forward to your in depth detailed analysis.
Excellent summary ! Thank you ! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
You truly make the fun base happy.
Kroft videos are the best videos! Hope we see a breakdown of all the movies!
What happened to the Xenomorph that came from the Jockey?
Always love listening to your narration and watching your videos thank you
Please make more vídeos more often. Such a fan!
Thanks for new video! Always love the music but it is so well paired with your voice.
Your voice is so damn soothing bro 🙏
Thanks for your content and information. I really enjoy your take and content on movies.
Thanks again Kroft, another great video !
Really looking forward to the expansion !
'Kroft is here', love that !
I look forward to a more detailed breakdown video. Always enjoy your content. Skál!
The first alien movie & the first predator movie are by far my most favourite movies of all time
Thank you
It's so classical, I own a DVD of the movie.
Did I learn anything? No.
Was I entertained ? Yes.
Kroft we want the longer version.❤
Great capsulization, Kroft! Ever heard of another sci/fi film called "Dune"?
Yeah, thought so...
Yes Kroft is back!!!
This summary makes me realize how much Prometheus is a Remake of the original movies ^^
Still a favorite.
its a massive face hugger on the Space Jockey, only just realised!
New Video!! Evening safed
Kroft vids are the best!!❤❤
the cool thing abou this movie is, it doesn‘t explain too much. you hardly ever see the xonomorph, what you see is awesome. the fact that it lets great parts open to imagination, makes it a timeless classic. everything after was much worse.
Looking forward to it
What's this music in the background? I've heard it on other alien videos it's beautiful and majestic!
masterpiece
Kroft, H.R. Gieger had a insane clip called "Art in Motion" your viewers would be shocked, but have yo seen it?😳
I'm in the editing process of my latest action horror film and I will say that I reference to this particular film quite a bit in terms of how it was lit from a standpoint of the creature and so forth
Legend himself can you cover Raised by Wolf. I think you'd make a great work of it.
Or Never Cry Wolf
is this going to be a series?
What is the haunting music you use in your videos?
Fantastic film , never been impressed With the chest burster crossing the table😂
Just wait til I grow up suckers. Shoulda killed me when you had the chance
I am sure the aliens watching our TV channels must agree 🎉😅
Listen at 75% playback speed. It's better that way.
I had a guy I worked with, Don Delsasso, that elucidated me to this movie in 79. He used to read mags like Fangora, and clued me to this flick. He also thought, while tripping on orange sunshine, that Don't Stand So Close by Police, was " Don't Delsasso close to Me". He was a Good Righteous Dude back in 79-80. Seems like a life time ago, I guess it was. We also agreed that a gram of T was better than a gram of C. And I saw movie on T, on ON TV after it's Theatrical Release. I picked up on the Geiger Visuals, as my cousin had the ELP Brain Salad Surgery album when it was released. 1970's in Detroit was not that bad.
Not sure who would argue, this movie is the greatest for so many reasons. I'd say Alien has the best casting of any movie ever. The only problem with this movie is when Dallas encounters the alien in the conduit, the alien looks a little b movie in that scene, but the tension was so high that it kindof doesn't matter.
When I am in desperate need for Alien or Predator content… Kroft is there
How did the the higher command expect the crew to bring the xenomorph back to earth if they are all expected to be dead? The xenomorph would also kill Ash so what was the plan?
The xenomorph wouldn’t kill ash as you see in Covenant with David. The idea was to smuggle it inside one of the crew in stasis.
Kroft, you are therapy.
Kroft is the man.
That is not an explanation. It is a summary.
Uhh what?
@@whit3dant3 a summary. A short presentation of the story. Nice in itself, but not explaining anything.
@markus-hermannkoch1740 yeahhhh , didn't you read the title? It clearly states "full movie *summary* " on it
❤A real masterpiece, along Blade Runner and Terminator 2 at the top of the podium ! Hitchcock power 1000 !
I still dont understand how Xenos grow so fast.
Don't ask questions. It got into their food stores, or at least that's what I tell myself
@@dustman96 LOL it makes no god damn sense how it goes from functional fetus to 12 foot tall monster in a few hours but yeah, Ill just asume it eats all the rats and dogs/cats nearby.
@@augustortiz There were actually 200 cats on the ship, Jones was the only one that didn't get eaten.
eyyy lets gooo
Thanks for another great video. I liked the term face huggers. The one theme that runs through the movies is the way the companies have no care for the ordinary people. The ordinary people are fodder for their experiments or expendable once their use is over. Art imitating life or life imitating art one wonders. The Tomorrow War (2021) - I think is a good movie - another alien one and like the Alien / Predator movies you get to see the creatures. Nothing I hate more is a movie that you don’t see anything or very little. Interesting where they say the creatures come from and also what they look like - Revelation ch 9. In the movie yet again the government looking after humanity!! Listen to the two witnesses and the three Holy angels to come as they will respectively explain all you need to know including - preach the gospel, tell us who Babylon of our time is, warn us about the mark of the beast and the consequences if you take it - Revelation ch 11+14v6-12+13+17v8. John ch 14v1-6. KJV online bible used. You can look the references up if you wish.
The engineers got their " revenge " on David by wiping out humanity on Earth. I suspect that is the reason why at the end of Alien Resurrection ,we see Call and Ripley landing on a desolate and descimated Earth .
Yea but what about the bonuses
Where is the explanation? Summarized but not explained
so what happens to the infertile eggs?
I think engineers conservated them
Alien then Blade Runner...I mean wtf was Ridley smoking? Stand alone classics forever.
Speed x1.5, you re welcome
Just summarizing the story isn't an explanaition...
Dallas and Brett were morphing into eggs in cut scenes (added later in Director's Cut (2003)) alluding that eggs that were found by Kane could be humans in past
I'm not looking forward to alien tv series I'm a loyal Peter weyland industries time line fan
A company , lieing & deceiving without explanation or consequence for profit . Hmm I wonder where real life company's get the idea ?
One thing I always wonder about is what that white gunk inside Kane's helmet was when they pull it off before we see the full attached facehugger.
Facehugger premature ejaculation?
You explained nothing. You just rehearsed the movie
How is just reading out a synopsis of the plot equal "Movie Explained" !!!???
Hello Guys DerPokeDude here love ya all
I love the background music.
