When someone is being an idiot, let them. It’s not a competition. You don’t have to be a bigger idiot.
I'll be king one way or another!
These right here are words to live by - especially on the road
ego fights
What did he do that makes him an idiot?
First guy's main mistake was horrible positioning. You're on a motorcycle. You can choose your position more freely than a car. Was he positioning for better vision (line of sight)? Nope. He was trying to smoothen out the S bend in a BLIND TURN. Not wise my dude. He was on position 1 (far right) when he shoulda been on P3 (far far left) of the lane. DO NOT open the throttle to where you don't see! You don't know what's waiting for you in that blind spot!
He also has yield markings in the road, and with the visibility being basically zero, he should have crept into the junction. Wouldn't surprise me if he has ridden through this intersection many times without ever a car coming.
Yup. The good old 'the road I know bias'. We all need to understand and accept that we can't know any road outside of the track. Visibility is king! No vision, no go!
First Clip 100% Bikers fault. He has to yield
Biker was going too fast with bad road position. Had he have extended his view by being towards the left, both vehicles(and junction) would have become visible earlier allowing more time to react appropriately.... the car should have stopped but instead made the wrong call, that said, the bikers speed seemed the major contributing factor.......
We see the ground markings way before we see the junction. The Biker even sees them way earlier than us or atleast he should. The car did nothing wrong, biker is just an idiot
@@iainbaker2742”biker was going too fast” and that’s all that needs to be read. Ride within your limits.
Biker doesnt have to yield. Hes on a straight line with no yield signs. Car needs to yield.
Its a blind corner. Nothing to do with yielding, biker was going too fast for that road.
Biker is guilty, guilty for speed.
Nearly every clip on all these videos is the riders fault
3:25 You can see the fairing next to his right shoulder.
Seriously man you been doing this for years now and probably saved so many people. Thank you man
6:41 just for information, that black and white sign indicate that this is the end of the 70km/h (43.5mph) limit zone. So it is probably limited to 90km/h now (56mph). 170km/h is too much anyways.
Have a nice day 🙂
Usually that sign means its the beginning of the 70kmh speed limit.
It says "maximum' 70mkh.
Thats the beginning.
You dont put a maximum speed sign at the end of said area.
A lot of people with big egos in this video 😅 “They will have the right of way, all the way to heaven” as my dad says
You can’t afford to stand your ground on an uncovered bike
The speed some ppl carry into blind corners is scary, zero common sense
its amazing how many clips show entitled little buthurt bikers that are 'gonna show them' .. i love how this channels plays that crap down .. youre NOT scary on your bike, all it takes is one stiff having a bad day and he's gonna f you up, and it makes it more dangerous for all bikers creating that entitled little ahole image .. some peoples response to that with all cyclistd is "i'm gonna f this prick up just for a laugh"
I really wonder what the odds are of getting into a wreck on a motorcycle if you just ride around the speed limit with proper lane positioning. Some of these accidents are just like....bruh
I can't watch most of these anymore without thinking "Does it never occur to any of these morons that they might be going too fast and riding in blind spots?" I think at this point, it's just Darwinism at work.
At 12:09 did the car make contact? In the USA that's a felony charge.
I learn a lot from your videos, now im more alert in the road and asumme everyone is a dumb dumb watching the cellphone
Theirs a guy that ride at night and flys down the main road I pray he doesn’t hit a deer
I'm taking my course in about a month, but your videos already have me driving my car going "Not a big deal, moving on" when someone does something stupid. Not to mention also being more aware of bikes around me. These have been a huge help!
I'm also a pretty green EMT, so these are like the perfect storm of content for me. I'm hooked fr big bro
If you are over the speed limit, you lose ALL grounds of the argument. Someone switching lanes is not throwing their car at you, you are supposed to be on the road limit. So dont flick them, flick yourself ❤😊
Im a noob cyclist, recently got my first 700cc (mt 07), I always have the question when an impact is inevitable, wouldn't it be better to jump of the bike if you can react in time, for example at 8:10 wouldn't it be better if you jumped over the car before impact?
11:35 will be an American driver - probably working at a US base in the UK. They're a real hazard and motorcyclists have died because of Americans driving on the wrong side of the road here. Very, very dangerous. Please don't drive in the UK without taking a lesson or two from a driving school or at least studying the Highway Code. The roads are dangerous, narrow and fast and the rules are different.
A friend who lives there says Minnesota just legalized lane splitting. Rules are traffic moving no more than 25 MPH, biker can be going no more than 15 MPH faster than the traffic. This is the farthest east state to legalize so far.
@13:37 why the heck would you stay in the right lane with an onramp coming up? DO NOT. Center lane at least. In many areas around me I move far left unless there's traffic over there because a lot of people on the onramp are impatient and immediately swerve over TWO lanes to pass the people they were behind on the ramp.
Be more critical of riders speeding and creating undue hazard! The 170km person would have had zero issues if he wasn't speeding. This is a common theme in moto videos I see. Very often the issue wouldn't occur at safer speeds.
I don't like that when in a accident the moto rider or riders go and check the bike first. Got make sure its not missing a tire or leaking gas.😅 Hey there is a person missing and arm and leaking blood. But they checked the motorcycle first. F the motorcycle check the man or woman first.
Ill never understand the rev bombing. I listen for honks as its a sound of something like pay attention to this noise. After driving for years and years its a sound most people (id hope) are maybe more attuned to. Rev bombing is not a honk.
3:20 went by that car at really high speed. Going 100? 120?
The lines are 10ft not 20, however you are correct about the spacing @ 30ft.
4:02 I guess he has special motorcycle pants made of abrasion-proof aramid fibre.
I dunno DanDan, if the second guy had let go of the bike wouldn't he be more likely to tumble and bounce around?
1st clip - On a single lane 2way road Never take the Inside line 0_o
Dan dan, i always watch your vids whenever i am having a bad time. I appreciate you teaching riders and even your everyday commuter learns something.
Supporting you with 1,000,000 Subs!!! I am recommending your channel to even my online friends.
first clip someone said biker has to yield so it is his fault but he should be as far left as he can
I ride a royal Enfield classic 500. Got to take it slow on this thing. 😅
Seems like if a new rider gets something other than a sport bike, there is a greater chance of remaining upright.
When are these riders going to learn to go the opposite way the car is moving, move away from the impact area not right into it! Jeez
1:55, three white triangles on road means Yield. The rider failed to Yield.
At 3:25 you paused on the frame that shows the road debris flying up to his left after he hit it
Did anyone know what injuries he had suffered?
It's called a speed limit for a reason wtf
first dude def zigged when he should have zagged.
3:22 if you freeze the video, you can see the piece that fell off his bike.
13:03 "Side of the child" had me rolling.
@3:25 look at the piece of debris to the left. Totally could be a bit of fairing.
Noticed every angry rider was someone on a sport bike, just don't get why they are the ones who always have a problem with other motorists.
I'd say for some reason most the videos of cars doing dumb things is someone on a sport bike. One part I understand being frustrated at someone's stupidity or negligence almost harming you. But the other aspect I know alot of people make honest mistakes often when driving and it's not worth getting upset or ruining your day.
Another part, seeing your friend in the road after watching a car turn into them can be tough but important to focus on is their okay an not starting a brawl in the street over who's at fault.
Also many do ride way to fast especially in town, intersections and residential areas and it's absolutely stupid IMO which is why when I feel like riding faster and having fun I wait till I'm on a road out of town where it's more open
what are the inverted triangle on the road
How do these people get their licenses?
4:15 Most likely a Stolen car
With the SV1000: If the bike is destroyed anyway, leave it where it is until the cops get there. Unless it's leaking gas badly and might catch fire or something. You don't want to introduce uncertainty about who's at fault (accident reconstruction) and nobody's riding that bike home anyway.
Dan, Dan, he’s our man! If he can’t learn ya, no one can!!!
I ride 35km both ways to go to work, everyday I get cut off and pushed but only once or twice I didn't see it coming. It's exactly as you say Dandan some situations ALWAYS lead to those behaviours, if you recognize it it just becomes part of the ride
13:03
Side of the child 😂
To decide on which direction to pick to avoid collision with person moving across your path, more often than not it's best to go behind moving object. If the choice isn't clear, pick behind. IMHO of course.
Sight line issues need to be reported to the jurisdiction so they can be rectified. Like potholes, if not reported they won't be addressed.
Do those deer whistle things actually work to keep deer away?
At 6:40 , you mentioned that “I’m assuming that it’s kind of slow (170+kph).
That’s 105 miles per hour, on a country road, and that ain’t “slow.”
That’s “just kill me now” speed.
100 mph isnt that fast though, It's just not smart to do on blind turn city streets haha
@@areyou0k98
I’ve been a biker since the 1960’s.
If you think 100 miles per hour “isn’t that fast”, you’re the problem.
@@peglegjim57 I'm not condoning that speed on public backroads at all, hell my 300cc bike ain't even reaching 100mph, but I'm just saying with modern vehicles and brakes, 100 mph isn't that fast. Hell travel to Germany Autobahn, that's the slow lane speed haha.
@@areyou0k98
“The jury rests its case.”
@@peglegjim57 I'm not disagreeing with you than it's reckless to go that fast on blind turn country roads, but to blanket statement say that 100mph is crazy fast is where I disagree brother, that is all.
You sound a little tired in this video. I usually like the energy you bring to your vids 💯
The second clip you paused it when I showed what he hit it popped up next to his head lol
3:24 there is something flying in the air by his right shoulder here
In the original video, dude that solid said he hit a banana peel!
20:12 an apt description of Tucson drivers
Hey, I got a question. How useful and necessary is progressive Breaking, if my bike has full ABS?
You still need to do progressive braking to stop quickly. If you just slam the brakes it'll activate abs and you will stop slower.
ABS, as any driving / riding assist, is NOT making anyone a better or safer rider. It's just helping you not to crash when you fail. Always drive / ride like you have no ABS and consider a failure you can learn on when it turns on.
