@anastasia, nutmeg is such a good idea. We add nutmeg, star anise, and cinnamon to our shepherd's pie, so nutmeg absolutely makes a lot of sense for mashed potatoes. We'll try it next time. Thanks!!

I am trying yellow potatoes today, instead of Yukon Gold. I usually use russet. The Yukons are a hybrid of russet and yellow, so will be interesting to see how straight yellow turns out.
