  • Looking for a short but interesting family walk near to Glasgow? Then Loudoun Hill is definitely worth considering. This volcanic plug lies near to Darvel in East Ayrshire, and whilst it may have a short, steep ascent it offers wide views across the countryside.

      The kids enjoyed the walk and crawling over some rocks on the way up. It actually started chucking it down immediately after we finished 😂

    Hill of Stake was technically the most northern point of North Ayrshire and I headed up there during lockdown aswell.
    Lots of arse kicking getting done for sure😅.
    Interesting fact!
    Seemingly you can see the whole of Ayrshire from Loudon hill.

      I think North Ayrshire goes almost all the way to Loch Thom.
      You can see a fair amount of it, but not quite all of it sadly.

    Brilliant video guys as usual. I was actually wondering the other day what happened to yous lol. Its been a while. Like the video with the kids. Gives me ideas where to take my son. Looks like a nice wee walk.

      Definitely a great walk if you have young kids, it’s a mini adventure for them with lots to see. We should be back with more regular videos again now and will talk a wee bit about our break in the next one.
