Great video. When you swipe down on the info screen how do you get the icons there to turn on and off? Like the one you had for traffic sign recognition. I have the dolphin and only just found this swipe down from the top capability. Thank you.
I mostly charge at home - I have ZJ Beny 32A 7kW. Car takes about 6.3kW so in my cheap tariff time (midnight to 6am) I get ~45% battery charged. I've only fast charged once and saw 140kW going from around 20 to 50%. The app is quite useful but needs more features to be really good.
I still have 2309. There's been no OTA update for me. I'm happy enough with my solution but yes, apparently 2310 and 2401 have less intrusive ADAS. But you lose the ability to sideload apps. I'm going to make sure I have all the apps I want before doing any OTA or let my car near a service centre, where they might update the software.
Great info! I noticed on the screen that it appears that the Waze app has been side loaded? Just wondered if there's any difference running the Waze app side loaded as opposed to running Waze within either Android Auto or Apple car play? Cheers
Yes, I sideloaded Waze and some other apps. Works in landscape or portrait mode. Advantage is you don't need your phone and the aircon controls are always available - don't need to swipe out or exit out of AA or ACP to access controls.
@@Gene-je2zq Thanks for that Gene. For me I would prefer the app sideload simply because of what you've mentioned. The only down side that I can see is you have to manage the update of the app manually. Maybe BYD might have it as an included app. Cheers 👍
@@glennmoloney7460 if you also install Aurora Store you can keep any apps supported updated without additional sideloading. Yes, you have to manually select to update - I just check periodically.
A nice concise how-to for these annoying warnings. The bureaucrats have mandated that these warnings reset every restart to get a 5 Star safety rating. Because people can’t be trusted, right? I would like to see your settings remembered as a profile, that you can accept or reset. Other manufacturers make their speed sign symbol pulse when you are going too fast, rather than the annoying doop, doop, doop that the Seal does.
Isn’t it a shame that in this day and age we have to turn these things off every time you drive. What’s worse is that after a while we will think it’s normal to have to do that and say, it’s not that bad!
Awesome tip, will be doing this on my Seal!
ADAS quieter now and no need to turn off since software update 2401.
Another great video! 😊
Thank you 🤗

Blue is on and grey is off. Some register like an on/off button and some take you to other menus. You can edit which 6 icons are the default.
Can you set a speed limiter on it? My fiance loves using that instead of the cruise control especially in town??
Would love some information on your charging experience as well as the BYD App Gene!!

Which version are you using? In version 2310 I do not see any problem with the Lane Assist so I never turn this off. Haven't beeped once.

I have Waze enabled in Android Auto and icon in settings

Do you have to turn off these annoying settings EVERY time you get into the car and turn it on??
This was the very early version of software so i think it has been fixed now

New software is much better.
