4:15 what helps on that post spin is when ripping with the ball bring it down & "brush it just above" your shoelaces. This forces you to get lower & minimizes the chance of it getting stolen.
1 - Drop step 2 - (Fake) up and drop step 3 - Up and under 4 - Strong hand hook shot 5 - Face up a - Jab and shoot b - Jab and go c - Jab, go and spin e - touch and go f - touch and go and spin Lastly, add extra pivots and shot (head) fakes to all these moves.
I’m 6’5” 290 and when i play pick up I’ll usually just post 6-7ft away on either side, reverse pivot, and depending on how much space I’m being given it’s either a bank shot, two dribbles into a hook, OR (my favorite) a pump fake into a one dribble layup on the other side of the rim. Works 90% of the time and I don’t jump.
A great tip to go along with all of these, execute them with power and aggression. Finessing will only take you so far, an aggressive defender or any skilled one for that matter is gonna body you tf up. Watch guys like Barkley,Kobe, Jordan etc yea freak athletes but the fundamentals don’t change.
I appreciate all the advice you give in these videos man. I put them into practice whenever I can and they’re very helpful. But if I may give out constructive criticism, you might want to lower the duration of your b-rolls and the slomo stuff. It takes almost 50% of your video. Just my humble opinion bro. Keep on killing it.
Just watched last week's video on shooting drills for kids- was going to leave comment there but comments are turned off. Be great if you can do a series of videos for smaller/younger kids. I watch your videos with my 7 year old but some drills are a little tricky for that age. More drills on fundamentals would be great
If you're a big man watching this, don't do what he does on the running jump hook and face the basket. Unless your defender is a guard or just lazy, you're going to get BLOCKED. Much like a regular hook shot, you HAVE to learn to do this sideways, with your non-dominant side protecting you from the player.
@@lankstadiscs actually, yes. We just had a refs meeting before the quarantine stuff and they reemphasized that while either a) going up for a shot, the pivot foot may leave the floor prior to the ball leaving the hands as long as said pivot foot does not touch the ground again before the shot is released or b) if the player has not established a dribble, the pivot foot may leave the ground prior to the ball leaving the hands as long as a dribble takes place prior to the pivot foot making contact with the floor again.
Justin Abbott I mean I see a ton of players doing it so I think you might be right, but when did the rules change? Why did I live my entire life getting told by everyone around me that this was a travel?
Thanks coach very imformative.but pls cut the unnecessary slow motion and repetitive stuff, add more detail to the moves like hand and foot movement etc.thanks again
I don't think it's a good idea to fade away as a post I think you should always go towards the basket to draw the foul but then again you're the coach I'm not that's just my opinion
The music is unnecessarily vulgar and disgusting in general. Switch it up to something soft. Background instrumental beats are fine, but the cut scenes with the rapping is unappealing.

Could it be better if you had someone with you to demonstrate the moves?
I mean, to let everyone know how effective it actually is?

4:07 awesome 6:29 awesome
I think these two footworks are similar and their spin directions are inverse to each other.

Move #1 starts at 1:29
Love ur vids
On second move when he spins to his right he should keep ball in outside hand, away from defender

Move #3 is a travel, clearly lifts pivot foot before ball ever leaves his hand.
Not a travel as long as that foot doesn't plant again before the ball leaves your hands.
Justin Abbott so your pivot foot gets to leave the floor before you take a dribble? We are still playing basketball right?
