Important topic for people to really gain an understanding of how it works

Yeah but the most important thing is the business model. Ultimately why do people create content on a popular site rather than on their own personal web pages? Because a lot of people access that media site. And data mining by businesses means they also have an interest in supporting this structure. Web 3.0 doesn't offer up any monetizable advantage to anyone. How can a person become a popular content creator in such a world? In the current status quo this has become a fairly accessible dream. In Web 3.0 it will become inaccessible again. You are on your own pretty much and have as much chance of success as by hosting your content on your own webpage right now. Businesses are reduced to the untargeted advertising of the past. Unless of course you have reliable search engines on Web 3.0 and then we come full circle to dominance by companies like Google. They just won't physically host content on their own servers

So to simplify - basically your wallet acts as your proxy so that you may dodge the ads, data collection and what not... Have I got this right?

Two question - hope someone can help:
1- if I want to watch a video from mr beast, do I have to "pay" mr beast to watch it?
2- if web 3.0 will prevent to publicly share my data, does it mean that algorithms, like youtube recommendations, will be dead?

Web 3.0 envisions a decentralized internet where users control their data and participate in the governance of online platforms.
    Summary
Web 1.0 (1991-2003) was the static web with simple HTML pages and limited user interaction.
Web 2.0 (2004-present) is the current interactive web with user-generated content and social media platforms. However, it is centralized, with big tech companies controlling user data.
Web 3.0 aims to be a decentralized web where users own their data and participate in governance through blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
Data is the main currency of Web 2.0. Web3 proposes replacing data with cryptocurrency.
Web3 networks will be decentralized and open, meaning anyone can participate in maintaining the network without a central authority.
Web3 aims to break down corporate monopolies of the internet by enabling user participation in governance and operation of online platforms.

Web3 is the next generation of the internet, aiming to be more decentralized and user-controlled compared to the current Web 2.0.
    Summary
Web 1.0 (1991-2003) consisted of static web pages with limited user interaction. Users mostly consumed content.
Web 2.0 (present day) allows for more user interaction with features like social media and online shopping. However, data is collected by large corporations and users have little control over it. Web 2.0 data is typically stored on centralized servers owned by these corporations.
Web3 proposes a decentralized web where users control their data and interact directly without intermediaries. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology are seen as instrumental in achieving this.
