this nearly-decade-old ssbb combo video has better-quality editing than a surprising amount of modern combo videos 🔥🔥🔥
ok I had to replay the 2nd clip a few times at slower speed to gain a grasp of what happened there.
He kept the AI partner on the platform above, took the few tornado hits as the lead climber, got carried up, had the partner powershield-cancel into downsmash to hit MK out of his tornado, and immediately followed that up with a grab from the lead climber. Furthermore that grab happened right after he got clipped by the tornado a final time.
I ....what? WHAT?!

9B as an Ice Climber main is truly ahead of his time. The character is already so open to creativity, but he just takes it a step further, to the point a lot of other Ice Climbers are still just trying to catch up.

It's not
Half of these were just the standard hand off chain grab and people jizz their pants. The effects were badass but I am not sure why people are so into Brawl "montages" aka failed combo videos.

C'mon now. I trash talk Brawl too but this is the only thing that requires skill in Brawl, and some of these grab combos were really cool. Just trying to say that this is a nice video to be brawl.
And how exactly is Brawl competitive? I just saw chain grabs into up smashes.

vyQ they weren't in smash 4 because they were to strong and they were 2 controllable characters sure smash 4 has Rosalina and Luma but ice climbers are much stronger this video just shows how strong the ice climbers are
Noob 123 you said it so wrong. They weren’t in smash 4 because both ice climbers had 2 different movesets, and the 3ds wasn’t capable of handling 8 ice climbers, so they were cut. But Rosalina and luma have 1 moveset shared

Boom Dixon If 9B used a different palette swap you would be right because the palette swaps change which climber you actually play as. The one 9B uses makes nana the main climber while the default makes popo the main climber for example.
No better way to send off the Ice Climbers. Absolutely beautiful.

Song at the end is 'Into the Fields' from Spirit Tracks redone by ZREO if anyone's wondering.
I loooove the music here, for a few reasons. One is that it's a really good song, and it syncs up with the footage really well, but it's also a nice nod to the history of fighting games the Climbers' style; Zangief was pretty much the first grappler in fighting games. Is that why it was chosen? Either way it's a great exhibition of my favorite characters, and it's part of why this is one of my favorite Smash combo videos out there! ^_^
I love this video, but the ending makes me feel so sad. It's like the ICs are saying "I'm looking forward to seeing you all in smash 4" and they... aren't
I just realized how amazing it is that the death sound effects are played after the next clip starts
it lets the viewers know that the opponent lost the stock and it allows the next clip to sync with the music
