The Kreg Sawhorse can be used in this setup as well. A cheaper alternative if you are still need the big table ability but not having to worry about have 2 mobile project centers. If you only need the big table option and not so much of having project tables you can always just use the 2 Kreg sawhorses for the same large table functionality. I have the 1 PC and the 1 SH and it works great.
Just wanted to say great video. You let me see that there is so much more to this table than I thought. I agree with you on the pocket hole line up tool. Or what ever you want to call it. Hope Kreg puts your idea to use.

Just bought a few tables to eat thanksgiving dinner on. Should hold up the turkey. I can clamp it down to while I carve it with a reciprocating saw.

Just an idea but you could make your own jaw plate for your Kreg 90 degree clamp and solder it on. Alternatively, hot glue can be cast into a shape that slides on so that it can be removed when desired.

OK, I'm sold. :) I just ordered one of these online from a local woodworking supply store.
Great review! One additional capability that I use is an extension of the table mode. You cut your sacrificial sawhorse 2x4's to the full width and attach them to the tables. Then, you insert the blue side brackets in the middle of the three slots and position your 8' 2x4's as before. This creates a framework that allows you to rip sheet goods with a circular saw. Remember to check your cut depth!

Good review. I purchased one prior to watching your video. The clamp that is included would cost $55 on average so that brings the price for the table alone to around $110. I really, really like this work station. The small area I work in is the 2-car garage when not a work-shop. Thus everything is on wheels or able to be stored away. The Kreg table does that quickly and when set up you know you have a stable work-station. I can not see me ever having two. This was a major purchase but I found out how useful it was the very first time I used it to hold a 7 foot long piece of mdf. Con reviews have been the pinch-points but like Poplar Shop guy I have long arms so I can grab the hand-holds. The solve for the potential 'finger-wreck' is a trailer-hitch pin. I am looking for one that will span the 6" wide Kreg. That isn't my fix. I saw it on another review. The pro carpenter in that video was incredible as he had a slam-dunk review and showed how he inserted the hitch pin into one of the dog holes and made it impossible to inadvertently open a wing. Take that, wicked blood-blister!! One commentary on the table. I will not use the edge lip for holding a screw box. I am great at spilling and I can see screws all over my garage floor from bumping one of these cool boxes off the table. That is what my nail-bag belt is for and I wear it all the time in the shop. Good idea but I think it is less than ideal. Thanks for a great review Mr. Poplar.

I bought two and hoped for the best. The very first thing I noticed was how heavy they are. Not unmanageable, but heavier than expected. I soon overlooked the weight when I realized how well built they are. 2200 pound capacity on the saw horse. 350 on the table. And 100 pound on one side of the table. The table locks were positive and I felt they were secure. I like your observation on the 90° clamps and would like to have a larger pad on them for all uses to spread out clamping pressure. Thanks for the review, it was spot on with my thoughts. This is a great product!
When I loaded then in my truck I was a little surprised at the weight of them as well. But, like you said, they are well built. Please contact Kreg that you would like the larger pad on the 90* clamp. Maybe if more guys show interest in having the clamp made they will put it in production. Enjoy the tables man !

Nice. New subscriber as of today. Kreg and so many other companies should hire you. Not to mention names, Rikon, Jet, Dremel, etc - rate poorly not only on assembly instruction but also how to use. I'm already invested in Kreg so the golden handcuffs keep me buying Kreg. Good stuff but over priced. Thanks for the video and look forward to more.

I've had one table for a year or so now and have really liked it. The wings, when raised, don't form a totally level surface, but it's not so much that you'd care. If a totally level surface is what you need, consider getting a second unit and configuring them into a workbench layout. This is why I bought my second Kreg KWS1000 recently. With one leaf down on each, and using the side mounted cleats to hold a 2/4, they make a really nice work surface that can be easily put away when you're done working (like if your shop has to share space with your car). My only complaint is that the little "X" shaped inserts you can use to attach the tables to each other? They're crap. They don't fit cleanly into each bench and if either of the benches gets tweaked out of place at all (like bumped by a careless co-worker with a pallet jack), it's a almost impossible to get the pin back out so you can re-position the tables. Only other real complaint is why did Kreg make benches so sturdy and solid, but make the shelf underneath such cheap plastic that resting even a moderately heavy power tool on it causes it to bow downward? Otherwise, however, they're great benches and I really like using them!

I really like this Kregg mobile workstation! BTW, an FYI for your viewers reading this. If they don't want to or can't buy a second "The Table" as you call it - haha) and already have a Jawhorse (as I do), the Jawhorse is about the same height as "The Table" 32 1/2" - 32" tall when unfolded, which could be used as support on the other end if needed on long 12' or more pieces. Just an FYI. You can delete this if you feel it's inappropriate.

No storage for the accessories, Steve. When the table is folded up, you'll have to keep the clamp and bench somewhere else. Unless you want to keep the clamp in the top track and keep the bench dogs in the holes if you have the table folded and against a wall.

Nice video' Tip You could try to trace the bigger clamp pad on to a small 1/4 piece of plywood and cut it out then glue it with Epoxy to the Right Angel clamp that might work to hold it on so you could use it in the vertical position.😎👍JP

Nice review, Eric. Do you remember years ago (it seems) I told you I was putting the systainer cart into the CNC? Well, I should have my first cart complete tomorrow. Made from black melamine. I hate it. Next one will run using plywood. It only takes 10 minutes to cut all the parts and a weekend to assemble it, ha ha. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
HA ! It does seem like it was years ago when you told me that you planned on making sysports. 10 minutes to cut the parts, and a weekend to assemble. I guess it's better late than never. hahahaha
The tabletop of mine is shaped like a pup-tent.
Also, when folded, there's nothing to grab onto to carry it.
And the pinch hazard is sky-high when opening it up.

I just pick one of these up after watching your video and within 10 seconds of opening it I smash the crap out of my fingers! That's a major design flaw they need a fix. Other than that, I think it's going to be very useful.

Hey Steve, Since the table folds, the tops are hinged. When you put a lot of downward force on the front edge of the table when the sides are up, it flexes a little. But, you have to put a lot of downward pressure on the edges. When your on a level surface, the table feels solid. Since the Kreg table does not have adjustable feet, if you're on a uneven surface it will affect the table. Wish the table had the ability to level the feet. Thanks for watching buddy ! Eric
I have two of these tables and they work great for me. I did see the RUclips video, The Works table vs Kreg table, they weren't honest about the Craig table in the video, they misled the people on the Craig's clamping device showing Kreg clamps didn't hold when in fact they didn't have a clamping pressure set, that's what that little round dial is for under the clamp handle. Craig's table is 15 pounds heavier than the Works table, that's another reason why I purchased the Craig's table, it feels more solid. I'm not saying The Works table is a bad table, I'm just saying if you're going to do a review one table versus another at least be honest.

Your right Eric, it does have lots of very nice features and versatility! Along with a few deficiencies that you pointed out plus it's low height, and not so strong plastic top. But the big question is, would you have purchased one at the price they are asking $169 if they hadn't sent you two to review? If you bought them on your own, my question is irrelevant and hope they stand up (pun) to the work (punishment - haha) you will subject them to over time!
I would like to have one and could really use it in my small DIY partial garage but the over $100 is a bit much for an introductory offer during this great selling holiday season. Well for me anyway. Thanks very much for your honest and unbiased opinion!

No. It's not adjustable. It would be nice if you could adjust the height with some adjustable legs or something. Maybe if Kreg does a new version of this table in the future they will incorporate some height adjustments.
So, have you thought about welding a washer to your clamp? Epoxy would hold too.

Current price - $159 for this Kreg table. For those with deep pockets, enjoy. For those of us on fixed incomes, this is out of the ball park.
Interesting bit of kit. Reminds me of my walko workbench crossed with a sawhorse. Wonder if it would be difficult to route the dog holes out to 20mm...
The bottom of the table tops are not solid. So you wouldn't have enough "meat" to open up the holes. The bottoms are webbed, if that's the correct way to describe it ?

On the pocket hole clamp which has the stud you insert in the pocket. You say it would be nice if Kreg made that clamp with a larger pad to fit the slot on the underside of the table. I know this review is 3 years old and Kreg probably hasn't taken your advice so for anyone watching you could modify some clamps on your own by finding a flat washer with a diameter that fits the lost and welding it on to the pad on the clamp. You'd just need a couple tacks which could be made on the ID of the washer where it covers the pad on the clamp.
Is that a... Bosch cordless nail gun on the bench? I didn't even know they made those things! Is it any good? And what size is it? Framing/16g/15g...

Vince Baker I agree that is why I purchased the Worx. It comes with so many more attachments and most importantly, the bottom shelf WORKS. Kreg's bottom shelf caves in, it doesn't hold much weight. I'm happy with my Worx and I got if for $89, I purchased two. Very happy! I really wanted the Kreg and watch tons of videos and I saw on video where the bottom shelf was caving in with very little weight on it. I read where someone said it is useless. For this price point everything should be working like it does on the Worx. Vince Baker Me too. I was going to get 2 of them but, I watched a video and the bottom shelf was caving in, it would hold much weight. I ended up getting 2 Worx and I LOVE THEM. For the price of the Kreg I could get 2 Worx Pegasus worktable, worth the price, great quality. I do like Kreg stuff, this table just wasn't worth the money to me.

I wish there was a hybrid between the worx & kreg tables. The design of the worx with the clamping capabilities of the kreg. Also, with the height adjustability of the Toughbuilt C700. Now that would be ultimate.

I honestly never seen the Worx Pegasus table until you mentioned it. I had to Google it and watch a couple videos. LOL !
You know, it's not a bad looking table. I didn't look into the specs or get too deep into looking at prices on the Pegasus, but if it looks like a table that will fit your needs, then it can't be wrong for you, right ? From the video I watched on the Pegasus, the reasons I would buy the Kreg table over the Pegasus are the all metal legs, the AutoMaxx clamp, the single aluminum channel in the middle of the table, I'm not sure I would want a channel on each side of the table, plus I've already invested into a lot of Kreg Automaxx clamps that will work with the Kreg table. Now, the one feature the Pegasus appears to have that the Kreg table does not have, the tops seem to lock in place when the table is folded up. If you're a weekend warrior and need to break out the table on the weekends I see no reason why the Worx table won't work for you. After watching a video on the Worx table, I'm wondering if the two companies helped each other with designing the tables.
I agree with you about the metal vs plastic legs, also the Kreg table looks better IMO. I hope Kreg will come out with something like an add on clamping system that will lock the table tops when closed like you had mentioned in the near future.

Do u think kreg will be better or the pegasus will do just for ocatio al user? Don't have a workshop, my garage is a game room and a gym and also don't work with wood but sometimes I fix stuff around house and need a table to cut something or whatever. The kreg looks more versatile than pegasus but a lot heavier:(

I appreciate the review, but all you did was take longer and a more hands on approach of the dealer video. What did you think of the product? I notice that when you clamped down the joints that sometimes the pieces looked like the moved some, perhaps out of level with each other? Thinking of picking 2 of these up and I am looking for a over all grade on them.
An overall grade. For me, I would give it a 8 out of 10. The lack of a lock for the table tops when they are down is a negative for me. The lack of a way to level at least two of the feet for uneven surfaces is another negative for me.
it seems Kreg has not changed the form factor to accomodate the swivel pad with an adapter yet. if you measured each pad and know someone who could 3d print a collar for the swivel pad so it could fit into the large pad track, you could try to make it zero clearance in the off chance you could use the clamps maximum opening.
2 years since this was posted. One problem not listed is the fold out tables sagging down and not lining up with each other, with no adjustment designed into the table to counteract this situation. I am going to experiment with trying to make an adjuster to the table lock mechanism to solve this problem. Bad on Kreg.
If you also have the Adaptive Cutting System, you can use their two accessory brackets, 2 - 2 X 4's, the Mobile Project Center, and make a side table that will allow you to break down sheets of plywood. Come to think about it, I must have $2000 in Kreg stuff, and I still don't have enough clamps and accessories for my Adaptive Cutting System. Something is out of control here! LOL. Good stuff though or I wouldn't have bought it all.

M.Night207 I'm 6' with shoes on, LOL! I have 32" length for the Blaklader pants. The foot opening or the bottoms, whatever you want to call it, are wide, so they fall over the tops of my shoes and near the bottom of my heal but don't hit the ground. If that makes sense? I'm not a fashion expert. hahaha

Eric, I am in the process of building a work shed, I noticed your "labeled" containers behind you in your video on the Kreg KWS1000. Can you tell me the brand of containers and where I could purchase? Thanks
The grey and green containers are Festool Systainers. They are made by TANOS for Festool. You can search Amazon, eBay or Google and you'll be able to find them. They are not cheap. So a alternative storage solution for you could be the Bosch L-BOXX. If you search and compare the Systainers and L-Boxx you will be able to come up with a good storage solution for your shed.
I have a few Bosch L-Boxx's. They are bigger than the systainers. And cheaper. Also, since TANOS makes the Festool Systainer, Woodcraft started selling TANOS in different colors. I don't know where you live, but if you want different color containers, check out Woodcraft for TANOS products. So, to make a long response even longer (hahahaha) If you Google search "TANOS" or
"Festool Systainer" or "Bosch L-Boxx" you'll find a place selling them. Take care, Eric
Is this table sturdy enough for hand planing and traditionel woodworking?
For traditional woodworking, probably not. If you think about a traditional woodworking bench, you have side vises that allows you to clamp a piece with nothing in the way and you can use a plane. The Kreg table has no side vise. You could use the bench clamp and clamp the piece on the side of the table, but you don't have much support for using a hand plane. If you come up with a way to clamp a piece of wood onto the top of the table, then it would be sturdy enough for some chisel and plane work. But, it doesn't not replace a traditional woodworking bench.
Sir, You say the work surface can support up to 300 pounds. How about the lower shelf? Is it sturdy enough to hold a few tools? I'm thinking circular saw, drill, and router. What is the shelf's weight capacity? Thanks!
The lower shelf can easily hold a circular saw, drill, router and then some. I keep my Kreg Foreman which is around 20 pounds on the lower shelf of one table. My Ridgid spindle sander that is around 40 pounds on the lower shelf of the second table. Thanks for bringing this up. Sorry, I missed that in the video. Take care, Eric

I have a QuickBench and find it to be very useful, albeit not too sturdy. I stepped a little too heavily on the lower shelf while setting it up once and heard a distinct cracking sound. It still works, though.
From the couple videos I've seen, the Kreg product looks a lot sturdier and more capable. Can't wait to see one in person.

Really like the idea of these tables....but one huge problem with this whole system. There are WAY too many pieces that are not part of the table. I am extremely organized, but I dont like the idea of having those small pieces for the sacrificial board, the 2x4 brackets, dogs, etc. Anytime you add these type pieces to a piece of equipment that is used on a jobsite....well, its going to be an issue before long.
Does anyone know how much this table weighs? Was thinking to see if its strong enough for a welding table putting a sheet of metal on top
Dhc Trading , i was told about 45 lbs. My concern would be that the top is made of plastic. So you would have to come up with the metal top to cover the whole thing and you wouldn't really be able to weld on that top.
Some claim top is not flat. Kreg, please respond. I’m really considering this but...

One negative to the table and for a Kreg product surprising is that when open the table sections are not level! They sag ever so slightly..
So is that thing made out of solid lead, or did you run a mile to get to this video? =]

No, they don't feel short, to me. I'm 6' with shoes on. I find them to be a comfortable height. I've been using older Festool MFT tables, MFT/800 and MFT/1080 that are just a little bit taller then the Kreg tables. So I'm used to the height.

The side shots are much easier to see
I'm a homeowner who owns an apartment in NYC. I'm never buying a stud for any repairs I'm doing, shit, I'm a maintenance mechanic, and I do a Lot of varied stuff, pretty tough finding a wood stud laying around to make a saw horse top. C'mon guys, who's designjjng this stuff, pencil pushers?

Woodcraft. It's a Razorsaw-Japan Saw 240mm No. S-311 (info on the blade) I believe they run about $50.

This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
That top channel pinch point is dumb as fuck,nobody's got the time to make a wood piece to screw into the top. What if I ain't got a stud laying around? What if I'm not doing that type of work?
If you turn off the sound and do not let the words influence you, you can see what kind of garbage that is.
None of these benches seem to have a good way to clamp a pipe. Would be sweet wife these bench companies made one with a way to clamp pipe
