The KWS1000 Mobile Project Center offers a great solution to a portable work space. Kreg thought this one through and did a great job integrating their workbench, jigs, and clamping solutions into one system that works really well together.
Thanks to Kreg for providing a review sample. Наука
You provided some new information I hadn't seen yet and it really opened up my eyes to some added value of this system. I should have guessed that Kreg, even with their often high end pricing, tends to justify their it with thoughtful engineering and utility. Thanks for your efforts in explaining and demonstrating products well for our benefit. Cheers Mate!!
Thank you for an excellent, concise review. You cover features that are mostly ignored by others that take longer to not mention them.
I will be snagging one of these for sure! Nice review covered everything I needed to hear!!!
Thanks for the review. I've had mine for a few months and I learned some things I didn't know about this bench from your video.
Great review, thanks. I solved the handle problem by locking the bench clamp in the center of the t-track and using that as the handle. Works well moving around the shop and no risk of pinching.
Probably the best and unbiased review for this table. Thank you
Amazing review and video. You are the first one to show exactly all the features and integration of this bench. Most reviewers give a basic review but don't really put the features to use, or show exactly how they are integrated. Great job, I'm subscribing.
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
great review. i opened up five or six videos that review the workbench to watch. I watched yours, nice pacing, very informative. I closed all the other windows.
Nice, honest review. I enjoyed your walk-through of the features incorporated into the KWS1000.
Kudos for using bench dogs for K5 mount idea! Also I like how you present things: good tempo, clear wording, well organized videos.
Thanks!
I watched your review and decided to purchase one. So far so good. Thanks.
That tip for the pocket hole jig is awesome!
Great review. Seems like they have a well thought work bench/table. It definitely is in the running for me.
Very thorough review. Thanks for the upload!
Great review! I've seen a few on this product and like yours best. Looking forward to more.
Thanks!
Good job for your great review.
Excellent review. I own two. I live in a house with a 20 X 20 garage. I had to have the ability to stow my workbench, that is why I bought a second. I can make a large one with two 2X4'S and a sheet of 3/4 ply. If I wanted, it could be as long as the 2X4's and plywood. By the way, they do not recommend it for a scaffold. When not in use, the two Mobile Project Centers stand up against the wall and only take up 12" Additionally, I own an Adaptive Cutting System. With their accessory brackets, I can use one of my Project Centers, 2 2X4's and have a large surface to break down plywood. In conclusion, I love my two Mobile Project Centers, They are great for everything, especially if you have two.
Great review 👍 I’ll definitely buy one soon 😊
Great review. Well organized along with some neat tips and ideas. I especially like the plywood jig utilizing the bench dogs for the pocket hole jig you came up with
Harleymike/chicago
YES!! I luvitt too
This is awesome I love that you used it for several months before doing a review.
Excellent review!
Nice idea for the pocket hole jig I have my mounted on a board too just need to make holes to mount on the table.
Excellent review. Cheers.
Great job, i'm ordering one!
Great review! Thank you
One of the highest quality reviews I've seen. I look forward to going through the rest of your videos.
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Great review!
Super idea on mounting the K5 on plywood! Thanks! w
I bought two. Today I put a 2" sheet of foam on top and ripped 6" strips of plywood with my saw. They're durable, they're easily folded down to carry, they're capable of being used for many projects.
Great review. Was considering this table... your review pointed out several issues that would annoy me too much... so I will not be purchasing the table... THANK YOU for saving me $160. Will review other vids by you. I have subscribed.
Glad I could help!
No that’s what I call a damn good well done review. 👍✊😁
Thanks!
I think I will hold out for their tracksaw table.
With my 2x4’s, I put in t nuts and drilled the brackets for a larger bolt so it’s not necessary to screw into the wood when building a longer table.
Good video man
Great review l think this is a good mobile opinion l might just have to pick one up. Thanks for posting
Thanks! I'm eyeing the track horse now myself for setting up a sheet goods breakdown table with it, since I don't have room for a permanent one.
Great review, I was interested in this workbench but you explained the pros and cons in great detail...it's a pass for me, but amazing job on the video. Thanks this helped out a lot!
Glad I could help!
I love my work bench except my rubber feet have cracked and fallen off. Great review.
Ok, now is the time for kreg get this in STOCK!
Unfortunately I think they discontinued it.
Good job sir
Excellent review....just bought one... UKGUY
great review i love mine just wanted to let you know that you can hang the Kreg screw boxes on the outside rail thanks for the vid
Thanks for pointing that out, I forgot to mention it in the video!
Great, yeah I’ve been looking at this and kinda comparing to others like the WORX but I like KREG and just ordered two from Woodcraft so we’ll see how it goes!
How's it holding up?
@@isanna6075 Doing great, been using it a lot and very versatile,
@@TeamProsperity cool, thanks for the update👍
Thanks for the review. the one feature that bothers me the most is the top is not flat and I always seem to put a piece of plywood on top, so I can work on a flat surface.
I might try messing with the legs and maybe shim where the support arms lock in place to get rid of the 1/16" droop. If I figure out a good solution, I'll post an update.
Well Done!
Thanks!
Sold!
For carrying, could you flip it upside down? I like that the table wings fold down so it can be used as a saw horse. I just ordered two of these for myself for Christmas! I can't wait to get them!
Super helpful, thanks.
I've had my flexiclick for like 2 weeks now and I'm loving it 😅 thinking about getting the brushless one. Good review btw
I almost exclusively use my 12V Flexiclick and M12 Surge for all my home repair projects now. Love both of those little tools!
You can also hang Kreg screw boxes off the edge of the table.
I have always been happy with Kreg brand products. $160 doesn't sound bad for what you get. Seems a lot better than the Black & Decker garbage that is out there.
This thing (as are all quality products) costs 300$ in the philippines.. Sucks every tool is 2x the price, except cheap Chinese items, even those are more than they cost in the US.. I just got my first able saw, its the best readily available in the country. Everything else is junk. I got the bosch GTS J 10 jobsite saw.. Thats as good as i can get here...
How much it's it to have things shipped from the US?
Will wood glue or paint stick to the black plastic?
I would love one of these plus their track horse for my small workshop. It would make for a very versatile setup - but, here in France the work station is typically $250 and the track horse $170 which means they don't sell too well over here.
Wow, that's too bad - about a 50% price increase!
@@DoresoomReviews Kreg's router insert plate levellers - $19.99 on Kreg's website but $55 here - for four bits of plastic!
Thanks for the review. I like Kreg products in general, but they have raised the price on this thing to $250. Hard to justify it in my opinion, so I bought a
Worx one.
I just saw it for $169.00 on Amazon
The one thing I hate about the table. The rubber feet if caught while moving the table around will pull right off. I almost lost one moving around on the job site.
Another video addressed the lack of locking in the folder position His solution was a hitch pin through a dog hole. He was quite satisfied with the result. Most home centers have them or check out a Tractor Supply store.
Thanks for the heads up, sounds like an easy fix.
Carriage bolt and wing nut
I like this table but I think iam gonna go with pegasus cause it's lighter but not sure yet...I just wanna buy one for home use, just for whatever I need to cut something. What I like about kreg table though it's that u can clamp pretty much from any side.
I've heard good things about the Pegasus too, but haven't used it myself.
Can't believe I got suckered into one of these. It's not flat so can't be used as a clamping station. Lucky Kreg sell one of them to.
I put the T-track clamp in the center, clamp it to a piece of scrap, and use it as a carry handle.
I am 5' 11" and even I find those handholds in the bottom tray to be ridiculous.
That's a great idea!
Başarılı anlatım. Dilinizi bilmiyorum fakat görselden anladım
Do u think this will be better or the pegasus will do just for ocatio al user? Don't have a workshop, my garage is a game room and a gym and also don't work with wood but sometimes I fix stuff around house and need a table to cut something or whatever. The kreg looks more versatile than pegadus but a lot heavier.
I think you covered the big one - I prefer the Kreg's features, but the Worx is 25 lbs vs the Kreg's 40 lbs. Plus the Worx will store more compactly. If you're looking for something that will be stowed most of the time and only get occasional use, you might want to go with the Worx. Of course if you're anything like me, your workbenches will get covered in junk and you won't be able to put them away anyway! I have my Kreg on a mobile wheeled base in the basement for that reason!
@@DoresoomReviews Thank you for your great advice. Does the bottom of bench has threads to put casters, and do they get in the way if you wanna fold it?
No threads on the feet, I have it on a Bora mobile base. The feet sit right on the frame. I think it's this model: amzn.to/3fMnjeE
At 1:25, you pushed against against the unit from one side but I noticed that whenever you happened to exert force perpendicular to that, it appeared to wobble badly.
The maximum play can be seen at around 1:51 when I jump on top of it. Applying force in the perpendicular direction does cause the support arms on the wings to move a little, but the center and legs are still rock solid.
What's the height and weight of the bench. Thank you
31.5" high, 40 lbs
It does have a lot of neat add-ons. You missed is the lip around the edge for the Kreg screw boxes containers to hang off of. There are a few things that I really like about it, however several things I don't. You mentioned the pinch points. I have pinched my fingers in them a few times and man it hurts. Your idea about locking down the sides would help solve that. The other thing I really don't like about it is that that when you have both wings up, it's not a level surface across the top. If you're doing picture frames or something like that, this is not a good table. It's highly annoying. Overall, it's good but a bit overpriced in my opinion.
Good points all around!
Just got one on clearance at Lowes for $106!!
Same here, but being a part-timer, I scored mine for under $60!
@@extrememike9218 WOW! That's a crazy price!
Carriage bolt thru table holes and a wing nut. Boom tables locked down now pick up by table edge.
Great idea!
do I have to buy two?
No, it works fine as a single work table. I still only have one, but have been eyeing the track horse to expand the work surface since I just moved to a new house and have no workshop right now.
Is the top flat? Mine is shaped like a pup-tent.
I covered flatness in the video somewhere.
@@DoresoomReviews Thanks. I just watched the video. Yours is much better than mine. I have a full 1/4" difference from edge-to-edge, and because of this, I don't use it as a workbench... it's merely a table in my workshop I throw junk on.
Is it worth the price thou?
For the utility and ease of use, I think it is. Hopefully I have enough information in the review for everyone to make their own decisions on the cost/benefit.
😆🍻🍺👍🏻
Flip the platform upside down , you should be able to carry it fine
The autoclamp will only hold like a 3/4" board!!!!!!!!!
11
I really like this table BUT its a finger pinching mother! If it was under a $100 bucks with all the clamps Id buy it anyway. I'm out!
This item has been discontinued by Kreg.
I think they discontinued it right around the same time they moved a bunch of manufacturing to China.
man, i wish i could afford this kind of stuff heh. i need to stop looking at these types of videos, all my money goes to treatment when it should be going to my workshop! i'm gonna miss my tools
Why the stupid ad by Tina Kotek? Ruined my RUclips experience
