I heard this song in college when it first came out, late at night while parked in my car. It really hit me hard. The musical arrangement and the pain in her raspy voice. It's just as good now as when I first heard it. This is one of the most underrated songs out there, and should be included in any collection of great songs.

This great! Can't believe this track has never had the recognition it deserves.... it was the flip side of Bette Davis (on the single vinyl way back when) . I kept playing this sid einstead of the flip side that everyoe else was so enamoured with. Really romantic song....but then I'm a big ol' softie.

That this is one of the more overlooked and truly outstanding ballads of the late 70s/early 80s is undeniable but the best part of this video is watching Craig Kampf, behind his 10-piece monster of his stand-in-the-light white drum set, tap, tap, tapping. Classic! (btw, one of *the* great studio drummers of this era, as well....)
