I really liked this one - not being able to see is my greatest fear, and the tension of not knowing what comes next on the plate or who comes next for conversation was palpable for me.
I loved this too. I’m legally blind and at night I functionally totally blind. I identified with the server who was able to navigate the place perfectly because it was all set out and familiar. That’s also how I manage in the dark
This is more of a feelzpasta than a creepy one... And no, the ending doesn't spoil the rest of it. Sounds like a good deal to me. You get to talk to Those Long-Gone, and in exchange you give that same comfort to the friends who miss you.
@@wesleythomas7125 I completely agree as well as the death may have been a coincidence. A lot of people aren't able to get their affairs in order so knowing may be helpful. A double edged sword knowing, of course.
@@DidYouSayEllo However I find it is, you eat you die. That's the "price". His wife had the flier, so I 'read' it as she went to one before dying. Still, it doesn't sound like he was going to life a long happy life anyway. Probably worked out for him, in a macabre sense.
It is a story of closure. The darkness, is the deprive the other senses and allow the mind and whatever else to work with the food being the catalyst to help aid in the closure. Whether those people were actually there or not is irrelevant. It is what our protagonist needed.
Also I’d like to think that the reason he died so soon was because he now knows Rosalie is out there somewhere and was willing to end his life in order to be with her again. Which is understandable.
This felt like more of a feelspasta than a creepypasta right up until the end, I was wondering why it was supposed to be creepy until it was revealed that you have to die to pay for the meal. I mean, is he going to die soon BECAUSE he attended the restaurant, or did he find the restaurant because he was going to die soon? Or is your life expectancy totally unrelated and you can still die weeks, months, years after you go and everything is unrelated to going to the restaurant? The creepy factor lies in the uncertainty of that. Great pasta either way!
There's a dark restaurant near me. You can always tell who's just been there. Food all round their mouths and chins, fresh food stains down their fronts, maybe even an eye patch where they've stabbed them selves with a fork. Ive never been myself, but like the protag of this tale, I'd recommend not going.
How do you miss your mouth and hit your eye? XD I barely look at my fork/spoon while eating, and mostly focus on conversation and the folks at the table. I assume most people do the same, and that eating is mostly automatic.
Oh wow, that was intense! Praise to the author, an absolutely original piece of work that I’ve never heard anything similar to it before. That in itself is an accomplishment! And to do it so well, written perfectly, and narrated by one of the best there is! Great job! 👍👍👍👍
“My fiancé died…I was a mess for a few weeks after” A few WEEKS? That was the most unrealistic part of the story for me. When my best friend died, I was a wreck for, well, I suppose I still am. Not as bad as I was years ago, but I still miss her every day. As the years go on, through my marriage and the divorce, I only grew to miss her more, miss all that could have been, everything we should have had. I don’t believe in an interventionist god…but I hope I see you again TMJP. Not a day goes by that I wouldn’t pay any price for one more minute with you.
Right like.. it's been have a year since my dog was killed and I still have to fight not to burst out in tears when I accidentally scroll by her pics in my camera roll. Man's was feeling meh about his wife after a few weeks? Lol
This kind of hit home with me. I experienced the death of a loved one for the first time at age 8. Since then, death and I have become too familiar. I've lost 26 people so far in my life and I'm only 52 years old. My entire family is gone, grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, several friends. I'm blessed with a wonderful wife of 32 years now, 4 children who are now grown, and 5 grandchildren. Still, I miss my family every day.
Seriously tho the purpose of this restaurant is to make you overcome your dislikes for certain foods While its dark they will serve you your most disliked meal or food and the lights need to be out because most people dont wanna eat food based on looks Then you eat it Its a success if you overcome it I may be talking about something else though
