Thanks for sharing. I inherited one from my late father and I believe it is a slightly earlier version of the Ranger 50. It's all orange and was very dirty, but after a good clean and service it ran beautifully. The freshly sharpened chain cut a decent load of firewood which consisted of very dry Australian hardwood - not a problem it's a Husky.

Great video! I remember tearing one of those down to the bare crankshaft, I want to say in 1985, tons of parts in that model.

nice work on getting her running again! Man, there's nothing worse, than messing with a recoil spring. I was working on an old weedeater one time, and this was before i knew anything about the coil springs, and that sucker went swoosh and completely unwound itself and flung all over the place.

Just a good reliable old firewood saw. Very high quality saws. Definitely better made than modern 'farm and ranch' clamshell saws.
Nothing fantastic to run performance wise but not underpowered either.

How not to fix chainsaws 😂😂
Buy an air compressor. Use it to clean your saws and bar oilers out. Buy some gloves so you don’t cut your fingers on the bar.
