Love how your garden is coming along. We all have to start somewhere and you have had an amazing start. Remember to use a good tomato feed.😀

    You are doing VERY well.
I didn’t realize this was your first year. I just clicked on the video the moment I saw it was about building a homestead in a trailer park.
I watch a lot of videos about large homesteading. However seeing smaller growing areas is WAY more relatable than the bigger homesteads.
I already subscribed and will continue to watch your videos.
However I do have 1 issue. Your kids. They are adorable. I wish we could see more of them.
    😊❤

Looks like you have some mullein plants growing in the chicken yard. I'm not sure if you use herbs for your family but she is a wonderful plant to have on hand.

Lupin is so beautiful! I planted some last year and it never bloomed it got shaded out by some other things. So nice to have the oregano come up by itself! I’m dreaming of a big garden too… some day! Try sprinkling a little cayenne in the bed maybe it will keep the dogs out. Last year our dog climbed in our 3 foot beds and rolled.. You’ve got quite a bit going on thanks for sharing!

Oooh that’s a great idea about the cayenne!! I’ll try anything at this point, so frustrating lol! Thank you so much for the sweet comment ❤️

Hello, hopefully you don’t have predators that can get your chickens. Chicken wire is used to keep chickens in not real secure for them. ❤ Your plants are doing great

    • @TheHopesAndOurDreams
      @TheHopesAndOurDreams  3 месяца назад +1

      Thank you! ❤️
We haven’t had any predators but our yard is fenced in, chickens get locked in their coop at night and we also have a very large guardian dog protecting the flock. But I definitely plan to make upgrades over time :)

Nice that you are trying to do some gardening in your little space thats available…but after seeing so many “homestead” channels…starting to wonder what actually is a homestead these days. Your kids are cutes and nice you are giving them a little taste of nature and growing things

Thank you!! I’m so glad so many people are trying to be more self sufficient with what they have to work with! We hope to keep learning and growing and maybe one day have a bigger property :)

Swiss Chard, mustard leaf and kale grow well in the shade. Korean radish also grow wherever you plant them on the ground. Tomatoes are frustrating so I gave up on them. Leafy greens and korean radishes are much easier and will provide food quicker.

    • @TheHopesAndOurDreams

Ooh thank you for the tips!! I love Swiss chard!! I’ll pick some up this week and start it right away!!

Tomatoes are easy for me to grow. Radishes are nearly impossible for me. 😂
