Fun info on the Great Wheel. It has AC and heat for whatever time of year you are visiting.

It's not PIKES Place. It is PIKE Place. Its because it is on Pike Pl. If you had a farmers market on Broadway Ave. You might call it Broadway Market. Not Broadways Market. Super touristy but definitely worth it.

I went to Seattle last year for the first time and really enjoyed myself. I actually did a good tour at Pike Place which was wonderful. Tried some excellent Mac and Cheese, chowder and more. And if I remember correctly, the gum wall started with local performers at the production spot in Post Alley putting their gum there.

I learned that later on as well. It actually only goes back to the 1990s. There is one in San Luis Obispo, CA that I believe goes back to the 1950s

I remember seeing Pike's Place Market many years ago on a tv show and I've always wanted to go for a visit. Though I'm not sure how I feel about that gum wall. Would have to try the wharf wheel and the best hotdog in Seattle. The waterfall garden seemed nice and peaceful.

Definitely would like to visit Seattle in the future if I can. Was on the list when i last visited the US but just couldn't squeeze it in. The market is massive and looks amazing and fish tossing should be an Olympic Sport! But the wall of gum.... less enticing to be fair! great views from above! Love a good wheel but still not close to being sold on 'clam chowder'!
