The Police were an English rock band formed in London in 1977. Within a few months of their first gig, the line-up settled as Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, and remained unchanged for the rest of the band's history. The Police became globally popular in the late 1970s and early to mid 1980s.

Love it, 7 o'clock Thursday night, Saw this tour at the Manchester arena in 2009 as well, Also remember Roxanne. What a band they were back in the day😁😁😁😁😁 with the early Jam as well, Down in the tube station at midnight.❤❤❤

The name comes from Stoat Copelands dad, he worked for the CIA, hence The Police

I saw Sting in concert at Summerfest back in the 80’s. This brings me back to my teen years, when The Police was one of my favorite bands! Thanks for the great reaction!

I love iiittt...... I remember listening to this early The Police song and having a big influence on it to me.
And anyway, Dear Dad, I'd like to know what you thought of Dashiy when you listened to the Buzzcocks' "What Do I get?" or "Ever Fallen In Love... (With Someone shouldn't’ve)" Other songs expressed by Buzzcocks are also acceptable.
By the way, a memorial garden was recently opened in Leigh, Greater Manchester, the hometown of Pete Shelley, who passed away in Tallinn, Estonia in December 2018. I made a small donation to the project.

I’ll start with saying they sound great before I complain😅
The phrasing on the lyric “message in the bottle “ was different . It kept throwing me off. I don’t know why but it bugged me a bit 😂
