Hand working needs time, shaping needs skill. You showed us both, thank you 🙏 Greetings from France 🇫🇷.
I was contemplating restoring knives as well. Thanks for showing me your process.Liked
Great video guys! As a sharpener it's so nice to see a video showing how arduous the ground work can be. Too many highlight reels out there showing a snappy progression through stones capped off with some quick finishing work on a pretty stone.
Thank you so much! This was the main idea for this series to show the reality of hand sharpening.
The skill and time it takes to get it right is incredible.
Thank you so much! Our goal is to give a deeper understanding of this type of work and what goes into it.
Woo that sound! Sure it’s grinding metal. I hope i will try that stone sure its fun to use 😍
Yes! The lower grit NSK Kogyo stones are very aggressive and fun to use.
thank you for making this series...i waited a long time to see Ivan's work and progression in more detail
Thank you, yes Ivan is pretty private about his work but after many requests to show more of his process we decided this was the right time.
Amazing work! Thank you for sharing your craft. What type of work lights are you using? Thank you
Thank you! I use Yamada Z-Light Z-208PROB
Thank you for sharing your insights into your process. This series is one that I'm the most excited about.
Thanks Jonathan! It’s been fun to share the process of sharpening this type of knife.
That is an incredible video 👏👏
Thank you so much! We have more coming🔥
