A video review of the JBL TUNE 600 Noise cancelling bluetooth headphones. I wanted the best wireless headphones you can buy without overspending. I’m using the popular Beats Solo 3 as a benchmark. My beats solo 3 only work in one ear. My Beats lasted 16 months before the left earphone failed despite costing a premium of over £200. Are your beats solo broken too? Comment..
This time I set out to buy something of the same or better quality without getting influenced by fancy packaging and marketing. See how my replacement wireless headphones measure up at just £85 or around 100 dollars US. Asking yourself why my beats solo wireless only work in one ear ? Comment if you'd like to see a beats solo fix video. Thanks..

Good comparison. I'm surprised the beats fell apart so quickly.

Wow I looked up 200 pounds to SGD and its around $350. At that price range I would rather get the sennhiser HD 4.50 BT.
Anyways after owning a pair of JBL T600BTNC for about 2 months I would say they are one of the better travel headphones. The NC can be used with a headphone jack as well and bluetooth does not need to be turned on. Using it this way I got about 35hrs which is nice.
The irony is that because of the natural sound leakage of its on ear nature it lets you hear announcements and be able to talk to other close by people with the NC turned on. As such you can just use the NC feature without playing any music and read a book while on the train and still listen for your stop.
The sound is a tad too bassy for me but it can be fixed with a little EQing. Otherwise its a very clear headphone for its price range.
tl:dr The JBL Tune 600 BTNC is good as a travel headphone esp if they are on sale at ~65pounds converted that I got them at.

Wow! detailed comment. Thanks. I'm sure others will find useful too. Yep I often sit in the garden when the traffic is busy with no music but just the JBL ANC turned on.

We like shiny!!! Lol so do I.
    Great comparison, good job!
So I recently bought a pair and really like them, I can't however find information on how well they hold up during exercise.
Like am I safe sweating in them or do I risk damaging then? Any info would be cool.
    Thanks.

Thanks. I've not tried exercising in them, but maybe someone else will comment on that. I still have and use them today, but only wired. When not using the power cable, they are not great for channel/video surfing, as the auto power down cannot be disabled, and turns off after a few seconds of silence. Then you have to mess about trying to establish a new bluetooth connection. That's been difficult to live with, I wouldn't recommend them now.

And 2 weeks ago I found a brand new pair of Jabra headphones..
    I’m raking it in!

i have tune 500bt from 3 yrs and they are very good.. bass battery 12-14 h.. i crush them everyday.. on the ship and in switzerland very strong they are from 40 euro what i pay.. now i am thinking to buy 510bt or 600bt what do you think?

    • @UHOOHEXTRATECH
      @UHOOHEXTRATECH  2 года назад

Depends what you use them for. I only use my 600BTs nowadays as wired headphones, because they loose connectivity so quickly for power saving. Doesn't even allow me a few moments to choose a new track or video to watch. Then reconnecting to bluetooth is a chore and time-consuming. This renders them useless as bluetooth headphones for me.

I had JBL BT500, then started to looking for noise cancellation headphones. the problem I have is that I use eyewear so I can only use on ear type headphones. and also need them for work so its basically 8 hours per day on headphones..now I bought those JBL BT600NC and they are absolutelly amazing. you can really feel the difference if you are surrounded with alot of noise, they take you to another world. at the beginning they are tight on head but after time you get used to it and its perfect. built quality is almost the same as 500BT ..so...why to spend more on Beats, Sony, Bose...from on ear type there are only Beats Solo Pro and those..but Beats cost for 3 of those JBL.

I would contact beats regarding your headphones and get a replacement cuz you're under warranty which I'm sure you probably did already I'm just saying!

Don't remember if they were still covered. They disintegrated even more so went in the bin. The most expensive disposal product I've ever purchased. Thanks for suggestion though. Appreciated.

My wife asked for the Beats Solo for her birthday. I bought it for her. I bought the JBL TUNE600BTNC for myself. And what can I say, the beats suck. My JBL's sound a lot better than the beats. And the beats are three times as expensive. They're not the only beats I've tested either, and in my opinion the first beats were total shit and the later ones too. Dr. Dre ripped off his fans from the start. Sad that they don't notice. But that's just my opinion, buy the beats if you want. I'm staying with JBL.

Jbl and Beats have pretty much the same philosophy: All bass and treble and no mids. Beats Solo Pro and Powerbeats pro are the only beats that actually sound really accurate and well balanced. But other beats are now pretty good too. The problem is most people expect huge bass from Beats which is simply not the case anymore. I tried many jbl headphones and they are far from neutral sounding. They sound fun with v shaped sound but they aren’t really better than beats. I would argue if you look at the frequency response graphs beats are more neutral than jbl headphones and have better tech inside(w1/h1 chip). So while jbl win the value category , beats don’t suck at all. They are overpriced sure. But they are great wireless headphones nonetheless
