She's super independent, really respectful of my privacy and overall very chill. I never felt like I needed to buy her things back when I was broke. In fact, she bought me a birthday gift and sent me money when I was pennyless! So now when I buy her stuff, I know it's because I want to, and she would do the same for me.

The covering up thing is the same with MOST asian women. Even Indonesia. I've heard it's because it makes asian skin go darker and the darker you are, the more you look like a peasant farmer. And they try to avoid that. I always think seeing girls faces covered in that skin whitening cream looks funny. It does reflect some current social phenomenon and trends but tends to intensify and generalise it as they said. However some positive sides are overlooked such as Chinese women are more and more independent- they can take good care of themselves without men but also take care of their partners with attention and details, sometimes gifts and surprises too hey! Ok, I think you nailed some of the common things you see when you first date a chinese girl. The purse, the gifts, the we chat addictions, the importants of a stable job. But i would call this the first stage, once you get past this part, you will see allot more. Loyalty, pride for you, dedication, the need to pamper you, her love for her and your family, her capability to save money (if you get a good one). You just have to get past stage one, and of course, you have to find a good one. There is always rotten apples in the bunch, avoid them.

They also live in Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar and Indonesia. And like all races, are spread across the world. I dated a Chinese girl for a while (recently broken up sadly. Disclaimer: white guy here). But yes, she was nothing like the stereotypes shown in the video (well, except the sun=satan thing was definitely true lol). She was fantastic, and not nearly as materialistic, money-obsessed or self-centred. She liked when I got her gifts, especially cute ones, but she never expected them, and always wished to keep things even (ie. getting me a gift in return, treating me for dinner after I treated her, etc.). And she was never jealous (we agreed that we were fine talking to members of the opposite sex, or even checking out cute/hot guys/girls so long as we both got to check them out haha). For the video itself, it's not meant to be taken seriously, it's just for fun, so neither myself, or my ex for that matter, would likely take offence from it or take it literally.

My wife grew up in China, but only a few things applied to her. She loves to take pictures of everything and will avoid the sun like the plague. We also had pretty serious talks near the beginning of our relationship, which honestly felt great to get out of the way. I knew we were on the same page with important life styles and choices, so I felt more at ease getting to know her and not wonder if she'll have some massive deal-breaker deep into the relationship.

It is not difficult, if you are a guy who likes to work really hard, have ambition, and likes to make the big decisions , your Chinese wife/girlfriend will support you all the way and make sure everything else is taken care of. They will not nag you about working 60 hours a week then going to play tennis or golf on Saturday morning. They will take care of everything and, they are taught to be independent and look after their man. A good combo in my opinion .

I think I'm good to answer this question since I'm half Moroccan and half Lebanese:). Every Arabic country is different of course. Both Lebanon and morocco are two of the more liberal countries in the Arab world. But Lebanon moreso. In Lebanon, there is a big emphasis on personal image. Lebanese like to look good and take pride in doing so. It is also more of european mindset than other Arabic countries. Of course, every case is different but as you know the culture you grow up in plays a big role in shaping who you are. So to answer your question, this difference you notice is a result of the different environment and culture these women grow up in.

This was hard to watch. I think a bit more research is needed. Very little accuracy in most of what you see in this vid. A lot of the scenarios is dependent on the person, not because she's Chinese. I had a feeling this was going to be bad. Westerners still have no clue at all regarding Asians and their culture. The girl didn't even look Chinese let alone her awful non Chinese, but very Malaysian accent. Totally breaks immersion and brings down the supposed authenticity of the message the vid is trying to get across.
I think this represents part of young Chinese girls. Especially which are born in south China big cities. Not all Chinese girls are like this. Chinese men show love indirectly but can be very gentle to women and take care of women a lot. Chinese women are serious in relationships so they like to test men’s attitudes in indirect way. For carrying girls beg it happened more in south China . Many stuffs in Chinese girl’s bag it would be quite heavy and south girls are small. So some Chinese guys would help to let girls free to do shopping and not be tired. For other countries they don’t have these traditions therefore they feel shocked. But believe me. Most of Chinese girls are traditional and are very good wives and mothers after marriage.

Ok, I think you nailed some of the common things you see when you first date a chinese girl. The purse, the gifts, the we chat addictions, the importants of a stable job. But i would call this the first stage, once you get past this part, you will see allot more. I dated a Chinese girl for a while (recently broken up sadly. Disclaimer: white guy here). But yes, she was nothing like the stereotypes shown in the video (well, except the sun=satan thing was definitely true lol). She was fantastic, and not nearly as materialistic, money-obsessed or self-centred. She liked when I got her gifts, especially cute ones, but she never expected them, and always wished to keep things even (ie. getting me a gift in return, treating me for dinner after I treated her, etc.). And she was never jealous (we agreed that we were fine talking to members of the opposite sex, or even checking out cute/hot guys/girls so long as we both got to check them out haha). My wife grew up in China, but only a few things applied to her. She loves to take pictures of everything and will avoid the sun like the plague. We also had pretty serious talks near the beginning of our relationship, which honestly felt great to get out of the way. I knew we were on the same page with important life styles and choices, so I felt more at ease getting to know her and not wonder if she'll have some massive deal-breaker deep into the relationship.

I avoid the sun, make my husband hold my purse, take pics of everything, love food, get jealous sometimes (never went through my man's phone though 😬) and REALLY into skincare (I don't wear makeup except lipstick) 😂

It is not difficult, if you are a guy who likes to work really hard, have ambition, and likes to make the big decisions , your Chinese wife/girlfriend will support you all the way and make sure everything else is taken care of. They will not nag you about working 60 hours a week then going to play tennis or golf on Saturday morning. They will take care of everything and, they are taught to be independent and look after their man. A good combo in my opinion .

I think I'm good to answer this question since I'm half Moroccan and half Lebanese:). Every Arabic country is different of course. Both Lebanon and morocco are two of the more liberal countries in the Arab world. But Lebanon moreso. In Lebanon, there is a big emphasis on personal image. Lebanese like to look good and take pride in doing so. It is also more of european mindset than other Arabic countries. Of course, every case is different but as you know the culture you grow up in plays a big role in shaping who you are.
So to answer your question, this difference you notice is a result of the different environment and culture these women grow up in.

She's from Yunnan; that's so far south she might as well be Malaysian or Singaporean. Also, you do realize the whole "la" thing originates from Southern Chinese dialects. Malaysian and Singapore didn't invented it, they, or more correctly the British, imported it.

This was hard to watch. I think a bit more research is needed. Very little accuracy in most of what you see in this vid. A lot of the scenarios is dependent on the person, not because she's Chinese. I had a feeling this was going to be bad. Westerners still have no clue at all regarding Asians and their culture. The girl didn't even look Chinese let alone her awful non Chinese, but very Malaysian accent. Totally breaks immersion and brings down the supposed authenticity of the message the vid is trying to get across.

I think this represents part of young Chinese girls. Especially which are born in south China big cities. Not all Chinese girls are like this. Chinese men show love indirectly but can be very gentle to women and take care of women a lot. Chinese women are serious in relationships so they like to test men’s attitudes in indirect way. For carrying girls beg it happened more in south China . Many stuffs in Chinese girl’s bag it would be quite heavy and south girls are small. So some Chinese guys would help to let girls free to do shopping and not be tired. For other countries they don’t have these traditions therefore they feel shocked. But believe me. Most of Chinese girls are traditional and are very good wives and mothers after marriage.
