It's so therapeutic watching you doing gardening and flowers gathering! Take my mind off the current US elections and social issues! Bravo for abseiling down the church tower!! The view at the top must be amazing!!!
Well done on the abseil 👏🏼 I abseiled down Battersea Power Station before they renovated it, to raise money for Cancer Research UK. It was incredible and something I’ll never forget on that iconic building with the most amazing view ❤
We do have them in the US but they are sold at pet shops as pets. I’m with Charlie regarding the steps in these old buildings. I have the same issue. The church is beautiful! You two are so cute! ❤😊
Okay I literally had butterflies from the moment you began to ascend the stairs! Oh my gosh I can see why Charlie was worried about the stairs. I felt claustrophobic just watching you 😬😳 well done both of you!!
I love that you guys “talk the dogs” and they even have separate voices. My husband and I talk our cats. Maybe as a result, our cats are very vocal and love human attention.
Congratulations Josie and Charlie, how brave and wonderful you both are, you truly are the loveliest couple there in the Cotswolds, mom and furry babies. Which makes the Cotswolds and even nicer place to visit, love the house, the garden, all what you do.❤️💐
You and Charlie were so brave to do such a scary feat Josie! Good for you. I did this down a mountain in the US, but here it’s called rock rappelling. So thoughtful of you both to do this for the restoration work on your lovely local church. ❤️
It would be adorable to see a styling session with you and Charlie together!!! We don't have hedgehogs in America, but we do have porcupines, which are kind of similar in appearance, but not nearly as cute, and their barbed quills will stick in a dog's nose if they get too close, and have to be yanked out with pliers.
My heart was in my mouth watching you both abseil . Fantastic accomplishment for you both to put in your wee book of personal goals that you smashed. ♥️ Would love to see a Holland Cooper co-lab with Charlie. The clothes wear so well and are such good quality.
I've watched a ton of RUclips videos that talks about femininity and how to be feminine and all...but i must say you are certainly one of the most feminine ladies I've seen on these RUclips streets.....you embody it and live it out and I'm thankful for the day i discovered your channel through @DrMichelleDaf's channel. You have and live a very robust life, and i enjoy watching you. Lots of love to you from Nigeria my darling 😘.
What caring people you are and so brave, we had a hedgehog in our garden Tuesday night, our dog found it, just gave it food n water n she toddled off 😊
Hi Josie wow so proud of you and Charlie how brave you both were! I was sitting drinking tea and my legs went to jelly! I suffer from claustrophobia so get Charlie and not keen on heights 😱 just imagine you will be sitting in your garden looking at your church and think 🤔 gosh we came down from that tower 👏 you made history and the church has always been so beautiful 🤩 so worth saving/repairing 🫶😘xx
Oh my, I held my breath each time you both went down. Wonderful video. I so enjoy your content. I love your travel content because I will never be able to go the places you visit. You make it feel like we are there too! My flowers did well this spring and summer thanks to you Josie❤
We have hedgehogs in America. I had one for my indoor pet during university years. They are very lovable and fun. Maybe Harold will come indoor for a visit when the boys are napping.
If all the well off people in your area donated the equivalent of a weekly spend on their fun "essentials", I bet the church tower would be fixed in no time.
Yes! I was a bit taken aback when she called for a fundraiser from her subscribers. I thought the Cotswold District was an elite group of people with plenty of cash. Hmm?
Such a foolish thing to say. Even so - she only posted this because people like to contribute to things. Weird to be upset she’s raising the money - she’s not forcing people.
@@mercedes523 plenty of ordinary people live there too - not everyone is wealthy. Also not everyone involved in the church so less likely to contribute, all the little villages and towns in that area will have old churches that are slowly crumblig away.
Congratulations on abseiling 😊 and to Charlie for overcoming his claustrophobia on the stairs. I would keep the dogs away from the hedgehog 🦔 as the hogs tend to have fleas. Speaking from experience!😢
Well done josie and Charlie you were both amazing abseiling down the church thank you for a lovely video as always very professional love watching them and your beautiful style in clothes and make up xx
I live in the US and my sister had a hedgehog (Penelope, she was so sweet) as a pet when we were younger. It isn’t an animal that we have running around outside though. However, we have groundhogs, chipmunks, and squirrels.
How fabulous attending the Thyme Brocante. Excellent to be able to dry your herbs and enjoy them later in the season. Many congratulations to you both in a fantastic achievement of Abseiling down your Church. Holland and Cooper have amazing styles and superb detailing on all their collections. Thank you for sharing ❤
Honestly, the things you get up to! You really are a brave woman, unsinkable and intrepid! I’ll try to remember that next time I’m watching you boating around Capri or getting a massage or some bratty treatment. You’re the most!
Well done to you both on the abseiling challenge. I’m quite claustrophobic and like Charlie, the narrow, closed in stair case would have been daunting for me. Amazing to push through it, it’s no easy task 🫣
Yes, we have many, many hedgehogs in America, at least here in New York’s Hudson Valley. They have created a “condominium complex” in my back field with multiple entrances. We don’t know if they have installed air conditioning, but we’re fairly certain that they have an indoor pool, underground of course. They live quite well here. New babies every spring…and a joy to share our land with them. Lots of laughs making up stories about their lives, especially since they no longer eat my perennial garden plants.
This was a phenomenal vlog Josie! Congratulations 🎉 to you and Charlie on your ascension down the church! That was magnificently inspiring to watch! Your vlogs just keep getting better each time I watch them, they’re high quality content that’s easy to see that you’ve put a great deal of thought into. 💖✨👸🏼
24:20 Other medieval traditions you could try? I just took a course in *medieval plant dyeing* ! Dyeing fabric or yarn using plants. There are so many different plants you could use! Birch for example - the leaves gives a yellow colour, while the wood gives a browny colour. Plant dyeing had a comeback in the 70s, and it's becoming more popular again now. The basic principle is you boil the fabric together with the plant. Different plants results in different colours! How cool would it be to have a few decorative pillows that you dyed in your very own kitchen, using plants from your own garden or the local area?
Well, I really enjoyed this Vlog. So the herb drying process is interesting in the upper part of your older home- great beams! I have dried herbs in a covered shed outside - too much moisture, takes awhile. I love the flower bouquet you took to your hosts - pastel beauties. Dickens is the cutest, fluffiest speckled assistant in this Vlog. I loved when Charlie swung him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes!! His therapy dog! Adorable.🥰 Both of you should be proud of the abseiling accomplishment on the church tower , without one lesson! Beautiful old church inside and the bell and clock “rooms” are magnificent. There’s nothing like historical architecture. The Sunday roast dinner was lovely & looked delicious! No one should leave hungry from that restaurant! I believe I would fall asleep on the way home with all that lovely dinner. BTW we do not have the cute hedgehog in America. We have a groundhog, which is a greens eating large roly- poly rodent in towns , woods, etc. and then a prairie dog, which burrows and lives out west on prairie or plains , squirrel- like and they “ bark”. The Holland Cooper items are classy, traditional, very nice. I did not know of this brand until watching your channel. Sort of reminds me of a horse ware brand with a little Ralph Lauren mixed in. Take care Josie & Charlie- stay safe & warm.😊
I cannot believe you rappelled down your church's tower--eeeeekkk! It was quite fascinating to see the route up to the tower and how worn the stone stairs were in places. There's very little in the way of architecture that old in America, that's for sure!
We have had hedgehogs for last 3 years so we built a house and a feeding box so they feel safe ..we get foxes and cats passing through our garden and they would eat the food..some hogs like the hedgehog food and some like the sachets of dog food we set up a trail camera and its good to watch them coming and going through the night
55:10 the gold really sparkles and the roll neck/skirt looks effortless. I'd love to see a his/her Holland Cooper try on clip it would give some more in depth tips for gifts especially with holidays not too far in the distant future.
Spent my birthday in the Cotswolds on Monday got soaked walking around broadway,I hoped I might bump into you at Dalesford would of been the icing on the cake.❤
You absolute Super Stars! Well Done to you both! I’m with Charlie on the narrow stairs Ugh! I’m ok if there’s nobody in front or behind me! I need an escape route😂
Oh wow🤩 how spectacular, Josie. The drone footage of the church was just incredible, and you were very brave! Really loved the colours of your outfits and makeup in this vlog too. You really suit the autumn colours 💗
When you mentioned in a previous vlog that you were asked if you wanted to do this - I thought you said “Ad selling”!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Imagine my surprise when I saw you all suited up helmet and all!
Wowza! you are both so so brave, facing your fears. I get so scared of heights so would have found it impossible to do. But a very worthy cause. In Australia we have echidnas and bandicoots. They do dig too and bring in ticks so I don’t encourage them. 👏
I would Scotchgard (water proof) the puffer jacket, it will save the down from getting wet. I am short and it really helps to see you in outfits I can see how the fit and proportions look. Congrats on your mountaineering !
Josie at 51:50 you flipped us all off 😂😂 Had to pause and go back and check lol. Loved seeing the inside of the church and your abseil, you guys are so brave! Well done 👏👏
Congratulations Josie & Charlie with the Abseiling down your Church 🙌 i have fear of heights. So definitely not for me 😨. Great video 🥰 we just had on Friday Storm Aitro hit us the amount of Rain that fell was amongst 😮 . Have a lovely weekend 🥰
There are hedgehogs in the US, but they are not native to the US and I believe they’re more prevalent in certain regions. One of my favorite essays from John Green’s Anthropocene Reviewed is about the hedgehog that moved into his garden. After trying many methods of keeping her out of his vegetable garden he created a little plot to make a garden just for her. He would sow a few leftover seeds of whatever he was planting in his own beds in her garden area and she was happy enough with her own little plot that she didn’t bother his beds anymore ❤️
Love the antique fair ! I would say our equivalent off the top off my head here in Montecito CA would be a opossum but I might me wrong lol congrats on working on such a lovely cause 😊
