You know what I like about Regina's character here? She is no longer making fun of Cady but actually laughing and going along with the math teacher banter. I think a part of Regina *_actually saw Cady as her friend_* so when she found out about the Kalteen bars, she absolutely lost it. There's also the look Regina gives her at the table when Karen and Gretchen tell her she can longer sit with them. When Cady does not defend her, she looks quite hurt.
Regina def was hurt and had emotions the entire movie, she jus had money and flashy things and attitude to hide behind. The whole film is jus about perception. Its brilliant. How do you want to be percieved or hide? But based on teen life!

We Are Fairy Tail Exactly. An F is either not doing anything or getting everything wrong. She should've gotten a higher grade than that. A C sounds fair.
Yeah but guys you're forgetting the "no child left behind" policy that put unreasonably high standards on all grading and tests... the school and classes might have a set average all students must make, which cannot be met with just getting a series of C-marks...
Plus, the way math works, you basically have do do like 5-10 lines of work before getting to the answer. Imagine doing all the work right, and just doing 2+2=3 at the end and getting an F
That is funny. Either she has weak muscles, just making it easy for her, or she's lifting for the first time in her life. A 5 year old could lift a pound or so.
She had no idea it would ever be seen by anyone but the girls in the wrong. Not defending her, but that’s a bit different from spreading nasty rumours about the school. It was more like venting and lying to your friends more than anything.
This is seriously the best scene in the movie, in my opinion. I feel like it’s scripted and played so well. It really captures how easy it is to fall into high school gossip and exaggerations when we feel mistreated and undignified in front of people, even if that’s not the case. The pacing, the tones, the whole scene, really 👏👏👏
I also really like how it’s positioned as the point of no return for Cady! Before all of this, she’s just dressed like the plastics and hung around them, never fully giving into social pressure. Until this scene, where she can’t accept not being like everyone else, even at the expense of her marks. The burn book is Cady figuratively signing her soul to the devil
If I had a teacher like her, I would never ever treat her how Cady did, I would actually become her friend, listen to her, joke with her, talk with her, go out, etc, she’s a sweet genuine person, who doesn’t want that in a friend ?
Cady was the “only one” that knew about the divorce situation. So when when the teacher mentioned it out loud looking at cady later in the movie she was hitting at that. It’s actually really sad.
0:36 - What was Ms. Norbury’s third job? Her first job is being a math teacher at North Shore High School. Her second job is being a bartender at PJ Calamity’s. But her third job was never revealed. I wonder what it could be? Considering her skill with the piano during the Christmas pageant, maybe piano teacher?
I don't think she meant queer as in "gay". Cady was the homeschooled jungle freak remember. She didn't even know that "shut up" was an expression and not a command. Queer to her just meant strange...and besides teens didn't say queer back then.
Accusing someone of being a drug dealer is very serious. What Cady did was slander. Calling your teacher names is one thing, but saying they're selling drugs is too far. Cady was pressured a little into writing that.
Another thing to note: Cady confides her feelings in the Plastics, the “fake” friends that she’s supposed to be only pretending to like to help Janis, instead of her “real friends” Janis and Damian. Is it because she’s beginning to feel more like a part of the Plastic world than their world? Is she beginning to forget it’s supposed to be fake? Is she getting more comfortable with the Plastics than she used to be? Is she less comfortable with Janis and Damian than before? Thoughts...

How many people raised their hand in response to the question "How many of you have ever felt personally vicitimsed by Regina George?" Besides, Janis had gotten bored with the scheme by the time the 'word vomit' started.
***** Really? A math teacher fails her because she's trying to dumb herself down to talk to a guy and still says to her "I know you're smarter than this", and then she goes and makes up a rumor that she sells drugs - somethings that could have her fired, arrested and probably stop her from ever working at any type of a school ever again, and then she adds insult to injury by saying that it's "to pay for her pathetic divorce".
