I encountered werebears during night time just outside of raven rock, up the hill. I have ordinator installed, so my auto mage armor spell triggered, but for some reason I didn't see anything, it was near pitch black. So I continued walking in the direction of the reaver camp. Combat music was still playing, so I looked back, just to make sure. And then I saw it, three shades walking around like CREATURES at the spot I was 5 seconds before, and they were still looking for me, I instantly duck and hid behind a tree, the sneak meter still showing a partially opened eye. I hid like a milk drinker and was legit afraid because I found out I was out of arrows.

I have a mod that lets me be Wolverine with healing, ridiculously powerful claws, and a rage ability. I never use it for serious playthroughs but I actually want to see how it'd stack up against the Werebear pack.
I ran into those three Werebears, didn't realize what they were until they began to transform...then the race was on lol...my dude a Werewolf, began his transformation, it was a close call, but he got there before they could attack...the trick is fight from the back foot, let the Werebears trail you to force them into single file, can take them down one at a time then 😊
I was playing Alternate Start and I chose "attacked and left dead", I woke up in Solstheim along the coast of the southern end of the island. I've never really played the dlc so I didn't know any better when I saw 3 guys in trousers, thought it was fine... they were motherfucking werebears... and I was level 1 with no weapon or actual armor....

only ever encountered a pack of werebears once, for some reason they were walking around Raven Rock until they noticed me, the guards didn't even have time to react as my level 20 swordsman was torn to shreds in about 3 blows
My first encounter with werebears was at Snowclad ruins. I was just exploring and doin my thing, had just killed Miraak so i thought i was king of the world. So when three shirtless men ran up to me I let out my mightiest FUS ROH DAH to watch them fly off the stairs and into the water.....boy was i wrong. Two were already in mid-transformation so they didn't move at all and the other had flown into the water. I faced my opponents with a daedric sword in one hand and a fireball in the other. They would feel the FUCKING DRAGONBORN. I went in for a swing and got off a few good hits before the second werebear flanked me and knocked me down the steps. It's fine i needed the space. I made the choice to get some heals in while i lobbed a fireball at the two still stalking their way down the steps. I was fending them off slowly backing away as they made their way ever closer when i heard an earthshaking roat from behind me and before i could turn around i was swatted into the wall by the third werebear who had crawled it's way back on land. Before i could rise all three had me surrounded and within seconds i was dead. Round 1 went to the bear Round 2 i decided to fight fire with lightning. I knew what i would be getting into this time so i snuck down to the bottom of the steps and began placing shock rune after shock rune when the first spotted me. There was no time at all before the three had transformed and like juggernauts they powered their way through. But it bought me the time i needed to bring out my two frost atrinochs David and Goliath. An even 3v3 battle quickly devolved as Goliath managed to take one out who had been hit with the brunt of the shock rune bombardment but the advantage didn't last long David was taken out in a few swings of their mighty claws and Goliath soon followed, leaving me to deal with the final two. I didn't care i brought out twin Daedric swords and was ready to begin the deciding battle. I was doing pretty good. I rolled behind the pair and let off a power hit to stagger one while i attacked the other. I rolled back once more and off the ledge and onto the stairs. I was ready to begin healing when the ring of Hircine decided to have me fight one beast with another. In the form of a werewolf i met them both on the stairs and entered into intense melee combat. I could see i wasn't going to win this alone so i'd retreat for now and regroup but i quickly realized that they followed whereever i lead. I took advantage of this and led them straight back to Ravenrock where a dragon was soaring overhead. Once it landed i ran to it's location and struck it once. The werebears soon followed suit and i used this as my opportunity to escape. I managed to make it out of Ravenrock and follow the coastline a little ways down when suddenly Hircine released it's grasp on me and i reverted back to myself. Immediately after the last thing i wanted to see had just been displayed across my screen. With an ancient chant accompanying i was alerted to the fact that i absorbed a dragon soul. I stood on the beach, my back to the water as i was ready to face destiny for better or worse. The red blips steadily got bigger and bigger until i saw a lone werebear trouncing over a hill. We both stared for a brief moment in recognition of eachothers might and cunning before charging with intent to kill. I let out a dual casted fireball before quickly bringing out my twin daedric swords, both still dripping with the blood of the werebear's fallen brothers. After almost a minute of combat we were each down to our last sliver of health. The next hit would decide the battle. He brought his claw up to swing. He was quick but my toung was sharper. I let a simple Fos ring through the air, making the mighty beast stumble just enough to allow me to land the killing blow. Round 2 due to permanent TKO has gone to the Dovahkin
What I love about graenolf is how he not only explains things within the game lore etc but he goes into it like a storyteller around a campfire he draws you into the world to explain the goings on within said world, my favourite lore explainer channel for elder scrolls above Fudgemuppet
I was on my way to a quest and encountered a pack of werebears attacking a pack of wolves or something. When I saw them they ALL stopped fighting and ran to fuck me up. And it just so happened that I had been running away from some rieklings. :'(
I went werewolf vs. werebear. Thank goodness for that strong dash attack (until one of them did a "normal" swipe and sent me flying. Got torn up while my character struggled to stand. Got out just in time.)
I remember fighting these guys but I found their fatal weakness they can't transform faster then my werewolf bite can tear them apart and my werewolf pack is greater then there's when using my howl skyrim only has room for one were creature in it and unfortunately for them I'm at the top of that food chain
For the number one spot as a stealth build they were so easy to kill they practically jumped in the water to get away from me, but then the worst happened...THEY TURNED INTO WERESHARKS. (RIP Me)

The random werebear encounter nearly got me. I managed to get some distance between me and them. I used the last of my health potions, and then I used my own beast form power. It was one werewolf against three werebears. It was still a tough fight, and anything that got in the way was fair game. I thought dragon priests were tough, until I ran into these things.
I love how Graenolf is able to tell us cool facts while still being able to make me die of laughter. Also, screaming *OYFUM* is very essential to educating people into the history and encounters of Skyrim. Thank you for such knowledge, Graenolf.

I was just minding my own business down by the beach running around as a werewolf then all of a sudden as I was running I ran into a werebear it literally followed me around the entire island and hit like a truck and ended up dying

The random werebear encounter nearly got me. I managed to get some distance between me and them. I used the last of my health potions, and then I used my own beast form power. It was one werewolf against three werebears. It was still a tough fight, and anything that got in the way was fair game. I thought dragon priests were tough, until I ran into these things.
