[LYRICS]
Bake your own bread, it's the way to go
Don't be lazy, don't be slow
Rollin' that dough, makin' it rise
Homemade sandwich, a real prize
Mixing the ingredients, measuring with care
Kneading the dough, it's a form of self-care
As the dough ferments, the flavors bloom
The aroma fills the room, like a gentle perfume - Хобби
Josh Weissman been real quiet since this dropped
Not to mention every popular food youtuber posting shorts
hopefully he stays that way
Like quite for about an hour?? 😅😅😅
He better stay that way.
I used to like Josh when he first started but his content has steadily been getting more and more irritating
finally, net shaqs ONE good video a year
I've come to accept that I will never have an original thought or joke in my life
@@Trych09 This joke is the top comment every year, don't worry
Unlike Joshua Weismann, who never misses.
/sarcasm.
Josh misses every video
FAKE REPLIES
P A Y ... 4 .... LIKES .....😅 This is the fake profile
The slightly fucked subtitles were the icing on the cake for me. Always love the April fools vids!
i really liked "Yordy Gnome"
Hollow piano
YORDY GNOME
butter base your meat.
4 cards
The completely worthless shorts loop was an excellent touch
"and that's why"
I hate those loops so muchhhh
Why would anybody like to get tricked into watching the short again even if it was good? Apparently some people do cuz they always gush about these loops in the comments
@@smutnejajo5149 It's like how some people gush about how good a RUclipsrs ad read was. I don't mind the ads as we're all here to get the bag and I'm certainly never buying something sold by a RUclipsr, but my faith in my fellow man crumbles when they brag about watching advertisements.
if there was an option to turn the loop off I would choose it
heck if there was an option to turn shorts off I would choose it
heck if there was an option to turn youtube off I would choose it
The chimichurri crust scrape sound is ASMR to my ears
This was beautiful
My favorite part was using a squirt bottle to get the chimichurri into a squirt bottle
Oh and a little something around 0:46
I had to pause the video and that was the exact frame.
Those netshaq knives are no joke! I bought one and all I do with it is hold up individual sheets of paper and cut slices off of it. I've never cooked once in my life
But is your sharpening routine as ritual as a Catholic mass? Please don't tell me you're not using Japanese whetstones we will all laugh at you
Bro you got to get your knife game up and shave off some arm hair.

This was an excruciating watch, great job
I hate this! It is revolting!
- "more?"
Please!
The 'crispy' texture on the sauce literally had me laughing out loud to myself. Look forward to this video every year.
“Kwwwwwispy”
definitely an Adam Ragusea reference
The music being just loud enough that its really annoying was a nice touch
I've watched this several times and I'm still finding new details. The messed up subtitles, the clearly post-added sound effects, the _slightly questionable_ cooking technique, the unnecessary thirst trapping, the bad knife work trying to hide behind fast-forwarding, the not so subtle self sponsor, the god awful transition into a loop ending, the phrase "POV" that doesn't really mean anything, THE LOFI LYRICS I'M JUST NOW HEARING. And so much more I can't even list. This might be your densest video to date, and that's saying a lot.
Makes me wonder if the concept was an AI cooking channel.
Yesterday I watched a Josh Weissman vid called “make philly cheesesteak at home” and the first steps were to make your own bread and then cut steak with a deli slicer.
😂😂😂
>watch recipe for making bread dish at home
>be surprised when it includes the making of the bread
Damn.
@@8xottox8 hey idiot, when people say "at home", it's implied to be accessible to regular people who have access to regular grocery stores and not enough time to bake their own bread or have deli slicers. If they did have that, they'd look up "How do restaurants make philly cheesesteaks"
@@8xottox8 should I milk my own cows and make my own cheese too? The point is an average home cook will get nothing out of a video like that. The short also parodies creators like him
@@Dolphinately And yet somehow your lazy ass will not have this same take whenever Shaq mentions cooking a dish with his own home grown veggies and herbs. Actual bozo mentality.
Yo the best part was how at the end he says "and that's why" because then the video starts over and it's so seamless! How does he come up with these genius ideas? 🤯
lot's of things to love about this but i think my favorite is the extremely forced and completely nonsensical "perfect loop" at the end
saying “it’s perfect” and then giving it a 7/10 is the icing on the cake for me
grateful i forget the netshaq april fool's episode every time until it's on my feed, it's the best surprise that you'd think i'd remember by now
scraping the sauce w the knife absolutely killed me lmao
I was skeptical, but it really takes an incredible chef to calibrate a rating out to three decimal places. Stunning.
The flaky salt in the 5 minute caramelized onions got me good.
So many great details but I loved the subtle mispronunciations
That crispy chimichuri looks next level 💯
kwispy
Nice
Getting your April fool's short video sponsored is a flex
He really has a talent for scrutinizing and portraying the oversaturated-to-the-point-of-annoying mannerisms.
the 20psi chim spray onto a chefs tweezer had me rolling. 10/10 king
This has the DNA of so many over the top chefs its perfect
the energy in this vidya is perfect
lost it at the speed cuts and the over the top orgasmic taste test that EVERY OTHER cooking page on instagram/shorts has the awful habit of doing
The nodding makes me so fucking angry. I don't know why but when I was visiting Europe, I was advertised realllllllllllly annoying nodding food/meal prep instagrams non stop.
the chopping everything just to then blend it was golden
Ah, Shaq's annual best video
Watching the landscape of cooking media change over the years has been interesting. It feels like just yesterday the top down, sped up Tasty style video was the standard for cooking content.
Now production quality and editing has gone through the roof and this Weissman/Max the Meat guy style is everywhere. Dim lighting, close ups, fast cuts, and an emphasis on the sounds of cooking.
the true april fool's prank is when you pwn the fire department by starting a grease fire from alpha-basting your ribeye
I will simply put out the grease fire with water, I'm too alpha to call the fire department
I hate that NetShaq knows how to create such a perfect uncanny valley. What a cursed video, great job
If that's how Shaq prepares his steaks I'm hoping to be reincarnated as a cow 😳😳😳
real
I look forward to these posts each year and this did not disappoint.
Scraping the chimichurri with your knife was my favorite part
Thought you fell off as soon as I saw the nodding, then I saw the calendar and was like *nods head*
SMASH THAT WHISKY WHISKY SPATUFLIPPIN’ LIKE BUTTON AFTER YOU FINISH CLAPPING, BOIZ!!!!
This is so perfect because one would think it just mocks homechef tiktoks by being over the top, but there's so much greatness in here it also mocks the homechef tiktoks that try to be over the top ironic, sarcastic and lE rAnDoM with stupid shit sprinkled in just to bait engangement.
Bro, I'm super hype for the way this channel is going. Needs more tasty B-roll though.
love the new josh weissman video! Keep up the good work Josh!
Perfection! Definitely fueled by your rage against these types of creators.
Your April Fools Day videos are always amazing!!!
Fantastic work! Loved the "2 carbs" at the very beginning xD
This had me rolling 😂😂😂 pure gold!
The utter joy I get from these types of videos you do, and the fact I can almost pick out who you're parodying.
This was good but I was really hoping for some footage of somebody slicing soap in a different resolution, or maybe some trackmania. I really feel like the sensory information density could be taken up a notch
I'm not gonna lie that actually looks pretty good
Still out here making the best content on the internet. Everything from the faces, to the subtitles, to the robot voice outro with that god-forsaken song. Incredible artistry.
That sound is amazing
lost it as soon as the first spoonful of butter flew off screen lol, 10/10
Man you really nailed this one
Masterpieces every year dawg
I dont think people realize how amazing this is. he took literally every single cliche for cooking/food videos and mocked them all seamlessly. the scoring, the cheese pull, the nutritional facts, the meat squeeze, the giving wrong measurements, the the crispy audio, the looped video
Hey shaq. Good video, but could you please buy a much brighter ring light for your next video? I had trouble seeing every pore on your skin…
The crust sound on the sauce got me good
Another year another banger
The seamless repeat at the end made me scroll down LOL well done!
LMFAO I hate the way these creators position themselves for the vertical video, this is amazing
Got 90s R&B music video vibes especially with the onions.
The texture of that chim-chimney sauce sounded amazing.
I forgot we were already in April.... And i was concerned during the first seconds. The scraping sound on the sauce had me really chucking. Thank you shaq!
I forgot what day it was for a second. You get me every year!
Ugh i was praying there would be a cedric lorenzen impression 🙏 bless u shaq
This is the kind of joke videos I wish I could make. So perfect.
The triple gloving was great.
I always love the annual April first vid(only watched the past two years). Can’t wait till next year. I might for real make that sandwich though
this is a masterpiece
i look forward to this every year
something I found as a "quick caramelized onion" trick that tastes closer to the real thing is to use jamaican 'browning' which is just dark brown sugar caramelized as close to burnt as possible then dissolved in salty water. i made it myself because the stuff from the store had weird artificial colorants. it's awesome for adding color and accelerating browning
For me it was the butter being flung straight out of the pan on the baste.
The thing that always bewildered me I'd how those types of videos look both super high effort and super low effort
look forward to these every year
I gotta try this!
LOL this is immaculate. happy April first!
Just one of the best steak videos I have ever seen
I appreciate all the frame matching gags 🤌
I love when you can just *see* who the april fools vids are satirising
I’m stunned. Pure human genius
Sliding the knife on the ramekin was so perfect
This energy reminds me of his old F it up series. So great
Thank you once again
You missed the well-timed, percussive cutting and scraping ASMR edits that every 'chef' has to do to get the algorithm all whipped up in a frenzy.
The misspelt caption is what got me. I love this man.
this is what I've been waiting for
Art.
Josh, Jose, the dude who makes all those crazy ass pizzas. He hit everybody. LMFAO
This definitely feels like a friendly
jab at JW, but also some subtle jabs at other YT/Short Form cooking content creators 😂
I don't think it's that friendly, and it's more specifically a jab at the guys that slap the meat, the shirtless cooking dude and the guys that constantly grope their food like they're going to have sex with it
lmaooooo that French shirtless cooking dude that practically rapes his food in every video.@@EnanoPancracio
Absolutely hilarious
The real technique here is the butter basting. Whipping it just right to baste your meat and add a delicious "poutine" to your cast iron stove top for added flavor to your cookings. My dad taught me how to season the cast iron like that too, you gotta have the poutine.
A paradigm shift in internet cooking.
Bravo Senõr, bravo.
Best food content ever
The fact you actually had a netshaq knife made. amazing
the SCREAM I scrempt at your extremely accurate manhandling of the dough. A+ sir I am in desperate need of bleach for my eyes.
Subtitles really made it engaging!
IT was great up to the April Fool's part. The Chimichory kept me hanging in there. The pre sliced loaf bread is hysterical.
Transferring the chimchuri sauce into three separate containers was my favourite part of this, but it was all immaculate. Well done NetShaq
Scraping the knife across the chimichurri killed me.
Am I the only one who would actually love to try that sandwich?
i'm so glad i decided to watch this today instead of trolling myself by saving it for later and watching it a week later like i normally do
I gotta try these onions man, an absolute beginner like me always takes like an hour to caramelize my onions
God, the looping "and that is why..." thing people do on yt shorts or whatever grinds my gears so hard.
