She’s said in a video a long time ago that the kids get part of the profit (I don’t remember how much) for the videos that they are in. It’s not apart of the budgeting money she gives them. It’s like doing extra chores for more money

I have a Greenlight card and it’s very helpful to help me keep track of my money. I am 16 and have had it since I was 13. I would definitely recommend.
Your a good parent. As someone whose parents did a very similar thing, you’re doing it right!
You could also take her to Walmart and Ross. The clothes are cheaper than her money would go further. Target is expensive.

This is such an important lesson to teach children and I wish my mom did this with me instead of being so controlling because now I’m not great with money and now trying to reverse terrible habits and it’s so hard! But I’m trying!! This is a good parent here!! And also schools should also teach budgeting and banking and finances and credit scores and taxes and all that but noooo they teach things that we never use. SOUNDS good.
I taught my five kids money management with cash. A debit card is too easy and doesn’t truly show them how to be financially responsible. Life is different now, and it’s so easy just to pull out a card.
Cash doesn’t show them how to be anymore financially responsible, especially if you properly explain what a debit card is vs a credit .
This is the old school mentality that I was taught but is exactly the opposite of how I operate now as an adult. My bank account is my real money. All the money I won. I track that within an inch of it's life. But cash doesn't affect my bank account. I can drop $100 in cash and my checking account (aka my real money) stays the same.

The world is using less and less cash. We have our older teens regularly monitor their debit card app. It has been working for the past two years.

I have a greenlight card and its very useful like you can lock it knowing that my information wont get stolen and you manage your money and customize and play the games and learn something new with the games

I was like this as a kid as well. But then one of my parent started to take my money without my knowing and i never recover so I'm constantly struggling cuz i usually spend all just bcs I'm scare someone takes it from me

Im 16 n I have a job so I make my own money etc my mother made us get rid of cash app etc and made us get green light and USAA banking and she's able to transfer all my money from my accounts and stole all my money so I secretly made a cash app and got with my employer and my dad and I now have my checks sent there but I'm not saying all parents r like that but that's how my mother used greenlight and USAA so I wouldn't recommend letting your parents get that for u

I stopped clothes shopping at Taget. It's expensive for what it is. Also, their fashion sense is not what it used to be.
