I love, love, love Forestella. I'm so happy that you found them!!! There are so many great performances. I recommend Bohemian Rapsody as well as one by just one of the members who performs both parts of The Phantom of the Opera. He is a tenor/soprano and is the only member who has had no vocal training. He and some friends put a rock band together when they were in college, and he played guitar and was lead singer. The amateur band went by the name Pitta. The group consists of two Opera singers, one musical actor and our amateur freak of nature who is a chemical engineer and the only one of the group who had a "real job" before becoming a member of Forestella. I'm sorry that I can't remember their names which is sad as I've been a fan for two years. My excuse is that I'm old. 😊 Anywho, sorry for rambling. I also recommend well, everything they've done! Before the military service MinGyu was in Seoul Metropolitan Opera. If you think a "real job" means office worker (Actually HyungHo worked in the lab tho), well, I'd rather say he was the only one far from theater business. Even though just as a hobby he was 10 years experienced rocker at the point of Phantom Singer 2 audition.
@manaciel I meant that he was an amateur singer and not a paid vocalist as the others are. Honestly, the term "real job" was used by the narrator in one of the many mini documentaries that I've watched about Forestella. Regardless, they are all fabulous!

BTW WooRim was a 3rd grader in the university at that time, so Forestella is WooRim's first "real job" lol. DooHoon said they met everyday except for 1 or 2 days in a month. 😵

Ko Woorim, the bass, is actually the rarest opera male voice, a basso profundo. He's classically trained. There's another League of Legends cover from them you MUST check out! Good reaction to a stunning cover. I agree with you entirely about the quality of their music arrangements - it's probably their biggest strength AND they have vocals to die for. For innovative covers try Bad Romance, Time In A Bottle, Shape of You and Sweet Dreams. Ko Woo Rim the bass is stunning. Forestella use him brilliantly and I think their bass gets a much better opportunity with them than the basses do in the excellent acapella groups. Tragically for music lovers he has just started 18 months military service.

Yes! Forestella, I was so Excited! Woorim’s BassBaritone is the incredible foundation for this and so many of their other songs, which you usually don’t see, sh So Incredible. Yes their originals are amazing!!! I would suggest Angels next to show their diversity. As a group, their diversity and styles remind me of Dimash, just incredible, Angel is truly angelic and again starts with the baritone, who is unfortunately currently serving mandatory military service since the end of November. The band was formed through a singing competition. Ko Woo Rim is the one with the deepest voice . He's the maknae of the group and he just started his military enlistment. They are fantastic!

Info on the bass singer: As people mentioned, he’s called Ko Woorim, and he was majoring in classical singing in Seoul University when he entered an audition program called Phantom Singer and became a member of Forestella. He’s the youngest member of the group(I mean he was only a college student when he started). Also one huge issue about him is that he’s married to Kim Yuna, the legendary Korean figure skater who was gold medalist in the Vancouver Olympics and also silver at Sochi. They met during a her gala show where Forestella was invited to sing, and they got married in October 2022. Which is why he’s widely known in Korea as ‘the National Thief’ for stealing our figure skating queen’s heart lol… people absolutely adore them😂🥰

I have seen all of Forestella’s performances multiple times & they still give me goosebumps. They are my all time fav vocal group & the bass singer Ko Woorim is probably my favorite singer ever. Ko Woorim is a classically trained opera singer, which is probably where he learned to project his voice like you were talking about. He has such a lovely warm tone to his voice. Aside from their angelic vocals though, one thing I love about this group is the way they arrange the songs they cover. Quite often I prefer their cover to a lot of the originals.
The Bass, Ko Woo Rim is an Opera traind singer. The tenor/soprano is only one with no training. He has his own band (Pita) the other soprano is trained and the Baritone has training

Yes John, the bass guy sucked me in when I listened to them the first time. They are all good but that bass is hauntingly mesmerizing! You hear him in the songs they do and Despacito is a fun one. Their harmonies are one of the best out there….very in sync with each other!!!
Forestella often take turns to take the lead. If you want to listen to their original songs you need to start with Save Our Lives as it is the first song in a trilogy of songs. I know you mentioned how much you enjoyed this arrangement. Aside from this, I think you would really enjoy their performance of MAMA, I'd love if you checked it out next. I'd also recommend Hijo de la Luna. One of the members of Forestella, Kang Hyung Ho (his stage name is PITTA) did an individual performance of Phantom of the Opera that I think you would enjoy as well.

Yes! Forestella, I was so Excited! Woorim’s BassBaritone is the incredible foundation for this and so many of their other songs, which you usually don’t see, sh So Incredible. Yes their originals are amazing!!! I would suggest Angels next to show their diversity. As a group, their diversity and styles remind me of Dimash, just incredible, Angel is truly angelic and again starts with the baritone, who is unfortunately currently serving mandatory military service since the end of November. The band was formed through a singing competition. Ko Woo Rim is the one with the deepest voice . He's the maknae of the group and he just started his military enlistment. They are fantastic!

As people mentioned, he’s called Ko Woorim, and he was majoring in classical singing in Seoul University when he entered an audition program called Phantom Singer and became a member of Forestella. He’s the youngest member of the group(I mean he was only a college student when he started). Also one huge issue about him is that he’s married to Kim Yuna, the legendary Korean figure skater who was gold medalist in the Vancouver Olympics and also silver at Sochi. They met during a her gala show where Forestella was invited to sing, and they got married in October 2022. Which is why he’s widely known in Korea as ‘the National Thief’ for stealing our figure skating queen’s heart lol… people absolutely adore them😂🥰
Their kids are going to be super talented.

I have seen all of Forestella’s performances multiple times & they still give me goosebumps. They are my all time fav vocal group & the bass singer Ko Woorim is probably my favorite singer ever. Ko Woorim is a classically trained opera singer, which is probably where he learned to project his voice like you were talking about. He has such a lovely warm tone to his voice. Aside from their angelic vocals though, one thing I love about this group is the way they arrange the songs they cover. Quite often I prefer their cover to a lot of the originals.

The Bass, Ko Woo Rim is an Opera traind singer. The tenor/soprano is only one with no training. He has his own band (Pita) the other soprano is trained and the Baritone has training
They are the best quartet in the world! Like you said they have the best vocal choreography! Each member has a wide range and they work very well together. Every performance is unique and exceptional!
I highly recommend Forestella singing Inner Universe from Ghost in the Shell. It's one of my faves from them, but honestly, any song from this group is incredible.
Yes John, the bass guy sucked me in when I listened to them the first time. They are all good but that bass is hauntingly mesmerizing! You hear him in the songs they do and Despacito is a fun one. Their harmonies are one of the best out there….very in sync with each other!!!

Forestella often take turns to take the lead. If you want to listen to their original songs you need to start with Save Our Lives as it is the first song in a trilogy of songs.
