(I had some during the 20 hours it took to render this lol) WordGirl means the WORLD to me, and I hope this was a good watch for everyone who feels the same. The very first art style I had been just me mimicking the worg style lol and my first online username was “drtwobrainsfan”. It’s so funny that the thing I’d be obsessed with as a brand-new graduate is the thing that I was obsessed with as a kid ehehe. Here are the /neg thoughts: I’m aware the fandom has its issues like any other. I’m sorry to fans who have been harassed and bullied, you didn’t deserve that, and I hope things are better now after blocking/reporting those awful people. I, too, had a very upsetting experience when I first joined the fandom again earlier this year, but after blocking the person it’s been a lot better! This video is also meant to encourage the fandom to remain kind and supportive of one another. I hope I highlighted that well ^^ (okay negative thoughts over!!) I know I shouldn’t point this out, but also thank you for bearing with my pronunciations xD I’ll get better and more relaxed the more I do these :D I have SO MANY funny video ideas that are also meaningful to me (and probably a lot of you if you liked this video), so I’m looking forward to making more vids!! They'll only ever look towards the fans when they see something they can use from them (without credit). The rest of the time, they'll take down anything that wasn't okayed by them and use copyrights and trademark law as the reason why.

I always wonder if playing Steven/Two-Brains influenced Tom Kenny being chosen for Simon/Ice King. Both characters marred by tragedy, leaving behind the young girl they were once close with.
I grew up with this show, and I was overjoyed when the fandom had a surge in popularity a few months back. Now I can see just how well made this show is in all aspects, and I'm so glad the show is still gaining appreciation ❤🌟

Seeing how I was in my late 20s when I got into Wordgirl and loved how the writing, comedic timing and like you said hi it doesn't treat children like idiots., I'm genuinely surprised more people around my age or younger have found and loved this show as much as I have.

This just makes me so happy. I've been in the close-knit fandom of Wordgirl for a long time, and the resurgence brought back some fond memories of early internet culture. I watched a lot of PBS as a kid but never heard about this show which is a shame because English and vocabulary were my favorite subjects growing up and I would’ve adored Wordgirl’s more mature, clever writing like something I’d see on Cartoon Network. I found out about it when I was around 18 on the internet with the most adorably wholesome fanart, I had to check it out and loved it. Now I’m almost 30 and seeing the fanbase flourish like this is absolutely heartwarming! Wordgirl deserves the fame 😄

It's weird that Tom Kenny only voices 2 scientists who suffer from some kind of dementia allegory. Even the ways two brains and ice king interact with the rest of the cast are remarkably similar.

nearing the end of this and this has just been fantastically put together…also i love the crackship mentions, i can relate to these things starting out as a joke and then becoming serious (me over here who accidentally started shipping mr big and seymour in a way of “they hate each other but also theyre gay” because of ONE singular joke i made that cemented my view on them forever). its so refreshing to see how welcoming the wg fandom is of ships that r more uncommon or even dont really make much sense, considering i see a loot of hate on rarepairs on tiktok from other fandoms. the wordgirl fandom has been nothing but welcoming since i joined and i’m so grateful for the short time i’ve spent in the fandom for that reason. it truly is such a lovely community who have an astounding amount of passion for the show and it shows in everything that people make from art, videos, fanfictions, and even just social media posts. it’s amazing that this show has been able to bring together a community like this that continues to grow until this day. sorry for writing an entire essay in your comment section SHFHEHDHS i loved this video and also i love your art having seen a lot of your content in the tumblr tags when i was getting into the show and was too shy to interact with the community, so i was extremely excited to find out you were making this video. like i said this is an amazing video and you should be extremely proud of how it turned out!
I actually started watching the show last month and it might be one of the best shows to air on PBS. It reminds me of early Arthur in how it's hitting the adult audience as well as kids. I think I grew out of PBS the year after it premiered on there but I wish they had did something for its 15th anniversary. It's impressive that it managed to last 8 years on there and it's still so funny years later. The only thing I wish is that it had an actual ending to the show (maybe seeing Becky's actual parents from Lexicon, Becky telling her family who she is or fixing Dr. Two Brains).

Me encantó, entiendi la mayor parte de tu video, no soy buena escribiendo en inglés, pero aun asi escribire lo que opino sobre estos sucesos y por que me volvi fanatica de esta serie. Cuando me aparecieron recomendados clips de la serie note que ya lo había visto antes, por lo cual decidí investigar sobre esta serie, recordé que cuando era pequeña vi por discovery kids dos capítulos, en ese entonces no me había llamado la atención. En la actualidad amo los programas animados que estén muy bien escritos ,aunque sean con un fin educativo, pero llevado a un nivel muy curioso y sea entretenido para la mayoría de la audiencia (como 31 minutos). Para mí mala suerte descubir que el doblaje en español solo fue en la primera temporada y parte de la segunda temporada (por lo que investigue fue debido a quejas de padres de familia). Eso no me detuvo, uso traductor, me propuse a investigar de la wiki para saber más de los personajes y esto me motiva a aprender más inglés. He hecho algunos dibujos a lápiz de Becky y sus amigos, de algunos villanos y hasta incluso hice un robot unicornio con un estilo similar a los robots en la serie y con un poco de historia del mismo. La considero una gran joya, espero en el futuro poder entenderlo por completo y me encanta el contenido que hacen los fanáticos.

I always like Wordgirl because I always like seeing the idea of people suffering for doing good. It makes it so the audience can believe when they do something out of character because they seen what happens when they do good. But ultimately they will choose to do good. Also this kids were THIRSTY for each other.

Honestly I'm not really surprised that it has a fandom like this. Danny Phantom ended like over a decade ago, with no new content since, and the fandom is still going strong! It's been pretty steady, not a big boom like word girl's though.

Imagine we get multiple spin-off TV or movie projects surrounding WordGirl’s many enemies. It’ll be like what Sony is doing with the Spider-Man villains. Maybe give them an epilogue to what they’re doing after the series has ended; maybe develop them into anti-heroes or anti-villains that fight against evil.
I really liked Word Girl when I saw it on TV several years ago [even while already an adult], so, as a brony it's great to see that it developed such a nice & productive fanbase! And to develop background and original characters so well, I can certainly appreciate! I'm just sad I missed so much of it!

aw thanks! i do think miraculous' hold on us is very quickly diminishing. wordgirl focused solely on the show and being educational and entertaining while i feel like miraculous is mostly about selling toys which normally wouldn't be a bad thing bc it supports the show but man... i do miss the magic of the beginning of the ml series. (i have! i think an internet pal of mine drew them in the academy outfits xD they're so cuteeeeee)

Loved this show as a kid, and I was pleasantly surprised and excited to see the resurgence of the Fandom on TikTok just last year. (Said fandom was previously nonexistent as far as I knew). nearing the end of this and this has just been fantastically put together…also i love the crackship mentions, i can relate to these things starting out as a joke and then becoming serious (me over here who accidentally started shipping mr big and seymour in a way of “they hate each other but also theyre gay” because of ONE singular joke i made that cemented my view on them forever). its so refreshing to see how welcoming the wg fandom is of ships that r more uncommon or even dont really make much sense, considering i see a loot of hate on rarepairs on tiktok from other fandoms. the wordgirl fandom has been nothing but welcoming since i joined and i’m so grateful for the short time i’ve spent in the fandom for that reason. it truly is such a lovely community who have an astounding amount of passion for the show and it shows in everything that people make from art, videos, fanfictions, and even just social media posts. it’s amazing that this show has been able to bring together a community like this that continues to grow until this day.

I actually started watching the show last month and it might be one of the best shows to air on PBS. It reminds me of early Arthur in how it's hitting the adult audience as well as kids. I think I grew out of PBS the year after it premiered on there but I wish they had did something for its 15th anniversary. It's impressive that it managed to last 8 years on there and it's still so funny years later. The only thing I wish is that it had an actual ending to the show (maybe seeing Becky's actual parents from Lexicon, Becky telling her family who she is or fixing Dr. Two Brains).

Me encantó, entiendi la mayor parte de tu video, no soy buena escribiendo en inglés, pero aun asi escribire lo que opino sobre estos sucesos y por que me volvi fanatica de esta serie.
Cuando me aparecieron recomendados clips de la serie note que ya lo había visto antes, por lo cual decidí investigar sobre esta serie, recordé que cuando era pequeña vi por discovery kids dos capítulos, en ese entonces no me había llamado la atención.
En la actualidad amo los programas animados que estén muy bien escritos ,aunque sean con un fin educativo, pero llevado a un nivel muy curioso y sea entretenido para la mayoría de la audiencia (como 31 minutos). Para mí mala suerte descubir que el doblaje en español solo fue en la primera temporada y parte de la segunda temporada (por lo que investigue fue debido a quejas de padres de familia).
Eso no me detuvo, uso traductor, me propuse a investigar de la wiki para saber más de los personajes y esto me motiva a aprender más inglés. He hecho algunos dibujos a lápiz de Becky y sus amigos, de algunos villanos y hasta incluso hice un robot unicornio con un estilo similar a los robots en la serie y con un poco de historia del mismo. La considero una gran joya, espero en el futuro poder entenderlo por completo y me encanta el contenido que hacen los fanáticos.

I always like Wordgirl because I always like seeing the idea of people suffering for doing good. It makes it so the audience can believe when they do something out of character because they seen what happens when they do good. But ultimately they will choose to do good.
Also this kids were THIRSTY for each other.

Honestly I'm not really surprised that it has a fandom like this. Danny Phantom ended like over a decade ago, with no new content since, and the fandom is still going strong! It's been pretty steady, not a big boom like word girl's though.

Maybe give them an epilogue to what they’re doing after the series has ended; maybe develop them into anti-heroes or anti-villains that fight against evil.
I really liked Word Girl when I saw it on TV several years ago [even while already an adult], so, as a brony it's great to see that it developed such a nice & productive fanbase! And to develop background and original characters so well, I can certainly appreciate! I'm just sad I missed so much of it!

aw thanks! i do think miraculous' hold on us is very quickly diminishing. wordgirl focused solely on the show and being educational and entertaining while i feel like miraculous is mostly about selling toys which normally wouldn't be a bad thing bc it supports the show but man... i do miss the magic of the beginning of the ml series. (i have! i think an internet pal of mine drew them in the academy outfits xD they're so cuteeeeee)
