1. Gourmet is a skill from the Blood and Wine expansion (I highly recommend playing it after main game) 2. The skill tree is rewarding for focusing on branches, for example: whirl (level 3 combat skill you mentioned around 1:00:00) unlocks a new combat move. The same goes for the sign branch - some skills unlock an alternate sign mode - (personally preffering basic mode for most). It is recommended to find a path that suits you best, some players focus on pure combat, others like to cast signs or alchemy before combat for immersion (although the combat itself is good enough to beat the game even on higher difficulties - that water hag with skill icon for example) 3. Armor class can be changed in the Hears of Stone expansion - you can switch from heavy armor to light if you like the look but it doesn't suit your playstyle/selected skills. (Again, highly recommend playing both expansions) 4. [30:40] Water hags will wag their tongue at you. If I remember correctly, you can cut it off in the air with a well-timed attack - the same goes for some monsters tail attacks
1:11:43 fun fact, they look like aliens because they are aliens. The conjunction of the spheres mentioned many times in the lore explains that creatures from other dimensions and planets came to the witcher planet. So these creatures also came from other worlds
When crafting armor if you look at all the ingredients you can sometimes buy them if you don't have them. If it has the yellow bag in the top right corner you can buy it. You can also pin ingredients so you can find them easier in the crafting menu. If you're missing an ingredient that you cant buy or find you can also dismantle items in your inventory to get the specific ingredient you need. Also the QuarterMaster in Crows Perch sells some really cool armor if you wanted to buy some too early game. He's to the left of the Armorer. Hope that helps! :)
Also, enemies with shields...ignore them and kill the rest. They can block your sword AND Igni. When it is just them left, use Axii so they drop their guard and you get a few swings before they block again.
@@cotg8029 yeah sometimes in the middle of combat I forget everything you all say in comments and just start going ham 🤣 I gotta contain myself sometimes lol
Keep your skills consistent in type and mutagen - you have 3 blue (signs) skills but you put them in 2 separate branches. Move the single blue skill into the socket with the other two and blue mutagen - the bonus will increase significantly. If you wnat to respec your points you must buy a special potion. Inglots are for crafting. Dimeritium ingot that you got this episode is the most precious one, never sell it. Dimeritium in neccessary for grandmaster witcher armor. Saddlebags can be purchased from merchants or acquired via some quests. If you're looking for upgrades visit Oxenfurt or Novigrad. Snow region = Skellige.
go into character panel, and pane over to the crafting section. You can see what armors and weaps you can make and what materials are needed. Then find a smith to make them for you, for a fee. And all the gear you grab, if you want to seel them, sell armor to an armorsmith, and weaps to a blacksmith. You can also have them break down stuff, including junk in yoru inventory, into materials needed to craft stuff.
Gwent. Norhtern Armies. Get all the spy cards for card drawing pawer. Have a few target dummy's in your deck so you can pick up any spies the enemy plays, and recast them. Hero cards are not affected by weather cards. Try to make a deck with 1 type of troop type (Melee, Ranged or Siege). You dont get to draw any cards after the game starts, except using spy cards. I would google where you get the spy cards and get them first.
Just so you know you have repair kits that you can use to repair your weapons and armor for free, that way you don't have to spend coin to repair them. They're located in your inventory, same section where you hold your weapons and armor.
Try to loot everything. Even the common swords, as you can sell them and make quick money. Because you are gonna need money in later stages for sure. Great Playthrough, Loving it!
Getting better and better, great video(s). As for usefull skills..Whirl is one of the coolest! Seeing your combat preferences- you'll like that the most😊 Also :Undying skill -red branch -ressurects you instantly!
You need to download the blood and wine dlc to unlock the gourmet skill. The game of the year edition of Witcher 3 came with both dlcs (Blood & Wine and Hearts Of Stone)
Some tips, if I may: If you don't have the right crafting ingredient, it may in some cases be possible to acquire it by taking some junk or unused items you have in your inventory apart. Remember to use your armor runes too. And also use all the saddles, blinds etc. you get for Roach.
Go to the quartermaster in Crow's Perch. Nilfgaardian saddlebags for sale. Then there are even better ones in Novigrad and Skellige. Eventually Beauclair in the DLC. There will also be an ability you can add to increase carry capacity and there is a potion that helps too. It's worth it to pick up even the crappy swords and sell them. You can even sell duplicates of books. Crafting gear gets more and more expensive so you want to keep making money. Keep an eye on the bonuses on swords and armor. Sometimes even if the sword is stronger the bonuses are more beneficial than the increase. At this stage of the game you are probably better off just upgrading to the best gear possible, which is usually Witcher gear regardless of whether it's light or heavy because things unlock at different levels. Also, move your blue ability all under the blue mutagen bracket. It helps. Oh and White Orchard Inn keep has several cards. I believe you can win one off a guy in Vizima and many people you play.
Generally, you don't "find" wicher gear. You will find the schematics; With that, you then need to find a blacksmith or armorer to craft the item for you provided you have the correct materials.
You're doing great mate. Great in combat too even with high level enemies , I m impressed, very aggressive. So in White Orchard there's this merchant near the bridge. He sells the Temerian saddles to increase your weight capacity. Also Temerian armour is a cool light armour if you can afford it. I m sure when you reach 17 you ll be able to craft cat school armour. Keep it up🤘
at a blacksmith, assuming you have enough materials, you can create +5 runes for your weapons. I would suggest three +5 chance to cause burning runes in each sword. 15% hance per hit to light them on fire.
12:20 Poor F****ing Infantry is a pretty strong card =) One alone is bad but if you have 4 on the screen you are really good to go. Read what the handshake is good for, it is an awesome technique. Quote: Tight Bond: Place next to a card with the same name to double the strength of both cards. So every time you put one down they double the strength ;)
I think you should’ve get a two sets of free armor and weapons (a decent and good looking also) while you visited Yen in Vizima. Might wanna check your inventory box in White Orchard, Baron house, or Novigrad.
No you won't. As it explicitly states on the description of each witcher item, the set must be upgraded to grandmaster level to get the set bonus. Each piece has its own bonuses and resistances though, and they aren't affected by what else is worn or not.
